shouldnt hit fuel cut if it's standard apart from a cold air intake. Fuel cut is a violent jerking action Bridge the diagnostics terminals and see what code it throws up for the engine management light. Could be those 2 wires coming loose either

Cheers lads

And just to confirm I could go buy a kit advertised as TD04 fitment and it will fit it ? Same with Intercooler ?
-
My thoughts exactly
-
Yeah it said they were for a Mitsubishi Outlander or something. I'll have a look on scooby forums and see is there one on there.
-
I personally wouldn't. Cold, rattly and not very cosy. Only way to make an n/a (starlet) go fast is with proper suspension, good brakes and keep the revs above 4000 with your foot flat to the floor
-
Yeah the ad says it's a 27 secondary turbo. Only reason I thought it would be suitable is because another guy was looking to swap out his tf035 for a vf27 Off of a forester S I beleive
-
Have seen there's a VF27 turbo for sale near me, just wondering if anyone had experience of one ? I think they're in between a TD04 and a tf035 size wise. Also there doesn't seem to be many tf035's for sale unless they're China wank

Thanks for the info Colin, big help as usual. Would this give a nice constant powerband to the redline do you know ?
-
I agree it would be good to mix it up a bit hence I'm trying not to go TD series but most wouldn't be able to afford custom exhaust work to match turbo X to engine Y
-
Thanks for the input guys. I've looked previously at TD04 kits as I was going to do that anyway but I'll have to look at off the shelf kits for the tfo series if they exist ?(just found out it's essentially a small TD04, same footprint) Also does anyone have rough figures for torque on these turbos ? 4E block

Hi guys, originally I was going to go standard ct9 with my car but now I've decided to go bigger turbo with management and maybe forge. I'm just looking to see what people would think is the best all round turbo, TD, VF, TF and so on. If I stay standard internals if be looking at 220-230, forged 280-300 And input/opinions/previous experience is welcomed. Thanks in advance -Joe

these are the OEM optional extras https://www.google.ie/url?sa=i&source=web&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiegtfTsNXOAhWKORQKHS0vDmMQjhwIBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ukstarletowners.com%2Fpage%2Farticles.html%2F_%2Foptional-extra-s%2Fthe-optional-extras-wiki-interior-r36&psig=AFQjCNGRGUGvh-bBm_Z_bwftRjzCSRnN2w&ust=1471967543113385

4efe is the same mate. Local scrap yard should have one
-
Think I have one here off my donor engine in Ireland if you're stuck. Will check for you

SOLD
-
There's someone supposed to be collecting it off of another site but I'll let you know how it goes
-
Bump
-
Why not ? Thinking about it now id imagine it's because a corolla manifold won't be letting in the same amount of air as a ct9 at standard boost
-
The puns are running out now, getting quite diff-icult
