  1. Honestly don't know what to suggest next... I'm stumped. It doesn't makes any sense to me, and I'm pretty much eat-sleep electrics... *Edit: Unless, just got a flash, your 3rd brake light is reverse polarity? The bulb is like this one? Check the socket, one wire going to the middle of the socket should be the +. It'd be a green/red wire, red I think, and the wire on the outside should be the earth, white/black stripe, for it to work properly. If the white/black is in the middle try inverting the wires.
  2. Thing is the master cylinder is set up differently for disc or drums. If you fit drum axle on a Glanza you'll probably end up with too much braking power in the rear just like discs don't get enough on a drum equipped car... I don't really have bad comments about the brake performance itself (locked all 4 when a biker fell in front of me in a roundabout, the rear locked right after the front), but my biggest complaint is the handbrake, it's by far weaker than before. not holding as much, and if I try to adjust more I'll have pressure on the pads even when the e-brake's off. And forget about ha
  3. Love an S bonnet... beautiful car, inside and out
  4. Like he said^^^ Piece of piss (as we say down here)... 2 brake lines, 5 blots/nuts, out, in, 5 bolts/nuts, 2 brake lines, bleed brakes, enjoy poor handbrake.
  5. LEDs don't work either side they're on, but normal globes do? This is a serious case of WTF... Did you try the LEDs somewhere else, front light or...?
  6. Well I have 2 EPs and 3 engines, but none FTE, and not able to sell my old 4E just yet, I'm using it to make my brackets... Once the good one is painted, I'll brobably break the beater. The boot is in good condition I think (I'll take another look today) if you want to swap the glanza's... Nice to find someone local
  7. Welcome! I see the WA plate, where are you? I'm in Rockingham. P.S. If you're to bin the skirts, I'd take them...
  8. I did a few cuts, the whole thing is not missing but the part where the plate bolts to is. Why?
  9. Thanks Chris. Hopefully I'll have the leak sorted Saturday. Depends on the parts getting here Friday. Most of the are available in Perth, but the oil pum seal is from Sydney, and the rear main is from the motherland. I didn't plan on doing the rear main this weekend anyway, but the pump seal is worrying, as I know one of the two down there is busted, but I don't know which one it is. Mist cloud coming off the lower cover, with top cover removed, anyone can guess? Crank or pump? Also received a package from the step-motherland, thanks id-workz, I now have all I need for my eyes upgrade... Exc
  10. Red gets pretty beat up in the sun, fade is incredibly bad on them... Lol joke aside, I plan to paint mine KIA's moonlight blue. Had the original paint before, it looks awesome. Gran Turismo 5 was also kind enough to give me a preview.
  11. imo you can't really get anything longer than OEM without it poking out on the panels... And smaller will obviously not clear as much. I'd stick with the standard size.
  12. I'll be using a bog standard BOV. My pulley is set for 10.5 psi, I set the bov to 12. Not sure if it worth recirculating though. And I still have the N/A-S/C mode switch in the back of my head, Kind of like the Interceptor in Mad Max. If/when I do it I'll fit an electric exhaust bypass in the piping
  13. Removed the top cover, even if it's clear I could not see through it with the oil film on both sides of it... Started the engine. I couldn't see the source of the leak, but a mist was coming out from the lower cover... I won't put it on the hoist until my seal order arrives, so won't know for sure wich one busted. I'm putting my money on the front main, I ordered it all anyway, bung, cam, front and rear mains, oil pump seal and o-ring + rocker cover gasket. I had an occasional drop on both ends of the engine before, nothing worrying and I planned to swap sumps for the 5E's when I was to fit
  14. My uncle had a Tercel back in Canada, I can't remember which, but it was 4E or 5E. He sold it with over 400,000km on the clock, only because the body wouldn't go through another salty winter. The buyer fixed the body and kept driving it for a year or two before we stopped hearing from him.
  15. A-W-E-S-O-M-E build! So clean, so new! one question, is the R34 converted LHD as well?

  17. Nope not good. Glad I picked it before the oil light turned on tho. Exterior... Lots of smoothing, passenger & boot locks gone, aerial off, side repeaters & moldings to go, Carat lights chrome ring off... Waiting for a few more parts for a major headlight upgrade, working on a fog equipped front bumper, plans for a rear bumper as well, then paint. Kia's "Moonlight Blue" (thank you Gran Turismo for the preview )
  18. Glad you're both okay, and the idiot is in. Shame tho your car was clean...
  19. Well, my car is still at work while I'm at home. On a Friday night... I brought it in after work to check the tyre pressures, found my RHF matte wheel to be... Shiny??? I popped the bonnet and saw oil e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. Timing side, top of the cover is dry, but going down on the side of it it gets wetter and wetter. Oil on the engine mount, oil down the block, oil on the frame... New, Genuine bung, cam seal and crank seal to be ordered Monday morning ASAP. I didn't need to reopen the timing case now, especially with my crushed finger damn it!... On the other hand, I'm back in the beater,
  20. Camber bolts can be pruchased, and toe in/out is adjustable on every car's front wheels at least. I aligned mine when I got my latest Yellow sticker (Aus version of MOT, but distibuted by coppers). I'd check the angle of the steering on full lock on both sides, it's a good way to tell if the steering is off or not. If the angle is the same (mirror) then don't touch it and adjust at the wheels.

  22. Here's a challenge that is available in both games. Car: Glanza V Track: Laguna Seca Laps:12 Tyres restriction: SPORT SOFT Electronic aids: ALL OFF Fuel/tyre depletion: Off Grip reduction: Real Power limit: NONE Post your screenshots of the race line up and results, A picture of the screen is perfectly fine. I cannot participate, I smashed my finger, not pretty, black and all swollen... Can't hold the remote, not for a race like that.
  23. Done (40) Why is it that the worst cars on the page get the most votes????
  24. I can hardly see the stat being in the wrong way, the shape of the housing is pretty much fool proof... From what you say I think your stat is not opening. But try to re-bleed the system first, if you can, bleed it with the front end jacked up as high as you dare.
