They common on these mate. Take the pulley off and bottom cover and you should see no oil but if you do then it could be the above

Oh right I get you. I'd spray it or copper slip it to help movement. I have had this before on a old Austin and it did work, but you may have already done this?

Possibly crank oil seal or pump oil seal and its getting flicked everywhere. As for the misfire :/ I'd just compression test it and see if its that mate

I'd just adjust th cable tighter, if that's possible?

The only thing I got wrong with mine is a O2 sensor, that's it lol. Got all the optional extras and everything and is surprisingly nippy

Best thing is to get it replaced otherwise things will only get worse mate, you don't want to end up compressing water a bend a rod. Plus leaving the headgasket too long will cause you to possibly warping the head, causeibg you to spend more money.. Headgasket a become so common on these cars..

I don't know tbh bud. I did try cleaning itand resetting the ecu but it wouldn't have it. It's just odd that it did it after the leads and plugs were changed. When I took it out it was chalky, which I know is a good thing.

Dangerous things IMO as I had mine fitted, then ran mean and blew my position ring lands. As above a good ecu and map is best. With good supporting mods if course.

Could be valve clearances. If incorrectly set they can cause poor performance.

Hey all, Got my car yesterday and engine light came on. Checked it out and it's the lands sensor, which I've j don't know. Anyways, I know this can cause the car to run rich etc, give shite fuel economy and loads if other issues. Right, I drove home last night from stoke to kings Lynn which is about 120 miles. I got a polo 2.6 gti and the day before I got it there were no eml's etc at all, but then it had a misfire on cylinder 1and ran rough and was the leads, so they were replaced and the eml stayed on. The guy went and got it cleared as the O2 sensor threw up a fault, the guy just thought it may have over compensated the fuel mixture when it misfired.. I'm not sure can you guys help? The car runs fib, drives great, got from stoke to kings Lynn in 20 quid fine..
