Thats just a old rod and piston I have lying about so not out of my Glanza. Probably have the skinny rods on in the glanza. At least the 5e rods are the good ones, Im building a forged 5e would it be worth changing them once im this far?
-
They are actually Glanza rods. There's a massive difference in the thickness of the two so I'm assuming they are the better fhe rods then. Does this mean it will have the better cams as well? Yip must have been a early paseo. Do these sell for much second hand?

Bought a 5efe and tore it apart, are these the thicker 5efhe rods that are meant to withstand a bit of boost? 4efte on the left 4efte on the right 4efte on the left

Currently in the middle of rebuilding one of these at the minute only the 6v version. Sadly they have a case of burning the exhaust valves out and I think the 12v version is just as bad. Best just to do a compression test on it but it's the most likely problem -

Item Condition & Description: Brand new in packaging. Price: 200 + 4% for paypal Pictures: Payment & Shipping Details: £10 recorded

Well if it comes to it they wouldn't be too hard to upgrade then. See that's my idea of a well setup car there, quick spooling and plenty of power instead of a lot of power up top. I'm not actually too sure, I was just thinking about decking the block and head and a thin head gasket but I also have to worry about the valves touching the pistons.
-
Colin, I will be forging the engine so pistons, rods etc won't be a problem. I have 375cc injectors so I'm hoping these will be enough to run up to 1.2/4 bar. What do you think? Sadly a super charger won't be a possibility

Im currently thinking about building a high compression 5efte engine It will be running a td04 or maybe even a td05 if it comes to it. My question is, Do I build a high compression or low compression engine? Low compression will mean: more boost, therefore I will have to buy arp head bolts. less chance of det, so I can run standard petrol. Slower spool time so I would have to buy a hybrid/billet turbo. I will be running more boost so I will have to buy bigger injectors. High Compression will mean, I can get away with standard head bolts since i will only be running arou

I think it really suits your car to be honest.

Any interest in selling the commander separate? -
I'm in kavos at the minute, there deff isn't much of a car scene over here. Some real old classics on the road but.
-
Would it be worth while running a dual cooler setup for the chaps with larger turbos? There's plenty of room for one on the cold side pipe running to the inlet.
-
I seen this while on google thought it would be interesting for a few people to see so im just sharing it. http://glanzamini.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/intercooler-install.html
