Had to trailer The car to my house since its a fresh import, not even registered yet & never seen the Scottish rain Edited April 2, 2016 by crispyeel

crispyeel
Not been on the forum much lately but there has been some good progress made with the car. Now all fully UK registered, taxed & insured HDI intercooler fitted, air filter relocation, blitz bov and the Japspeed cat back Still got some tidying up to do under the bonnet but this will be done while the car is garaged over winter Within the first 24 hours of the car being on the road I under sealed the car at my work. I have since put another coat on last weekend but I could not believe how clean the car was underneath. Hopefully I can keep her that way! crispyeel
Well its been a while since I last updated this thread. Few changes have been made and still got a lot more planned The car drives ok just now but suffers from the common and dreaded boost creep and hits boost cut regularly due to this. Something needed to be done With some of the plans that I have, the car will require a remap. Managed to secure a Greddy Emanage for a good priceAlso managed to cut a deal with a friend on an upgraded turbo, exhaust & tial external wastgateFinally got some time yesterday to set about removing the old turbo & manifold setup. Was surprisingly easy considering that I am not a mechanic by trade. Only issue that I came across was that I had to split the turbo off the manifold to get to the lower manifold nutsNew setup was already to fit as it was removed from a Glanza. New manifold gasket fitted and braded coolant lines fittedAlmost good to go but just need to get my hands on a new pipe for the air filter relocation as the CT12 is obviously larger. Also need a new oil return pipe as the old CT9 one is too short. Also need a smaller radiator as the hot pipe sits hard against the standard radiatorBeen very much trial and error with this car and I have loved every minute of working on it so far and looking forward to getting it running with the new turbo setup very soon! daniel_g
Good work, should be a decent setup
crispyeel
Latest addition arrived today. Half sized alloy radiator. Just waiting for the mounting kit to arrive. Hopefully get this fitted by the weekend
crispyeel
Been a while since I updated this thread. Quite a bit has changed since the last update Purchased a Greddy Profec boost controller so that I could safely control the boost for and after the mapping Also purchased some new blue silicone hoses to fit to the new radiator Radiator was a complete sod! Fitted perfectly apart from the bottom radiator hose fouling against the screamer pipe Decided to take the radiator back out and send it to a local welder to have the bottom outlet cut and moved over approx 4" to allow clearance of the screamer. Got the radiator back less that 48 hours before my 4 hour journey down to Tuning Developments for my E-manage mapping session Thankfully the radiator was perfect. Re-fitted, filled and bled before taking the car for a short run to double check for any leaks. All was good Edited September 15, 2015 by crispyeel
