  1. I'm thinking about A050-M for mine, for a few reasons. They come in my size, big advantage! Available in Aus, 1 of 2 countries where it's available(!). good grip on wet, but it never rains here anyways... Plus they look great.
  2. I dropped my part numbers list at Toyota at lunch time today, will pick the quote up tomorrow, as they were closed when I left work. Got some good stuff on there I'm thinking about noise. I left (well, was forced to) my car at work, replacing the noisy wheel bearing. That noise gone, I'll be thinking of a new one. Supercharger Whine. Loud or quiet? And how to achieve chosen result? I'm not sound engineer, but I have a brain and use it. I think the outlet pipe from the 2TZ-FZE is designed for quiet, it's in a minivan after all... It has a muffler, maybe 3½ inches diameter, and pipes go in
  3. I don't have a problem here, but a ps one... The probably sent all the non ps to australia...
  4. Might be just the pedal's free play, no play in the master.
  5. Non-power steering rack? No complaints about mine and plenty of room in the bay...
  6. If the cap's open and it's cold out, it might not come on. Just as long as it works when the system is pressurised. (Cap on)
  7. I'd say check the contacts at the sensor. Mine was always showing different readings before my swap, I reused the old sensor, same harness, and now it's always spot on. just moving it around, disconecting and reconecting fixed it.
  8. The 5E made its first victim yesterday. Ford Fiesta. He was rolling towards the light I was stopped at when it turned green, I made it to the 70k limit before him even with his rolling start, then let go. He caught up and pushed it, I down shifted the 3rd and was right back ahead. Pulled up to turn right where I was going, he looked pissed as he drove by I also probably used half as much petrol as he did. win-win!
  9. I got the aerial out, I had to start at the radio, disconect it and push it out section by section until I reached the side panel, then I was able to pull it out from outside, 3 clips securing it under the dash. As for the boot connector, the one inside the lid is the only one between the plate lights and the dash, headlining removed no connector in sight...
  10. Sorry I missed that question... It's the OEM tensioner for air con belt on non-power steering models. Do you need one? I have 2... To what I was here for, I didn't touch the SC14 this weekend, I went to the motorplex Saturday and worked on the body today before my weekly nap (I must be getting old taking naps every week...). I kept working on the passenger lock delete and the boot, I can still see where the "LIFE" sticker was, even after a couple of sanding/priming sessions... I'll probably need to bog it up, I found a low spot on the upper left of the plate surround and the lock hole
  11. I was wondering if there's supposed to be any adjustment bump-ons on the bootlid? As I was sanding/priming it, I noticed it should go right a little, and be raised (or pushed out) a fair bit as it sits lower than my tail lights. It looks like there could be one there:
  12. Nice! I was wondering if I had anyone around. I'm in Rockingham. Got an EP over here?
  13. yeah it's the one. You'd still need some fabrication on this. flipping the alternator bracket might do, but I doubt it would be that easy... and that idler, gettint the pulleys to line up properly is already a challenge in itself, on this setup it's 3 pulley in non-OEM locations...
  14. 4E-FTE??? You're twincharging? I think I saw a picture of a rear mount SC, I think SC was low, Alt was further back and higher... Not sure though, it's been a while. What car was the SC12 in? MR2? if so, here's yours (in/out gasket not on pic, but part# are 17857-16010 and 17858-16010): On another note, I'm trying to remove the aerial from the Starlet, I can't pull it out directly, and can't find where the cable enters the cab to disconnect it. I can pull it about 2-3 inches tops, then it blocks... And also wondering how to remove the filler neck pipe from
  15. Brought the charger home for the weekend. I just couldn't leave it at work... with a few tools and this, I might get busy, or not. Still not sure what the weekend plan is. Also made a list of parts to order, mainly gaskets and the proper mounting bolts/nuts....
  16. I passed a 600hp vehicle with ease in my N/A. These road trains are impressive, but not that quick...
  17. Internal, and I believe the redline on the clocks was at 7.2-7.5K I couldn't drive the car as one wheel had 45° toe out
  18. I dont know for sure. They came with the FTE dished pistons I bough on here for the 5E...
  19. What are you putting it on? 5E?
  20. accepting offers or trades...
  21. If you use it on an engine turning clockwise, like our 4E/5E engines, the outlet will be on your left side when you face the pulley. You can use a non-impact drill on the pulley nut to spin it and feel the air rushing out. From the dipstick, I guess yours was mounted on the rear side of the engine, do you know which engine it was? I have a table I made to guestimate SC14 boost ratios with different pulley sizes on my 5E, I could probably adapt it for your application if you want... and if you want pulleys, look for A/C pulleys, I have the 5E's on mine, (146mm/10.5Psi) and I have a spare pu
  22. I've been looking into a conversion too, but lost interest when I saw the ratios. The 6-speeds have a 6th gear ratio of 0.725, except the C64 at 0.815... 5th gear for Starlet GT, Tercel, Sera are 0.725, Glanza, N/A and Paseo 0.815. So it's basically adding a step for the same result, as the final drives are also very similar... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_C_transmission
  23. Using the aforementioned mesurements, I made a side cut diagram to scale. Pardon my paint skills, I know they're just too good So I guess the outlet won't be crossing over on top, but will dive underneath the supercharger... That inlet pipe is looking shorter everytime I mesure something... It would be somewhere between 12 and 18 inches long...
  24. Mesurements post!!...
