  2. Volvo's are ace. My mate had an 850R, manual saloon, very quick and sound awesome even with the stock exhaust. I really want a volvo 240 GT
  3. the uk mr2's have the 3sge engine (2.0l) some of the early imports have a 3sfe engine, still a 2.0l but only around 138bhp ish the seller is obviously on something tbh great first car for a young driver?? yeah if you don't like them very much and want to see them wrapped around tree then maybe it is
  4. Ive driven an evo 8 fq 300 something or other and a uk wrx '04 plate scooby and neither seemed that special tbh. don't get me wrong they are both very good cars, im not denying that but they both seemed a bit uninspiring for want of a better word. An st205 will hold its own against the equivilant evo/scooby. If we are talking about a st185 then yes, a Starlet is just as quick in a straight line plus everyman and his dog has an impreza. suppose everyone has there preffered choices
  5. best put an MGF on your list aswell then
  6. my ep82 had 28k miles when I bought it in April 2005 sold it september 2007 with about 60k miles ish on it. current car had 82k miles when i bought it in December 2007 now has about 93k miles on it. Petrol was alot cheaper when I had my Starlet
  7. Yeah its just very amusing, should have asked him for a race really
  8. I can make me own stickers....its my job No I didn't want to take the Celica or any other car tbh, I thought it would be rather amusing to turn up in a tank actually Not sure if Id be able to hire one for the day though
  9. mate had a 150bhp A3 Turbo took it to Jabba Sport and it came back with 237bhp. exhaust, manifold, sports cat, filter and remap. Then he bought an S3 225bhp took that to the same place and with just exhaust and remap came back with 270bhp. Quick, reliable cars but just a bit boring imho. Get a GT4 as suggested
  10. Thanks for all the kind words guys Ive already decided on my method of transport to the church, but I think she wants the wedding at a church whcih is down a narrow street which may scupper my plans No date set as yet mate, probs be a year or 2

  14. Just got back from a shopping expedition in Lincoln and there was a mini MG/Rover meet just outside the Waterside shopping centre, only about 6 or 7 cars. Was a nice looking Midget race car thing there as well as some other classics and also some MGTF's. My god what a strange/boring bunch of people they were!! A quick conversation with one of them resulted in this: Was just having a quick look round a new shape TF and the owner comes striding up saying, MG owner: "bet you want to buy one of these now?" Me: "ermmm, no actually mate" MG owner: "well you should do as its a British car and th
  15. Look more like the tail lights on the number 37 bus to me
  16. fit it, drive with it and then reset the ecu by puling the efi fuse for 30 seconds or by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. blitz ecus also improves fuel consumption
  17. I noticed it when I first joined up, which was a looooong time ago and never did post up to ask why ;)
  18. the only way to learn the track is to drive round it yourself, passenger rides will give you a small idea of where everything is. Start off slowly and build up gradually, drive to your limits, Ive done a couple of track days in my car and I know that its alot better than I am so I drive to what im capable of. No one will take the piss out of for going slower than them as they'll be too busy concentrating on what there doing.
  19. Clio 1.8 rsi thing AX Gti MR2 MX5 106 Gti/Saxo vts Almera Gti Id go for an MR2 if it were me.
  20. Really?!?! Were you on the OC mate? Heres the graphs at last Flywheel power and torque Flywheel power and AFR
  21. Spotted 2 Glanzas today in virtually the same place!! First was a silver one with TRD sunstrip and a loud exhaust parking up at Morrisons carpark in Lincoln today about 12:30pm ish. Couldn't se the reg from where I was standing!! Second one was at the traffic lights turning on to Tritton road from Morrisons, I was n the Grande Punto that decided to swap lanes at the lights and pull in behind you. Was another silver one P reg and looked completely standard
  22. I don't have any videos of the 13.1 1/4 mile unfortunately, that was my first run of the day aswell No idea what I ran in the video I posted, probably a high to mid 13 Not sure what boost you can run with a Blitz ecu as it removes the fuel cut, stock turbo will handle around 1.3 bar but the injectors will be maxed out so that will be the limiting factor. I run mine at 1.1 bar as its considered the safe limit. My Blitz ecu is actually an MR2 one, just had to bridge the chargecooler pump relay. They come up on ebay every now and again, normally go for around £500 but there is a fuel
  23. What about a beams gen6?? quite rare and with 200bhp n/a, gets the superstrut suspension and lsd. Look very smart too.
