  1. Well, I got the intercooler pipe needed back off my mate who has done a sterling job of cutting and welding it to suit the turbo. Took it out for a blast last night to see what the mani, decat and external wastegate are like, and oh my word! Feels soo much more better being able to keep my foot firmly down and not have to worry about boost creep and fuel cut! The wastegate has a 0.8 bar spring in it, so just a little over 0.1 bar over stock. However, on the way back home, the coolant temp gauge just suddenly shot up and engine light came on. Immediately killed the engine and pulled in to fin
  2. Canada for two weeks! A good friend of my mums lives in British Columbia, and her children are getting married and we've been invited out! One wedding is up in Whistler Ski Resort, and the other back at their place in Mission, should be good fun. We've been there before and loved it, plane tickets are expensive though.
  3. Ahhh, sorry Sacha, my mistake, I thought you only offered the Power Up kit for the CT9!
  4. My mate is just needing to make the 'angle' in my pipe just a bit more... erm.. angled. It may well be a problem with the FMIC kit itself, as it was always a bugger to get on with the stock setup. Plus the car's front frame may be slightly out of whack anyway (had a bump in the past before I got it).
  5. We're faulty coolant sensor bros now. Bonded for life etc.
  6. FTT must be common, there's a Glanza local to me with a reg that ends in FTT, but thats P930, not P791 I'm afraid.
  7. Just got a secondhand Zisco ramhorn style mani, and I'm having to modify my intercooler pipe (the one that bolts to the turbo compressor housing), to match up to a slightly different angle. But the kit largely keeps the same position of the turbo as the standard, whereas the WEPR kit moves the turbo over to the passenger side quite a bit IIRC.
  8. Work Meisters? Although I'm not sure if the spokes are too thin and angular to be Meisters...
  9. I just wired my old blitz mechanical boost gauge into the stereo loom. Positive, negative, and then the light went to the green wire (the one that goes into the connector block, but has no pin on the other side), this will ensure your gauge lights up when your sidelights come on.
  10. Ohhh my. Shame I have a set of 5/4's already in the shed waiting to be refurbed, those look really nice. True '90s.
  11. Top stuff, I'll just cabletie it out of the way then! Cheers lads!
  12. I've just installed a Zisco kit with a decat and the top sensor is in and plugged in. However, there's nothing to allow the lower sesnor to be fitted etc, is this needed or is it only something that was required when using the standard cat (before and after)?. Are they even both the same type of sensor? I assume they're fuel/oxygen sensors?
  13. N/A got sold yonks ago Rob, yeah it's on the GT. Will take a look around tomorrow night cheers!

    High Idle?

Sensor may be the trick with mine, as my coolant gauge goes stupid at times, moving down in relation to the cars movement! Either a broken wire in the plug or a fucked sensor.
  15. Mega jelly that you have an LSD, those cancel out torque steer as well don't they?
  16. I think that if air disruption is kept to a minimum, or 'routed' around with vanes etc, it may be better, but to do that you're needing full on moulding.
  17. Excuse the absolutely shit picture, but something like this. Not sure if I'm being too complicated with the hinge, or even if you could take the board that far back (sump, exhaust, steerting and suspension will probably be in the way), but its what I dreamt up one day. Most likely highly unworkable.
  18. Ohhhhh my god! I've been looking into going full on track attack mode for my GT, but wouldn't have the funds for some time Will eagerly look forward to seeing this on! And yeah, for the front splitter, I was thinking bringing some bits of metal down from the chassis, welding some hinges to them, and then attaching the full splitter to them, with adjustable struts at the front tied into the front metal. And then for the bumper, have a lip of some kind, with a rubber strip on the bottom of that to meet up with the splitter so it's a continuous 'wall' so to speak. Air either goes over or under,
  19. Looks clean as fuck, happy that my money went towards this to be honest!! Can't wait to see what you do with it, enjoy the vtak!
  20. So is it the actual angle of the turbo where it bolts onto the flange of the mani then? Or would have mine been rotated to clear the mani? Also, if you had a decat, did you ever attach the brace to the gearbox? There's at least 3-4mm gap between the g'box and the brace, and I have no idea what bolt to use or what. Yeah man, I've been pleased how well my quick satin black rattlecan job worked! Looks well with the car. All the engine bay took was a quick wipe down with WD-40, brings the paint up beautiful. Then again it's always been in good nick, I've yet to see any rust there other than

    High Idle?

IIRC they should idle at around 800-850. Mine's started acting up recently, idling at 1500 when cold and down to 1000 when warm. Occasionally it drops to 850-900 with and without electrical load and then back up to 1000. Odd. Could be a bad earth.
  22. I remember you hah! How have you been? Still driving a Starlet?
