You could drive any car anticipating somthing to go wrong... My 17 year old gt is falling to bits at the moment and my engine and drivetrain has over 100k miles on it running 150 bhp... Yet all i can do is take care of it. Regular fluid changes? Warming/cooling and not over revving- being a cock in it. Dont think about 'what if it goes wrong' otherwise you wont enjoy it. Dont get me wrong, i canr afford a rebuild-time or money. Dont stress ive realised this and im defo keeping mine for a while now. Mitch

That would be more than enough for rwd. I want rwd. Thats the biggest factor over power and weight. Dont want the CA engine. Need reliability. Mitch

Dont feel bad mate. Spoke to mike yesterday about the alignment and he reckons you should adjust camber at the hubs and not the top mounts.. To initialy get them symetrical. Which is what i was trying to do prior to coming yours. Im still unsure what to do, i change my mind hourly and i swear im going insane. I want to finish what i started but i want rwd for sure. And im able to do so. Il see how this sunday goes at the notts meet. See if people can sway me. Mitch

I know. and what really rubs it in is the fact they were 50quid cheaper then... Engines covered over 100k and is making 150bhp. Its running sweet.touch wood.. Its just a massive ball ache because i use it daily and it handles crap. My suspension is rock hard atm because of rubbing issues, i cant higher it becuase one of the rears is seized and oh yeh.... i lost the locking nut for my wheels aaaahhhhh! Mitch

The car isnt the bitch. Everything thats gone wrong has been down to me. Its either going to go well... or bad. What i mean is, i could spend all that money and be pleasently suprised by it... Or i could spend all that money and it be total shit and then the bottom end goes or somthing. I can even corner in this. Its like trying to tame a bull on steroids in a corner. shit. The only way out of that would be to buy new suspension... 600quid meisters. alot of moneys Help. Need more advice.. Mitch

Right am i being a mardy little fagget or am i being reasonably sensible? The GT's suspension has being pissing me off for a long time now, 3-4 months. Long story short this suspension is a bastard to get set up correctly. So ive spent a small fortune on tracking and its still not right. When your driving it everyday it gets right on your tits because the car handles like a fucking trolly with a wheel missing. So i thought sod this... il get different suspension.. saw second hand buddy clubs for sale.. Bingo. Was i wrong or what. 400quid lighter and i get delivered used and abused suspens

Think im swinging the same way dude, rwd ftw. Anything above a good 200 lb ft 200 bhp starlet becomes whack imo. Im talking about round short tight county lanes not qtr miles etc. I just cba with mine anymore... Wanted a gt for 2 years... Had it for 4 months... Meh. Mitch

Hell yeah, lost the passion to spend money on gt. Wana do some skids and crash a lot. So keep a look out in the for sale section people breaking some parts. Mitch
