I'll be coming, but won't be on the RR; porting didn't work out

Well, time to put my mardy face on. While it's a lot better than it was before, it still creeps, eventually getting up 0.9 (not hit fuel cut though, backed off at that point.) Definately stays at 0.7 for quite a bit longer though. Time to look at lengthening my intake route then! Anyone want a filter relocation kit?

To be fair, we were fast running out of grinding bits (they were only tiny tiny things, went about through 5 on the turbo alone!). Hopefully next year, insurance and money will be more conducive to going down the new turbo set-up route.

Just ported my turbo today; hopefully it'll be enough to have stable boost and go onto the RR! Yeah, be good to see you lot again!

Spent the day grazing my knuckles and cursing at the turbo and cat today, some of those nuts are in awkward as fuck places to get to. Eventually got the turbo off and split it, and me and Dad have spent the last 3 hours porting the wastegate with some cheapo Chinese budget Dremel ripoff that didn't really seem to do much At the moment it's just shy of being 24mm across, it should be fine now I would have thought. Slight hairline crack in it, but we didn't take so much off there and there's only one. Going put the turbo back together again tomorrow and then figure out how we're going to get it back on the car! Probably be so much easier with a decat and aftermarket mani. With regards to the stock manifold, I've not bothered porting that as I'm not looking to go over standard boost anyway. If I do, it'll be on a different turbo set-up (possibly TF035 or TD04). Will get pics up tomorrow, hopefully enough has come off to give the finger to boost creep once and for all!

Carbon or black bonnet, carbon petrol flap, dark grey wheels (beefy looking 5 or 6 spokes), license ended in FTT. Anyone recognise it?

I know there's two guys with Starlets in Preston, there's Mulls (not on here) with a white Mk2 or Mk3 GT, and Gilly who's in the process of building a black GT (engine etc from his old white V), so wouldn't be him either.
