fordie_glanzaV
Right after a long time coming I've decided to do a progress thread. Im only going to skim past main points as i cant be bothered to go into detail of previous progress lol.Been in a starlet for a good 4-5 years now owning this little 1I got very bored and always wanted to build 1 from scatch and how i wanted it.Never liked the colour so.... Friend of mine on here done me a very good deal for this After hours of going through colour chips at work and trolling google I've found my colour scheme... thats right pink and green.. 2 colours u wouldnt put together i know..Toyota/lexus desert sage green &General motors raspberry Strip down was on.. and everything was coming off the silver v and put on the black 1.. 1st things first bay stripped and painted Now that was done everything was a straight swap for engine loom and interior loom.. Engine got sent off to have a check over with a crank seal to be done, Spec 6 puk clutch fitted and and gearbox syncro sorted.. All was good and ready to be dropped back inCleaned up turbo kit and got some thermal velocity magma wrap and done the manifold That was ready to be fitted and everything plumbed upNow most of that was done i cracked on with the interior getting that wired up and fitted I finally got everything working as it should and got the old girl fired up and running.. Chuffed to bits all worked... now to crack on with getting her painted.. So over christmas i got her to work with few bodywork extras that my misses brought me. She'd treated me to varis rep bumper and livesports rep wings.. Work was shut over christmas so had the time to get on with the old girl and get her into colour After this not much progress happened as i lost my mum just after christmas so lost intrest in the car. But onwards and upwards im getting back into it this last week. Had this from browner a few months ago nice cusco 6point cage The front half is painted and the rear is off having a diagonal welded in should be back within the week. Not much els to report on at the moment just need to flat and polish it, paint front bumper and wheels and finish putting it back together. But did decided to get the car out today and take a few pics of how it stands currently Then 1 in the sun ;)So far im happy with the car just need to sort the wheels outHopefully now i can keep on track of the thread and keep it updated. All comments welcome wether they are good or bad Edited September 26, 2016 by fordie_glanzaV

dan106
Looks brilliant! I reckon a gunmetal grey on the wheels would suit it, or something bright
fordie_glanzaV
Thanks guys... White really suits the colour. I've thought of going bright but its finding something that will suit the pink and green. Also got a titainium chrome effect or cream in mind :/ having to many colours to play with makes it hard work lol
