yep to an extent. -
how do you get this chatter sound

looks like a gen 1, if it's got a screw at the back then it's adjustable -

just to add to pav's comment only the old hks bovs can be adjusted, as i think you have a 2nd gen hks bov iamlegend? Edit: also if you dont run a bov under high boost you will still get a kinda bov dump sounds as the air is being forced through the turbo find more you tend to get the flutter on slightly lower boost levels or not full throttle -
sounds like the actuator isnt opening the wastgate so you have unlimited boost. was the actuator new? double check the pipe maybe take it off and put back on making sure it isnt loose. do you have a c or r clip holding the arm onto the turbo?

haha almost as big as mine lmao! ...if only

Safest, cheapest way to around 200bhp?!
Glanza_cl replied to benep91's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
people tend to run super rich in that set up and potentially can loose power by running to rich i just said a safc as if needed you can trim down the fuel level...but as stated isn't 100%needed just gives you more options for adjustability imo if you want a super 'safe' map just get an emanage or uni chip -
Wait a minute...... HAha looks tidy mate i think black and white works well Nice one.

cant really imagine there is much between them a rarb is a rarb they all do the same job. I have a fixed whiteline rarb and it does a lovely job. get which ever is the easiest to get a hold of, if you don't like it you can always change.

yeah if the fueling is ok i would expect around 150-160bhp -

Glanza_cl replied to benep91's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
200bhp is not cheap! i'm trying to reach it and have spent a bomb! it can be done quite cheap, you would need: Hybrid FMIC manifold decat exhaust fcd rrfpr SAFC uprated fuel pump " clutch that might reach 200 at a push, but that's without engine going wrong other car costs, maintenance blah blah blah if you can source all second hand then that would cost to much but that would not be a very nice car to drive, uprated leads, clutch, good service, short shifter, alloys, suspension, brakes are what makes a car nice to drive. but that list would give good power none the less -
Easy...go stamp on the brakes and see what happens lol, if you lock and skid no abs if you judder and it try's not to lock abs

all depends how you connect the catch can if you just have the rocker breather going to it and then another pipe venting then it will do bugger all apart from look good in the engine bay. ideally you wanna run both the rocker breather and the pcv valve into the catch can and vent it that way. or even better do as above but also have a tube running back into the air intake as it's good to have a small amount of oil going back in.

wow! how the f@ck do they do that?

the animated jap cartoons are the best, if the movie was a bit closer to the storyline... a bit of the old special effect super saiyan thing that would be cool but it isnt
-
No problems mate, lets hope all goes well with it

i do animation so cant help but like a bit of the old DBZ but the film is going to be a pile of shite! it has nothing to do with the DBZ series goku in the film for some reason is human lol and pikalo isn't even green lmao! it will be crap end of...stick with the animated series that's awesome stuff

Manifold cracks, can they cause loss of boost
Glanza_cl replied to Pav's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i got the new mild steal sps mani nd the face isnt quite flat and it's causing a small boost leak so will be getting it skimmed soon. Dane is a top bloke 100% and will deal with whatever problems arise with his products...he is helping me out at the moment Pav just get the mani off and get it temp welded till you no what you wanna do...whether it be upgrade to Danes new ram mani or another mani or perhaps get a more permanent weld put in place. -
there are so many threads on it buddy just do a search...basically you can do either if set up PROPERLY there is nothing wrong with a fcd and rrfpr but there's only so much you can do with a fcd as a ecu you obviously have alot more adjust ability. just have a poke around in the tech section
-
just get a mph converter and that will delimit it and convert from kph to mph
-
cheers mate all will be sorted soon i'm sure LOL black v rule...when they work right JulesB has come to the rescue and we have diagnosed all the problems 1) my cam timing is out by 10degree's...so cam belt off quick twist and back on and my timing will be spot on again 2) my sps mani isnt quite flush so i have a very small boost leak so that will be off and skimmed and that will help towards my crappy boost. once all the above are sorted that should sort out my silly fueling problem and i will be back and boosting like nobody business :surrender:
-
cheers buddy :surrender: little update on the situation the timing isn't as far out as i thought... my ebc wasn't plumed in right so now that's sorted there is a pick up in boost and feels a lot better, the timing i think is still out but hopefully Jules-B will be giving me a hand with that had it on the RR today and got a nasty result it managed a peak power of 125.4hp :drunk2: so overall i'm running under stock power... this is only because my car is over fueling majorly and drowning the engine. those who no AFR's i'm running 10.5afr at just under 5000revs at 0.7 bar! i produced more pow

Manifold cracks, can they cause loss of boost
Glanza_cl replied to Pav's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i would have thought there would be a noticeable loss of power throughout the rev range or not reach peak boost level. or if it's not a huge crack like you said it might only effect the highest rate of flow which would be in the higher revs. -
well mine is well out since the head was off... like so out i have no power and don't have full boost till 5krevs lol, the idle is horrible lol i guess he will have a timing gun, and if the timing is out (which it is) the cams will have to come out and put back in correctly again :surrender: it will be on the RR to check for det and any lean spots in fueling or and sudden peaks once it's all sorted
-
i was thinking more 3.4-5 bar or 14.5 psi but try 3bar and see how it fuels you might find thats fine :surrender: mines going on a RR tommorow to set up my timing and hybrid turbo and check the afr's but i am running under fuel cut still 180 is a good result, i thought you had a safc or am i just imagining things? or is it just your ebc?

JAM ecu, with HDI EBC-R/rocket arming switch..
Glanza_cl replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Electronics
nothing wrong with them good, simple bit's of kit...do exactly what there supposed to do hold a nice strong boost that's adjustable :surrender:
