Shouldn't make a difference if its bypassed. I had a similar issue where my turbo wouldnt boost over 0.1bar spent ages checking things, turned out turbo was knackered. Have you checked the weld on the wastegate penny?
I found without a sealing ring you'd get no boost at all! And you'd hear the exhasut gas leakage. Is the turbo laggier than normal? Also is the any funny noises when turbo is boosting? Could be the spring is shit? Have you tried it with the old one back in?
i found with a ally civic half rad the radiator always appears to be alot hotter than the standard one. However the water temp, shown on the gauge are infact lower than before
yeh japspeed and jperformance ones are three piece too, they are blitz copies. A blitz nur spec one could possibly fit but would be cheaper to buy a whole new japspeed probably
have you had a previous issue before with oil? When a previous turbo went I replaced it and still smoked, turned out there was oil in the intercooler. Only takes a drop of oil to make a fair bit of smoke.
I could insure astra vxrs sts and all sorts with 1 year driving 1 year no claims at £21. New cars are silly cheap for me. Mates type 25 blob eye scoob was cheaper than my glanza
