  1. Is it possible to rotate a injector 180 degrees or is there a spray pattern etc? The ones I have are the same as these I want to rotate them like this like the two on the right
  2. I thinks socks method was to hold your hand or something to block the intake of the turbo. If there is any leaks u will hear them. If the car stops then there is no leaks
  3. So just a follow up on this The loom complete and plugged into the car and running fine
  4. If lew doesn't take this I will
  5. Could you not just cut the shaft off so that it isnt in the diff? Since its a welded diff it would still drive fine with the 1 wheel or does the shaft have to go into the diff to seal it? Maybe completely silly but just throwing a idea out there
  6. Sadly not, thats why they are so dear for the EP Series. They are originally out of a MR2 as far as I know and then adapted by AP Engineering to suit the starlets.
  7. Ah yes pretty much the same idea as mine then. I was going I do that if it came to it but I'm just thinking about when it comes to selling it on I have the option to fit two cars. Thanks for the heads up on that
  8. So basically I bought a power fc thats for both a glanza and a gt turbo but it came with a EP82 loom and being the cheap ass I am instead of buying a 91 harness I have decided to make a loom converter using the plug off my current standard ecu and cutting a ep82 field harness in half. I have seen a thread about this before but the links to the pictures are dead so im not sure what way it worked but it worked in the end anyways. So some pictures. Apexi Power FC EP82 Harness . I started by cutting the connector out of the standard ecu which left me with this. Then I cut the ep82 filed harness in half which left me with this. So the idea is to connect these two together so that I can plug the ep82 harness/ecu into my ep91. So i started by connecting the wiring in the field harness to new ones that will join into the other connector from the old ecu, This was a very time consuming job since im no good with soldering but anyways theres 42 wires that need to be connected together here to extend it. Alll soldered then heat shrinked. Harness cut in half Slowly getting there A very very slow job that took roughly 5/6hours :( The next bit is to solder the newly extended wires onto the ecu connector plug, this is going to be a even longer job since theres so little room and each wire has to be matched positions between the two ecu's then checked again and again to make sure its right then its alot tighter then the other side. Some pictures of it connected together. I still have to finish it but so far im happy with what I've done. More to come when I get a chance...
  9. It's most likely the air flows through the two sides and then once u open the screen it bleeds some air out the bottom. Blow into one of the side ports and screw the valve and see where the air starts to come out
  10. Have you got any of these? The harness needs to be 3pin and the Solenoid or map sensor can be from either a AVCR or Power FC ECU if you have any spares lying about. Thanks
  11. Il take the clock surround
  12. Thats great thanks, Any tips on a cheaper option to expensive apexi map sensor? I know the loom is only around 15.
  13. Has anybody fitted a boost control kit to a Apexi Power FC? Is it a matter of replacing the standard valve with the apexi one? Does the map sensor need fitted to the side of the ecu in the 3pin port or does it replace the standard sensor on the bulk head?
  14. If hes using paypal then there is a good chance he is able to do a ebanking transfer. Sadly from experience I know there is no way of him getting that back if he sends it
  15. Im considering buying an apexi power fc if I can get a loom to fit my EP91, it currently has a EP82 loom so I would swap if someone has one lying about. Or I will buy one if you have one. Thanks

    Sold

    My offer still stands Phil
  17. I got it sorted, just driving around casually to make sure its not going to start leaking in the middle of getting setup. When do you hope to have it on the road?
  18. First time I've seen this wee car, looks well Phil. Still haven't got mine setup yet lol but I will get there, spent 7 days trying to get the fuel rail to seal properly so it better not need to come off again. What sort of setup are you running here then?
  19. If it starts to run lean over a certain pressure then its something to worry about lol
  20. Thats the problem, an auto TPS is 4 pin and the manual is 3 pin so I dont know how I would wire it up The car is definitely boosting the same pressure when the ecu's are switched.
  21. As you can see there is settings for tps open and tps closed. There is 6 points of adjustment that I can see, I will need to see what pins on the ecu these are connected to to see exactly what they do.
  22. Lol fair enough, What I'm trying to do it fit an aftermarket auto ecu into a manual Glanza. Maybe there is a fault with the ecu or something I cant get my head around whats wrong with it. Heres a picture of inside it.
  23. So after a bit of reading I've found out that the two tps' are totally different, where the Glanza one is a simple on off switch and the starlet one is a variable one which gives a reading on the throttle, a percentage lets say. So from what I can gather the difference between the two is that they read the opposite eg one is 5v when closed the other is 5v when open and vise versa. Could this be telling my ecu that I'm only at light throttle so don't inject alot petrol?
  24. Hi, I have a aftermarket ecu for a Auto Glanza that i'm trying to fit to my manual glanza, When I fit it the car doesnt light up the 3rd boost light and once the standard manual ecu is fitted again it lights up fine. It runs lean over a certain boost pressure on the auto ecu, I cant mind what it is but it must be related to the 3rd light not coming on. Here is another thread I've found that may be related http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/13718-auto-to-manual-ecu/ Is there any difference in the tps or the map sensor? Or even the wiring loom?
