  1. ok ok..i originaly wanted an external wastegate, asi totaly agree about the noise they make.. but as i have the HKS actuator and internal wastegate on a GT spec hybrid, i just wondered would it be cheaper and get similar effects with just a screamer pipe. theres a gt 5 round here and it has one, sounds complete wank, but there is also a civic turbo conversion with an internal wastegate and a screamer and it sounds decent. ok so exactly what is needed to get an external waste set up, and what price am i lookin at for it all roughly? will it be ok to do it on a ct9 hybrid or is it not worth i
  2. hi all.. anyone on here run a screamer on there GT/Glanza? realy like the sound of an ext wastegate, but as im not realy running enought boost to warant on, and the wastegate on my hybrid is all ready ported to a large size there is no need. but still after that noise they make.. so , if anyone has one, does it sound similar to one? or did it sound different to what you had hoped for? even beter, anyone got any vids of theres. can only see 2 on youtube lol. sorry if this is wrong section, no idea where this would go. Jay
  3. L O L please tell me ure jokin about the cheating bit lol... folks like that make me so angry like you wouldnt believe! i was getting filled with rage reading that lol until the end of corse! Jay
  4. lol yeah no worries. but just to let you know, im workin on an induction kit that i will be producing very soon and selling on here, thats not been done for the starlet at all.. so if your interested then just hold fire. should be ready for production soon.. havnt mentioned this yet its all been kept Jay
  5. well im not running aircon, so when i strip the loom down, if you reckon its AC it will go! didnt think it would be that important to be honest.
  6. lol cheers dude, and dont i know it! i got em ages ago from Exhausts UK, they still do em. but i have a magazine here for kit car builders with them in as well.. so if you want a gander let me know marra
  7. cheers mate aii cannot wait to get this done now.. takin the piss lol
  8. Hi all. was busy at it again yesterday. managed to nail a few things off the list! we focused on the lights, and it took much longer than we originaly thought it would. the light control stalk has a circ board in it, and obv with no diagram we had to work out what it did, in order to control the lights correctly. this took a while, was just such a pain in the arse.. so didnt get anything else started anyway.. all the lights on the outside of the car.. Headlights/side lights/ indicators/ brake lights/ spoiler brake light/ number plate lights are now working off the control stalk.
  9. its not causing any problems like, but just want to know if its vital, or is it just for like outside temperature on the gt?
  10. you should have the ones on the wings, the ones underneath the front, and then the grill its self fastens to the slam panel. cable ties will do
  11. im not entirely sure what it is as standard. im pretty muck making a loom for mine, and we have put the feed on ignition.. but goes through a switch first. so turn ignition on, then fuel pump. then start engine. the loom for it runs over the centre tunel on the chassis, i think from memory its the blue wire, but cnt be sure without going out and checking. that needs a live feed to it, and ure away. but make sure its from an ignition live, not permanent or it will keep running when you turn everything off, and kill you battery. Jay
  12. cheers guys! yeah not much realy.. its just finding the time to do it. should have the wipers and head lights done by the end of this weekend. mite make a start on striping extra stuff. taking it one step at a time im affraid. wanna get this done asap, im gunna miss all the years ... "decent" weather at this rate! will try get some pics up soon Jay
  13. LOL yeah you shud of seen me, i looked a rite cunt! cud hardly see out the fuckin windows lol, looked like a 12 year old asbo rat! hense not going above 20!! was rockin all over the place on it! gota be done though.. when needs must
  14. Made some headway into wiring up the headlights. gota make a small new loom, using NA stuff, to transfer the light to the other unit, as the GT one for some reason only as one connector?! just nice to see some lights flashing and stuff, makes it look like its alive again! My battery is dead however. i leave it on trickle charger all the time when not in use, but for some reason its proper dead and the charger seems to think its fairly well charged. so gota get a new battery now Couldnt resist it though, put a tool box in to act as a seat, and took it for a little spin around my block :D I
  15. not helping the guy lol. serious mate, an aftermarket fuel pump, and an emanage blue. just do it mate, it will be worth it. i would rather pay the few extra pennies to have peice of mind.and uve got the flexibility to add other stuff on at a later stage, and just tweak the map slightly to suit. my emanage blue cost me £350 for the ECU, all the harness gear needed to run it, 3 bar map sensor, the cd tool to map it, and then mapping will be £170 and they set up actuator and boost controller and make sure its running mint before it comes off the rolling road ( providing they kn
  16. Did you know that the corrola inlet manifold is worse than standard on N/A starlets? you would be better off with a normal one. but ure in look, i just so happen to have a normal inlet manifold here, would you like to swap it ?! lol seriously though, welcome to UKSC, looks like a good little starter there, and look foward to seeing its progress! White starlets FTW
  17. there are some, complete and utter tits about nowadays. this NOOB for example: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...rosecution.html JESUS H...
  18. your actuator is set at .5 bar........ therfore you are boosting at .5bar.... ure wastegate opens at .5 bar that youve set it to, so if you want anything higher than that, its got to open later... if ure aiming to .8 then set it to that, or maybe 1 bar. this way ure boost controller will activate it when it needs it. i think
  19. UKSC TILL I DIE no realy though, dont like TGTT realy, i never use it. im a member and all ( not a payed one though ) and just think that UKSC is a shite loads better in every way. people seem better on here, i know the vast majority are on there as well, but this just seems more of a light hearted and jolly club. best ive been a member of anyway. Jay
  20. im doing mine now as well fuel pump... check you have a live feed to it, or it wont wind up. exhaust hangers.. easy to fix, take it to an exhaust place when its sorted, or get a welder to come out to you and sort it out. rest of the problems you just need to keep an eye out on the forums, post up in wanted sections, and try all the jap breakers. good luck with it dude
  21. well there is no point in gettin the aftermarket actuator and boost controller if ure guna go for stock levels, because without fueling mods, some way of removing fuel cut.. i realy would avoid it. wen it comes down to uping the boost, its all or nothing to get a good stable safe boost level im afraid. you just gota choose whether to bite the bullet or not! but if ure interested, i have an EBC for sale, with a hi lo boost switch so you can revert to stock boost levels to keep ure engine safe when not giving it a poke! let me know if your interested. £95 delivered and its new. Jay
  22. this is possibly my favourite glanza ive seen! perfect in so many ways! and they are some real sweet pics as well dude. bet ure well happy with the buy! keep it clean buddy, cant be any other way!
  23. wow... hat off to ya mate, looks truely awesome! muchos respect to the diy build as well.. what power you aiming for? Jay
  24. im attempting to break the 200bp mark with my build ive got going on. but for 180 safe: -definatly a mani back exhaust.. standard mani is bad for number 3 piston, when uping boost. so decat/oversized pipe ect... -after market actuator, as the standard one cannot be tuned -ported wastegate as you will get creep with the stock ct9 -a boost controller, a manual will do the job fine, and are cheep enough. -at least an uprated fuel pump -front mounted filter, and intercooler -most importantly, managment. from a straight aftermarket plug and play ecu like a JAM or a blitz etc.. or the safer option
