Josh@TunerLifestyle's Project Glanza *20/06/14*
Bluebear replied to Josh@TunerLifestyle's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Looked fantastic at the weekend Josh, well worthy of the award. The splashes of pink everywhere just make it. Especially that cage, lord! -
I'd be all over her like a fattie over a pasty, but fuck me, I'm not sure whether to be mortified at the absolute train wreck her life is starting to turn into, or to just get the popcorn and enjoy it.

All shall be revealed at JAE. Truth be told, I am not at all happy with the paint finish on them, but the current tyres on my Rotas are pretty much illegal now so they have to be fitted. Am going to give the wheel refurb place a lashing though, find out that they were playing at and try and get them to redo them after JAE. Also tested the cooling system now that I have the 1.3bar radcap, doesn't seem to be overheating like before, but the expansion tank is still filling up under sustained heavy load in 5th (high speed ;p), so whether that is just a shit stock cooling system on the starlets, o

I'm having this exact problem, got myself a 1.3 bar radcap on the way and hopefully that'll solve it. Any airlocks should have been well gone by now, and I don't think the rad itself is cracked.

Hair's 1992 EP80. -Big fat update 15/03/2014-
Bluebear replied to Hair's topic in EP80/EP82 Progress Blogs
We seeing this at JAE then? -
Well, after checking, it seems the blue smoke is only very very intermittent, and only on startup. Will leave it until it starts getting worse. I was having problems with my cooling system when going on *ahem* high speed runs. (To be fair, Dad kept egging me on ). Under very high load it seems that the pressure gets too much and forces its way inot the expansion tank, filling it up and leaking out of the overflow a bit. Rad cap is probably fucked, so I've got a TRD 1.3 bar radcap on the way, hopefully that solves it. If not, then we'll know it's a more serious problem. Other than that, ther

Beaten your credit card debt or personal loan..
Bluebear replied to 1991 starlet owner's topic in Lifestyle General
Got a £2,000 limit CC last year when i was needing to get the GT on the road, and that got stuffed with costs like coilovers, clutch etc etc. Cleared it off a couple of months ago, and just put the car insurance payment on it which I can easily clear. Trick is to not just let it get too out of hand. -
Gay ass starlet called Glanza

^^^ Please tell me you're joking!! What a fucking shame! -
Need to see this in the flesh some day

I tried a standard with mine and it was miles off touching the clutch, as soon as I put in the Ogura bearing it was fine. It's a strange one, I've heard a lot of people say standards are fine and then some say (including my own experience), that the Ogura one was needed. Were the release bearing forks ever different between gearboxes? Surprised this clutch hasn't sold yet either way!

Hey mate, I'll grab the TRD rad cap off you. I assume it's still working alright? I think my standard one is letting go atm. -
Thought you were on a bigger set of wheels there than 15", those tyres have really compressed under cornering on the Carousel!! Skits aren't too far off scraping either haha. Looks liek good fun and the car is looking fantastic now, fair play Chris!

Euro probably suits the look of the N/A EP91 better than any other Starlet shape to be honest.

Ross' TD04 V - New Wheels (mega JDM rareness)
Bluebear replied to rkane's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Meisters are a lot nicer for UK roads I'm guessing. I've never had Teins so I can't comment, but a mate who had a ride in mine with Meisters commented on how much nicer a ride it was. Teins made him sore haha -
To be honest, my dad drives the GT sometimes and he's just started drawing his pension hah

Just casually driving into Morrisons carpark to pick up a bit of lunch and there's a bone stock Glanza S driving out, with some old biddy at the wheel. I was gobsmacked, I drove past her, but she didn't seem to recognise the Starlet GT so obviously not into her JDM Starlets hah. Must have bought it without really knowing what it was.

I must admit, I did wonder if you were going to be there in a more 'official' capacity this year since JAE kept posting last years vid on their Facebook wall a while back
