  1. I can't mate it needs to be kept nice I'd hate doing all those miles in it. I like just using it when I want to at the min.
  2. He's been in contact on another thread- he basically nearly went under because of an unreliable supplier so had orders mounting up and trying to forfill them. I'm sure he will be back on it all soon which is great to hear as the products are great
  3. They might not as by the time she's done I'll be due a posting to a different unit in the army so would be moving. We can't afford to have three cars even if the starlet is off-the-peg road. We'd need to buy a second diesel for me :/ Don't get me wrong is be in no rush to sell it and wouldn't let it go for less than I'd want as it isn't happening just yet
  4. She lives in the middle of nowhere mate and even if I could that'd also mean it's sat up there and I'm 200miles south. Trust me mate I've been thinking of nothing else since we found out
  5. So I've been saving up for a half rad kit for a couple of months and at the same time been waiting to hear from my wife's work to see if she can work at the reading branch after her maternity leave. Just as I've got the most ey for the rad kit it we hear from her work and turns out they're a bunch of complete xxxxxxs and she has to go back up to Nottingham to work. If she doesn't then we lose about 8k in maternity pay that we've already had. So basically it would mean she has to move back up to her Mums with our boys and I'll have to travel up every weekend (around 400 miles a weekend). I thi
  6. Are you talking about the compressor the whole time there or have you moved back on to the IS? I'd have expected more from merlin given their huge Motorsport experience. Not fitting an intercooler is a big mistake and is what saps so much potential from the standard car.
  7. With the Corolla compressor Toyota just slapped a supercharger on a 190 and hardly touched anything else- pretty much every one I've ever come across has had loads of problems in and of of Toyota- my dads was no exception. Intercooler and piggy back with a decent map and the car is completely transformed and a lot more reliable. My point is that Toyota don't always over engineer everything like we all think, especially when they offer these performance kits
  8. I'm going down the same route but with proper management as it should get the best from the set up without destroying anything. Worth a try though mate if you don't mind it going wrong
  9. Cheers lads yeh that's what I plan to do just didn't want buy some and find they didn't fit

    Coolant hoses

Are Glanza coolant hoses the same as NA's? I want to renew mine during the civic rad conversion
  11. I've always wanted a turbo SR and I think it's the easiest way to do it really. Then I planned to sell the glanza parts and probably make a profit to be honest. There's still a chance I might have to let mine go but I should find out for sure really soon- just waiting to hear back from my lasses work. Anyway I'll stop cluttering up George's thread
  12. If I had got my hands on a decent black glanza before the SR then the plan was to buy a rough one and convert it making it an SR turbo. that would've probably gone down like a lead balloon though ha ha. Easiest conversion though
  13. Shit that's far! Have a few people done the throttle body then? I was thinking of a custom exhaust mani etc but have decided to just save that money for the turbo conversion I think. Part of me does want to keep it NA though.
  14. That's cracking mate! We were joking about the Corolla inlet but it obviously does something! Going to get mine on a RR as soon as the half rad and paseo air feed are on, just to see where I'm at.
  15. Glanzas are great looking things although if I ever got one id have an NA rear bumper as I don't like the glanza ones. There's something almost retro about a stickered up SR though the 205 rallye and nova hs are pretty rare things now and in a few year hopfully the SR's will reach the same status
  16. I think it's mostly because you can just rep an ordinary starlet mate so why use an SR when you end up changing everything about it that makes it an SR. They are rare now if you go too far with the conversion it'll never be an SR again. As walker said though I guess it just makes ours rarer ha ha. I agree that it's completely each to their own and the car looks fantastic.
  17. I've made offers on some in the past but people would rather leave them sat there than sell them on to be used. Tried to buy a white one at my local Toyota- old lady owned since new but she loved it and wouldn't sell it ha ha
  18. Sounds like it'd be mint if you ever converted it back
  19. Yeh the French one had a few tricks up its sleeve I've read up on them now. I do still like the uk one though mate bit like an SR really I guess ha ha.
  20. I've got no idea what happened to my white one, it was so clean. I did see it about 3 years later in a local town and the tte exhaust was gone and the whole thing looked rough :/ to be honest when I wanted to mod it they wernt that rare and I was a bit obsessed with changing things on cars. Nowadays I'm much happier to appreciate certain cars for the way they are and keep them that way. I'd love a standard gt4 and just get it mapped with a few cheeky hidden mods but nothing you could see. Ah right- the pics made yours look like it was crazy clean mate but they can be deceptive can't they.
