wickedep
haha yeah danny...because i was racing against a long time rival and i had a total of three runs...i had to change rod bearings after each run and all in under 20 minutes each time...also because the bearing was fragile due to damage sustained earlier on before the race..i had to run less boost..i could only rev to 7500..no anti lag...no launch control. so the road to victory was not at all easy..thats why i was so happy if anyone wants to know why we needed to change bearings..just scroll up a couple of posts and you will see how one rod was damaged earlier on before the race. wickedep
ok its been a LONG while since any updates. the car sat for almost 14 months in storage up until recently....here's some recent pics etc.. had some fuel pressure issues when we began to tune...i suspect for some reason the pump's been affected by it sitting for so long without start. haven't had time to dismantle and check. so was limited to 1.8bar and even then after 6500rpm it was starting to run lean. how ever still made 360whp@1.8bar (will post dyno sheets soon). if things didnt start to run lean...we reckon we could have squeezed out another 10-15whp at same boost. but we'll leave that for next time... a clip of her starting up for the first time in 14 months... http://youtu.be/4He_w66msto some fun with anti-lag http://youtu.be/QpOAeEeECmk if you guys are following us on facebook...you will see more pics and videos posted by others on our wall. next on the agenda...get the fuel pump sorted..more boost..more power! hope ya'll like the update... Ethanep82
How much did it weigh?
wickedep
its slightly heavier than her last time out. but the weight is better distributed for traction. 705kg's. there is a few more things i want to do...i should be able to drop another 10-15kg's

Darraghmh91
Stunning car what made you choose the haltech ecu? Am surprised you don't run. NitrousI'd say it's cause haltech is the best ecu ever ha worth every penny
wickedep
haha well Motec is the best...but yeah, for the money, haltech is pretty good. i want to upgrade ecu's a little further down the road. but there are other things that are a little higher up on the priority list N2o is great...but there's much more power to come without it. but power is the least of my worries as i have trouble with traction. so more traction and little weight loss is next on the list. now my work has piled up again...lord only knows when i will find some free time next to work on my own car haha
_shaun_
Yea the motec stuff comes at a fair price! When the time comes to upgrade ecus I'd certainly be interested in a price for your haltech set up! I bounce between the haltech and dta ecus but just can't make up my mind the e-manage does the job but a standalone and custom looms just eats away at me to be done ha! wickedep
hey guys..finally got around to updating this...The car has been through a few changes from the last time i updated. some of you guys are aware of how it looks now because ya'll follow us on facebook/Insta etc... this is pretty much how she stands currently. had the car on the rollers last night..made 397whp@2.3bar with the car loosing traction all through 4th. Next we turned the nitrous on and wheel spin just got worse on 4th and even on 5th. so for now power with Nitrous is unknown ...but it will be back on the rollers again soon.. below is a video of the runs.... https://youtu.be/EFcjl9l5UTk hope you guys enjoy it...
