  1. 100% grand, if you were worried you could maybe go baffled if your going to find long corners you enjoy taking at full chat lol Phil
  2. but the water/coolant doesn't cool the turbo during use. Phil
  3. the cooling circuit doesnt cool the turbo much during running. agreed. infact the turbo heats the coolant during running, on a 4e when many run a half size radiator this isnt ideal. a cool down period easily sorts temperature difference between oil and turbo, during which oil has movement on its side to work against ponding/burning. a cool down period is completely feasible on a track car which was what i was talking about. however on my road car ive no problems fitting that cooling period in also. 4. yup, dont lighten. your pick up is less with the knife edge. and whip is impossible with a stock crank as its not the full assembly(clutch flywheel) balance that stops whip its the single element, ie the crank needs balanced bang on (like stock) if you know what you want and can explain it to you engineer and there is some benefit that you need it done for, then fire away. but i would be MASSIVELY surprised if even the 9sec malta drag 4e runs anything lightened in the flywheel/crank department. Phil
  5. same here, if it the silver gt in the picture, why on earth would you let it go bit of paint at some stage and no more gazebos and boom sorted Phil
  6. Too true Noel, commonly striped and even incases forced back on the wrong thread, its awkward granted but dont going wrecking things but it may not even be your fault, the previous owner could have screwed it up when fitted a lower arm bar or changing out a wishbone. Phil
  7. if track use only then an oil cooler in the system and a solely oil cooled turbo would be ideal. tried and tested on cossies/lets etc let your coolant/radiator deal with engine only. i see the point, but its more about asking less of the system in return for easier maintained temps with sustained use. Phil
  8. sounds like you've got your head screwed on the right way, good luck with the project and hope you enjoy whatever route you take. i warn you though, with performance comes fun lol Phil

  17. if you want a cheap solid manifold they do exist they arent toyosports and they can be ex/wgate. Eric/billybob in Ireland makes them and they are apparently very good. if i didnt have a beautiful e/wgate setup already then its definitely where my money would go. Phil
  18. who is sorting that for ya? Phil
  19. True words danny boy, but the VF8 is the father in the family Ive two vf8s and a vf10 here, all old, but not abused on the legacys. Phil
  20. no arrival yet, but patience will be extended to our friends in royal mail as usual lol the turbo is an old favourite, standard td04 fitment but it is a VF series IHI turbo. Phil
  21. VF8 turbo here. 1bar standard internal = the job. and some 370cc straight fit injectors also braced that right up and you would be sorted Phil
  22. must just have been the two videos ive seem from you happened to be there! sounds good though, and as others say, mentioning honda when talking about what an exhaust sounds like is simply stupid. Phil
