  1. Hi, I have a aftermarket ecu for a Auto Glanza that i'm trying to fit to my manual glanza, When I fit it the car doesnt light up the 3rd boost light and once the standard manual ecu is fitted again it lights up fine. It runs lean over a certain boost pressure on the auto ecu, I cant mind what it is but it must be related to the 3rd light not coming on. Here is another thread I've found that may be related http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/13718-auto-to-manual-ecu/ Is there any difference in the tps or the map sensor? Or even the wiring loom?
  2. To be honest I would stay away from them big companies, you will most likely find a smaller wee place will do just as good of a job and not cost a arm and a leg. Only a tenner in magherafelt
  3. I know a chap in Magherafelt who welded mine but your prob too far away?
  4. As far as I remember the shock body is too small on the coilovers so but that was just a quick check. Now that they are in the car I might try again and see exactly whats wrong
  5. Yeah I made sure to drill the hole's in the so that camber would be near non existent. Going to drill them out so that I can add camber as well and go get it setup with 1deg or so on each side. I have adjustable topmount of ksport coilovers and they dont fit sadly
  6. That was the case for me. Ended up having to use copper washers and everything but hopefully the TD rails are alot easier to install
  7. Fitted my zisco rail and braided line, what a torture of a job to get everything to seal up properly. And a wee picture of my daily
  8. So over the last while I've fitted the DIY Golf coilovers and here is the final setup of how it looks Back still a little high Front is just nice
  9. I assume its going to be the same sort of setup with my zisco one. Make sure you have plenty of ptfe tape and install that on the threads correctly as I had alot of bother with mine.
  10. Thats it with the spacer above the strut top mount in the back so its as low as it could possibly go without removing the helper spring. To be honest the back seems great, once you hit a hard bumper it doesnt send a shock throughout the car like it would of. Fronts im not sure, i only fitted them last night and the car didnt move but I will get a run out this eve and see. If its anything like the back it should be good
  11. I finally got around to fitting the front coilovers this eve. Pretty Simple and straight forward to do. The hardest bit would be is drilling out the holes to mount the coilovers to the hub. Heres some pictures of the lowest setting in the front and rear. Havent done many miles since fitting the rears so I still expect it to settle down a bit yet and expect to have to raise the front after a while. Some pictures Front and Rear Rear still abit high Front is perfect height for me Overall Stance
  12. Aye that's the same way as I did it. Make sure your pointing the fob at the receiver and your pretty close to it. Have you a picture of the fob?
  13. What procedure are you using to pair up the fob? And does you interior light work? Mine didn't because the fuse was removed in the bay so I couldn't pair mine. Once I put in a fuse I was able to do it straight away
  14. Currently in a placement year doing software development. Getting paid for it and fix phones in the evenings for a few extra pound. Not easy tax, insuring and running two cars while trying to modify both of them for the summer
  15. A simple google search brought up this? http://austarletclub.com/index.php?/topic/13602-fitting-emanage-blue-to-4efte/
  16. I have the tube thing at the very top inside the car so it's as low as they go without removing the helper spring. Il see how they are after a week or so and get a few more pictures
  17. As mentioned watch out for play in the rear axle, they go that often it's very hard to get a good second hand replacement
  18. Over here we can be pulled to the side of the road and put on a mobile mot ramp and have our cars prohibited from driving and mot certificate torn up
  19. That's alright but the whole point in wanting them was that the spring would be tight in the shock unlike the lowering springs I have. 3 points here if a spring isn't tight. Yeah didn't realise how hard I was going lol on the private runway with a corner in it
  20. Sorry lads I've just got the back ones fitted so far That's it on its lowest possible setting on 15" wheels. Hoping it's going to sink down a bit more. Please excuse how dirty my car is by the way lol. Handling wise, it's more comfortable but for the first time ever the back of my car stepped out going around a corner but I did lift off pretty hard and I was just out of the car wash so I am a little more cautious now. I will get the fronts fitted soon enough
  21. I recently just fitted a zisco rail and a rrfpr so I have done away with the standard fpr. How do I go about setting the standard fuel pressure again to get me to the tuners? 2.4bar at idle with the vacuum on or off? On would mean the fuel pressure at idle is always 2.4bar and off means it will go down to roughly 1.7bar at idle? Suppose I have just answered my own question but I just want to be sure wether its 2.4 when the engine is in vacuum or when its at atmospheric pressure eg 0psi Thanks
  22. Lol, basically it takes a while to kick in and doesn't cut at 112mph all the time
  23. Is it a chance that the speed cut didn't kick in straight away. I know once I was on my own airfield it went well off the clock and cut out at about 140 or so?
  24. Thats the point that's making me stay away from the plans with high data allowance. If got the HTC one so just looking the new one since its out sort of thing
