ChrisLeeBoost
What fuel pressure should I be running with fpr on 0.6 bar or 0.8 bar
Gainzy
2.3 is stock fuel pressure to run 1 bar is around 3.1 bar if your running ct9 you only need to run stock fpr.
Ollieh17
Leave it at stock
patman
If the fpr is already fitted set it to 2.3 bar when car is up to good temp when idle then get a wideband installed to keep tabs on the a/f readings,
ChrisLeeBoost
Will be running td04 with only fpr I've heard nothing but bad news about fcds so want to steer clear of them if possible! Been told also to just run standard td04 actuator because it runs .5 boost standard so what would Psi would I set the fpr up on to run that? Only until I get piggyback ecu and other fuelling mods and stuff it won't be permanent
RobSR
Standard ecu fuels a td04 fine to 0.7 bar, so leave all the fuelling alone until you have a mappable ecu if you don't know what you are doing.
ChrisLeeBoost
So install fpr or leave it running on standard one?
5e colin
no more then 7 psi on a gtt ecu
ChrisLeeBoost
98 spec Glanza mate is there much difference in ecus?
5e colin
to my knowledge no but some say they do 0.8 bar tdo4 on stock ecu fueling ( ep91 ) i will have to see that myself before i believe it
ChrisLeeBoost
For the moment I'm just going to run td04 on standard fuelling with no fpr and no fcd and standard actuator so will run.5 to be safe until I get more bits picked up for it, need to get the standard cast mani off its like a siv there's that many holes in it so just want to get td04 on asap with new mani! starletezy
Had a td04 setup on my ep82 GT running 0.9bar on standard fueling for 3 years no problems on standard ecu hope this helps
Dan507
I've asked mike at TD the same question, and he said for reference 2.7-3bar for TD04 @ 1 barand for a ct9 he said around 2.6 @ 1barstandard is 2.
Johnboy GT
Now see I was under the impression it was 2.4 bar standard. That's what I've set mine at t run her in anyway.John
RobSR
Its 2.2/2.3. You'll be fine at 2.4bar for running in.
patman
Fiddling about with a fpr, I would definitely say get a wideband installed, can take a bit of time getting the fueling right as you have to keep stopping and changing the fpr slightly till it's right but a wideband is worth it saves keep taking it to a rolling road
Johnboy GT
Haven't had any issues and she's at about 550-600 miles now which is about as much running in I'll be doing. Yeah been toying with buying a wide band for a while now. I'll add it to the Xmas list 😅John
patman
It's worth it John mate, I had a few bugging me on here about it aswell, saying you should get one and in the end I did, looking at the readings I had at the time I'm so glad I did aswell, and mine had just been ran in aswell at the time Edited December 2, 2015 by patman
Johnboy GT
It's worth it John mate, I had a few bugging me on here about it aswell, saying you should get one and in the end I did, looking at the readings I had at the time I'm so glad I did aswell, and mine had just been ran in aswell at the timeMaybe order it today or tomorrow and book the car in to get a bung welded in. Cheers Patman!John
patman
Your welcome mate, don't forget the bung has to be welded 36inches away from turbo and have a slight angle 10 degrees think it is
Johnboy GT
Yeah that will land in my removable section I had made to interchange a cat for MOT so that's pretty handy.John
patman
Wicked John
ChrisLeeBoost
Yeah Bung has to be angled slightly upwards I think to prevent moisture, running standard fuelling at the moment no fpr and no fcd and standard td04 actuator at .5 and it's running spot on, want to up it to .8 or a bar tho so will be getting some sort of engine management and that after Xmas
ChrisLeeBoost
Sorry bringing an old topic up but I've hit a brick wall again with the car, I've went external wastegate setup wepr kit and a turbosmart wastegate, now the car is boosting to about .7 or so is that high or will it be okay on stock fuelling?
