-
Ah stop it man, been staring at mine for a month all dirty and sad looking i miss her sooooo much!! Hate winter and not having a garage to do the work in ;)
-
Ill be there steve so you dont need to worry about that ;)

Get some lego on the go then!! That dyno looked pap, build a better one, like a proper tunning bay, should be you challenge why your off work!
-
Never realy saw what the fuss is about on vtec, its like a crazy camed turbo without the turbo lol lazy at lower rpm n then an anticlimax at high rpm. Starlet eats them no bother, for hadaling I've got 3point front and rear struts, rear cage, coilovers, fully polybushed, panhard rod, lsd, 15" alloys and a great set of tyres. Still gotta fit rear arb, antilift kit and some lower bars, but it already handles like a monster!!!!!
-
Dude you have way to much time on your hands lol, dyno is naff, engine is clever, guess you didnt play with much lego as a kid. but if that impresses you check out the members rides section where some of us build real engins lol.

Yea not ideal wet weather tyre lol take it easy in the wet bud they understeer easy if you enter a bend to quick but they rock in the dry!!!!! I love em, used to run my race tuned 130hp mini on them all year round. And get some batterys asap neeeeed better pics, your s is lookin nice, need to meet up as soon as the v is on the road again.
-
Lol its gonna be more resposive because of the yoko a048's on the front mainly, they are a shit hot tyre and waaaaaaaay better than shitty r888's the 16 to 15 inch will make it feel sharper but it mostly those awesome tyres!! Got a pair for mine but waiting on dryer weather, keep an eye on em dan, they wear uber quick and cost around 160 a tyre for 15" so try not to spin em up to much. Looks sexy as on the new rims advans = WIN

Side exit exhausts - MOT and emmissions
shorty replied to snails ep91's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
and idle test only on jdm cars year is regurdless so long as there is no uk production spec equivalent i.e 1.3turbo uk ep91 wich as we all know there never was. can read it all on line, is dull but good to arm yourself icase tester is a twat, another one for you is you dont need the wing mount indicators so long as its using glanza front indicators due to the bulge in the lense making it visable from 1.5m of the line of the rear bumper but again only on jdm -
Side exit exhausts - MOT and emmissions
shorty replied to snails ep91's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
2 years worth of mot's with a front exit, third one coming in feb as above ask nicley and see what happens, i favour pug 307 lovley low emissions on them -
thats normal si, shouldnt go below 1.5 on idle when fully warm and should raise to no more than 6 on full whack when warmed up to temp
-
drop me a txt matt, are the front lights and indicators available dude? iirc yours are not cloudy like mine
-
Bit pricey tbh, but if you after a non molested v its good i guess.
-
JE pistons are some of the best available, i used them in over bored mini engines and i currently run them in my forged 4e, they are expensive but have been around years and are very very good pistons. Quite expensive compared to most but quality is second to none!

Swap back to the old pump as thats the last thing you did, if you need a dizzy bud I've got a dizzy i can send you, but is unlikley to be that as you get more of an ignition cut/kangaroo type effect with dizzy failer. Sounds like its over fueling and flooding the chamber if its cuting out when the clutch goes in, when did it star was it when tge weather turned realy cold? What ecu are you using bud? Sounds more and more like the symtoms my mates mx5 is suffering atm, we are still diagnosing it but thats what we have come down to. How does it start too? Start first time or struggles? Also mate

Clean all earths and earth points, one on gearbox, alternator, inlet mani and top engine mount and one by the battery, bad earth will cuase havoc, do a diagnostic check on it too, theres a guide on tgtt in the helpful section on how to do manual diagnostics. If no joy, check the alternator charges properly and isnt on its way out, also the map sensor, is ulikly throtle position but is worth checking. Try checking injectors too, again unlikley but worth a shot. The diagnostic check will shine a lot more light on it, cant belive you are contemplating breaking without even realy digging deep!! Ke
