  1. looking god bud, loving the progress
  2. cool no probs, just didn't want you to be disappointed if you opened the head at any point. like i said before is an awesome result tbh,
  3. you would need to speak to sumo power bud, phone them and ask to talk to dan in the workshop he has it all sat there guessing around a couple of hundred pound judging by what dan has said to me on the phone, valves are oversized and cams are cruise 265's it should flow like a whore its just not needed now as i got a different head whith speedvision batch 1's and cruise springs while i was waiting and tbh they will do fine for mine to make 300ish. the only preson i know off that can do 272's is dave B and he is unable to do cams till around january will meet up with you and ollie next time and
  4. kara sorry to piss on your fire hun but you dont have the cruise valves and 265cams as i have his old forged lump sat in bits in my lounge (will send you pics if you like) and have just put the head with the springs and cams on my V, sorry just dont want you to be miss lead by what ollie told you. nick at td will confirm this if you ask him as he rebuilt the oem engine that is in your V. still a very good result though and a very tidy motor.
  5. I've still got the cruise cams, yaris solid buckets, 4age bigger valves and the spare 4efte head. if you want to maximise cylinder head flow there all sat at sumo power collecting dust bud a simlar spec head to the one i was gonna have built was up for sale for a tad over 2k recently so buyin my gear and havin sumo or jd modified build it will be a bargin bud.
  6. Fuck me dude!! I've never looked through your build, AWESOME! Love the attention to detail, also have big respect for people that diy the whole build, the v is the same as your gt, sooo many parts changed, upgraded and renewed. So glad you have seen he through mate! Total minter!!
  7. sad times, keep in touch dude
  8. sounds like a big run of bad luck dude, and yes your being moody, chin up. shit happens, starlets rock! rwd is for people who cant corner properly! hence severe oversteer (they call it driffting) under steer takes talent to control, FWD FTW!!!!
  9. you bastard, lol didnt see the bottom part at first lmao. stick with it bud, the downs make the ups even better and the starlet is a giant killer! my mate has s13 runnin 1bar and other mate has mx5 waiting to be turbo'ed, and you know who the fastest of the three of us is
  10. your a pussy sparky sell up! I've just rebuilt my whole forged engine thinking i had a major issue to discover it was hg overlap that lifted the head, now I've fiered it up after refitting it all and i have a huge oil leak from around the pump so now need to strip all the timing side back off, all being done on a downhill garden so cant even jack her up! I've done everything on the car myself with a couple of mates and in 2years have had the engine in and out twice and modded the crap out of what was a standard V. your not hard core enough! sell up!! (crosses fingers and hopes he inspired h
  11. thought you where selling up? glad you seem to have had a turn round mate i was looking at the acis inlet mani too, the gains anygood then? what happened when you where at td? map no good in the end?

  13. bumping it up, for all thoese who have yet to notice, any time from 6pm guys ill be there by 7 as i gotta wait for my mate to finish work. see you all there
  14. Also my be worth getting the timing checked by some one with a timing gun as the dizzy can drasticaly alter the timing so is important to check that properly dont just guess however that said the car can be driven to a garage etc to be checked, it wont blow up if the dizzy is out
  15. As above bud, to get tdc whip the spark plug out, and i normal put a bar down the spark hole and sit it on the piston, then crank the engine by hand with a 19mm rachet on the crank pully till the bar is at its highest (tdc) then line the timing mark on the crank to the arrow on the cambelt cover, just above the crank pully. Next install the cams making sure the three dots on the inside of the cam gears run in a straight line (horizontaly) this should also put the 4e hole on the cam belt gear in line with the notch on the cam cap closest to the gear, and ta da all timied in, pop the belt back o
