Just find that the springs are really weak that's all
-
4-4250 looks good considering the history and length of ownership by you as well as it being in good nick although I've not seen it. I know for a fact that if my mate hadn't recently got his gt he'd have snapped this up. As you're in no rush then you're in a good position to just wait for the right person. Some people take the piss with their asking price and others with low offers so I guess it's just finding the middle ground
-
Good cars allways sell mate stick with it. I had stupid offers on mine without even seeing the car which pissed me right off. The first person to actually come and look at it bought it. Have you had anyone come yet?
-
Ha ha up to you mate but if/when you go down the performance route you might want to change it
-
Yeh the speedlines are standard on SRs but admittedly not the lightest. They do a proper Motorsport wheel that looks very similar but I can't remember the name and I imagine they are expensive whereas the safaris are easy to come by. I like the idea of a red SR
-
Absolutely lovely mate cracking car. A friend on here has a black gt square light- we work together and are converting it to a quadlight in the coming weeks I wouldn't fit the bailey mate they are pants from mine and his experience
-
Real shame about the four. Love a good quadlight though so stick a link on here to the new thread
-
I've always been sceptical about those sorts of ecus but you can't argue with the results at all
-
How hard are the jam manifolds to come by? I think with piggyback and map you'd easily see over 200 but if it's running nice then I guess there not much point! I keep looking at glanzas but have got no chance of getting one anytime soon. If i do though it'll get SR repped- much easier than bolting a turbo on or doing a full conversion plus I should make some money back.

Hi mate been meaning to read through this for a while, cars looking great. Looks like you're making more progress on track now- I imagine it's a little quicker than the SR! 191 is fantastic especially with what you've done so far
-
Hopefully the Shell was saved. Didn't fancy a forged build on it?
-
Keep it NA mate. I'd visit Motorsport Electrics and get one of their new ECUs fitted and mapped along with the corolla inlet and OBX you should see 100bhp. Get some black speedline safaris on there too
-
Have you still got it? Another idea I had was SR repping a glanza, much easier than boosting one and getting all the interior etc
-
Ah no way what happened to the gt4?
-
have you got any pics? you dont see many SR reps. When i had my ep95 a few years ago i was going to boost it and then rep an SR but sold it when i found out my wife was pregnant
-
I know what you mean, my fabia is lovely to drive, confy and pretty quick for what it is but it's not the same as the SR and you do miss the feel of them don't you
-
If he's got any sense he will keep the sr for sunny weekends and put the miles on the TT! We will all be kicking ourselves as I can see them now becoming collectable. If I could've stored mine I would've
-
Well done mate good ones are worth the money and defiantly don't hang about
-
As much as I loved the SR I want my old gt4 back next but that won't be for a while. Pleased the starlets doing well mate. Let's stop hijacking Dans thread lol.
-
Ha ha probably the same person who offered me 600 for mine. Wanted it for their son who just passed his test. Let me guess, all offers are without viewing the car
-
As lovely as yours is I could only have my old one back . Still doing lots of miles so even that's a no go . These will be worth a lot in a few years.
-
Lovely car mate if I was after one I'd snap it up. Good luck

Wow this looks fantastic

Yeh there's a couple of little spots all over the car it doesn't look too bad for a 71. Think it has gone now.
