  1. Don't know how the company are still in business as all of their products I've come across are rubbish
  2. I think mine selling as it did has pushed prices up. This is fine for the good examples but in my eyes it doesn't mean that every single one is worth loads more especially when they're missing some key parts. Mileage isn't everything either but with these it seems to make them loads more attractive to people. It is nice to see that potentially they are being recognised for being a bit special now though. I really miss mine and wish I'd been able to store it. Grab yourself a fabia vrs, I love mine it's brilliant
  3. Defiantly the one that was up for sale the other year with 11k on the clock. That's why the bay, underneath and exhaust have been done. Looks a lot better now but it's a bit steap. If it had the Remus system and original graphics then maybe. Think the sale of mine has pushed prices up!
  4. Ha ha I know that feeling, the guy who bought my gt4 didn't look after it but I got the chance to sell it on for him to Bean on here who's pretty much restored it, it too sits tucked away most of the time. Massively regret selling it and will hopefully get it back one day. Always loved the ek9's, the old jap stuff is going up in value now. Yeh I love the stock wheels to be honest, they suit the car well. I'll stop at around 180 by if the turbo ever dies I'll go for a hybrid of some sort.
  5. Yours is lovely just had a look, quite like it on steelies but love the original wheels and will be keeping them. Great on fuel even if I drive it hard it still Gets 45mpg. Got any pics of your ek9?
  6. Thanks, it's only the second car so doesn't need to be that big but bigger than the SR and 5 door. All seems fine on it at the moment. Yeh it's pretty nippy already but I'll probably head towards 180 ish and stop there. I think I'll save up for a stealth central fmic and egr delete to go with the map. I'll also have the money ready for an updated dmf and clutch as they won't be far behind with the extra torque.
  7. So since selling the SR the plan was always to get something that can handle the mileage I now need to do as well as being a decent second car capable of stepping up when needed, good on fuel and still a bit of fun. In my opinion you can't get anything better than one of these that ticks all those boxes. After looking at loads of MK1 VRS's around the 3k mark and realising they are all dogs for that money I found this one with two owners and 60k on the clock. The garage wanted too much for it but after some haggling it was mine. Pretty much immaculate apart from the odd little mark here and th
  8. My mate just baught this, it'll be very well looked after 😁 Can't wait to get to work on it
  9. Looks perfect mate love the speedlines
  10. Ah cheers Burty. The lack of power did bug me sometimes but that was out weighed by how special it felt. Kind of taught me that power isn't everything coming from some powerful stuff in the past. For me I just couldn't put the miles on it that I now have to do and had nowhere to store it :/ I do miss it. Yes mate 450 was a crazy price to get it for lol. When I drove mine into my local Toyota most of the staff including the manager wanted it. They actually wanted it for the show room and I was close to loaning it to them but they got told they weren't allowed to. lol honestly as soon as mine
  11. I got 2350 for mine mate and the ad is still on here if you want to see the spec/details of the car. If i was after one again i'd pay up to 2500 for yours if it's as clean as it looks. You're right though it does take an enthusiast to want to spend that much but good ones are really worth it and black ones in good nik are getting rare as you know. Mine seems to have got people thinking any old SR is worth double what it was 6 months ago now though ha ha. Like the silver one that's been on ebay for months with 90k, no REMUS back box and they still want 1500 for it. As already mentioned, if
  12. Much better mate. I think all SR fans agree that they should've had the 98 interior with 1.5
  13. I thought that about the light plastics but saw the bits I needed come up For sale so did the whole lot and it looked cracking. Why the hell didn't toyota make it like that from the factory
  14. Ah they look spot on mate really really nice- making me miss mine loads. He's got some really rare recaro fishnets with rear bench that have gone in, not my cup of tea as I think the 98's look great and mine had some lovely custom lowered subframes built from scratch
  15. More will come up but depends how much they are I guess :/ unless you Break the car to get some money back
  16. this is literally like watching my build thread ha ha they're so much better arent they. Now all you need is a welder friend to custom build some lower seat frames Turns out the guy who bought mine is now actually getting rid of my front and rear seats... sorry it wasn't in time for you mate. Now all you need is the rest of the plastics how come the door cards didn't come with the swtich plastics?
  17. sounds good mate. Ha ha you'll have to buy a complete car, the chance of getting just a box is slim.
  18. Get it rolling roaded before you do any mods as it'll be interesting to see the difference on the same rollers. Yep I had the same delemna with the exhaust mani. Yeh there's a few guys that have gone just over 100 but not many people seem to bother. 100-110 would be quite cheaky in an SR- I had a 4paw 95 a few years ago and that ran 100 with the close ratio box, felt bloody quick for what it was ha ha
  19. Plans seem what I was doing mate- sounds good I was running the Corolla inlet, panel filter and was looking at a modified exhaust manifold all mapped on an EMB. I rekon that would've cracked the 100bhp mark. Yeh easily done mate I managed to just about stick with an ep3 on the back roads near my house lol parked up next to him in Tesco and he said he thought 'those starlet turbos' were faster on the straights- should've seen his face when I told him it was 80bhp at best on an NA. My SR would run circles round the fabia but that's got big brakes and coilovers waiting to go on
  20. Yeh stock for the win although I always liked the idea of owning a clean standard one and another that I'd just throw round a track with different wheels etc. Sounds good mate that's what my next step was if I'd have kept mine. Yeh miss mine a lot as it just felt special driving it- the fabia doesn't have much soul or that old car feel. it's a cracking little thing though and already feels good on stock power. Some of the lads push them to 250ish but I can't really see the point to be honest. This is me sort of behaving for a few years and saving until bean is ready to sell me back my old g
  21. Did you go for a stock like colour with the wheels? Yeh I thought long and hard and looked at a lot of cars but you just can't get the same economy, practicality and performance from any other car in the same price range. The only trouble is that there are a lot of dogs out there and after seeing quite a few I managed to find a good one with only 60k. Yeh it goes so well for a car that's only meant to have 130 but has already held its own against stuff it shouldn't have. Got some Audi TT calipers waiting to go on which were dirt cheap compared to my twin pots on the SR and just about to orde
  22. Good work mate you can tell how clean the car is in those pics. If you can stretch to it I highly recommend a fabia vrs, one with around 100- 110k can be had for 2k
  23. Brilliant mate can't wait to see it sat on all four spacers. Makes me miss mine :/
