What The Hell Is Up With Uksc Jolly Old Chaps
shorty replied to iamlegend's topic in Lifestyle General
Well read this thread the pther day and though haha tbh as i had no issues, however today have had error messages and im lossing Loads of smiles, avatars and pictures when the page finaly loads! Its driving mad as uksc is my new addiction! Even more so tha tgtt was! -
i also order from them alot, the down side is shipping is based on a size and weight scale, so can get silly expensive, and remember its the box the base that on not the item also customs are bastards and stop 99.9% of items so you get hit by 27.5% ontop (import tax 10% + vat 17.5%) so please plase be aware lads as stuff seems a bargin then you end up stung all that aside the service is unreal, they are very very good to deal with

well i know a wicked spot in newforrest but thats prob too far for alot of people, and its the middle of no where lol just a huge concrete square to the side of a random carpark for dog walkers if we met there though every one would have to behave as there is alot of complaints from dogwalkers of people drifting there, wonder who that could be??.........any ideas ollie lol the pub from last time sounds best, unless anyone knows a nice spot?
-
not so keen on portsdown hill tbh, is boyracer heaven!! and gets very full very quickly up there @amjad: im about 10mins up the road from southampton city mate if you want a lift up there, you can prob get shotgun too as the mrs hates car meets and my mate wants to take his mx5 so plenty of spare room in the beast
-

i have tein HA's that are set quite low, and tbh when i didnt have the panhard rod the car felt like it crabed and I've you breaked hard from high speeds then it felt very twitchy almost like it wanted to bring the arse round, i think its not a matter of yes/no it willdepend on ride hight and setup of the car, but im with rory tbh, if you lower the car the rear alignment is out a fact we all agree on, the best thing is to fit a panhard rod, is like any other form of modding, you can mod the car anyway you want but not all mods will make a noticable difference but will compliment others, uprated ht leads are a perfect example lots of us have them but has anyone noticed an instant difference? yet its one of the things "you do" when modding the engine and chasing more power

any sugestions on a meeting point? get involved guys n girls as ollie said this may be the last chance before winter sets in one last big meet would be awesome!!
-
does it have a brake bias control under the car for front/rear balance? could be on its way out. mine went last month on my caddy van, very simlar symtoms, then wen it finly went completly it shit fluid everywhere
-

Im sorry if i offended dean and no my comment about tge uninsuerd was not aimed at you it was a genral comment, i have clearly missread your post as it seemed like you where saying it didnt matter if he did or didnt bother to declare, again im sorry as after re reading your post that is clearly not what you meant. You wernt being a dick and you do not need to justifiey your self to me. But i appreciate the sensible response mate
-
try tett hamilton josh, they are very good genraly but picky who they insure
-
great advice mate hes not mad atal, if you cant get the mods covered go elsewhere and cover them right, advicing people to keep undecared mods is not a smart move!! what is wrong with some people who feel is ok to just not declare stuff! people who arnt properly insured then have an accident are the reason the bloody premiums are high in the firstplace!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
thank you, its taken a long time to get to that glad its helped bud, i used to just sit down with a bundle of jap mags and do the rounds, then go back and make them compete against the best quote, takes a fair while to do but is a good sense of relief when its done, and then just sit back and renew each year or you just do the same next year if you dont likee the renewal quote, but always give the old insurer a chance to beat the best quote each year is worth it in the end
