Hey! Nice side view of your GT there! All u need now is skirts, but hey those two bumpers are damn low, bet they hate speed bumps ;b Top job mate! Keep up the good work! Peace out Joz

Real nice pics there Rich! I would say the graphics and the black bumper are a hallmark of your car! Plz keep em on ;b Yours was the 1st and best and the rest just tried to follow! ;b Keep up the good work, I'm sure she'll be back to her best apart real soon! Peace Out Joz

Like I said in another post! Farkin out of order! Its like its already difficult to live your own life how you want to and even the transport to get to all the destinations in life have a @%*$ stranglehold on too! Hope this don't go ahead of course, but it may be geared towards more heavily modified cars. Who the @*%$ they think they are? Whats it gonna prove besides more revenue for the DVLA? Will it really make anything safer? Its nitpicking if you ask me! Doing something for the pure sake of it! Good luck to our future! UKSC! Peace Out Joz

Hey dude Congrats on getting the wind deflectors fitted. I got mine from a different UK seller on ebay not that octimex dude and mine had a label saying they came from Australia. Get sum pics up soon! Peace Out Joz

Cool man It would be nice to see that documented. Good luck with it! Peace Out Joz

What a bastard! Heard they tried to do this modification ban earlier in the year and it finally happened down south! The proposed law has too many contradictions and hypocrisms tho... What is legal and what the fark is not? Some cars come with sports additions as standard... Don't know how the fark it went ahead down south? But I'm sure some dudes down there are still in the scene. Way of out of order if the law comes into place over here! Just getting into it as well! Peace Out Joz

Everythings cool! I believe that loom does exist, just a matter of finding it ;b You won't need it once you get an amp anyways! Peace Out Joz

Sounds like a lot of little prangs are happening lately... The rest of us best be careful and keep your eyes out guys for damn peeps reversing! Better safe than sorry Peace Out Joz
-
Sounds unlucky mate! Maybe looking up bells palsy on google will give you some more insight if thats what you really got as my grandad had it mildly a few years ago and recovered so good news is its not permanent! Must be serious if you have to tape your eyelid shut Hope you recover soon! Best of Luck! Peace Out Joz

Have a good one Cube & Hitachi! Peace Out Joz

Hey Phil Dials r looking great! I am currently looking to do some business with this new graphics company too Fitted the k&n last night, its makes a noticeable difference like u said but even better with the mani? (rubs it in) Feels like a different car ;b Peace Out Joz
-
Damn dude Sorry to hear about that! Hope u get it sorted soon. How goes the rest of the car? Peace Joz

Its hard to remove the panels unless you know what you are doing! I got so far and stopped, just to make sure I didn't break anything as I don't think the staret skirting is high quality and would be a bummer to replace. Linking the wiring off the head unit is fine until u invest in a proper amp and subs etc when you then have to wire up the amp to the battery and earth the amp. Thats the best I can think of,if your looking for temporary subtle sounds ;b Peace Out Joz

Wasup dude Yea it would be safe to buy from starletgtturbo for your leads, can't lose there. I just thought it would be informative to ask trd usa how much it would cost as the leads themselves are $90. Just for future reference... ;b I am a regular for buying little things like that overseas and you hardly get taxed for stuff from the US, normally from Japan. As for the streetcorner thing, they don't cost that much, prob less than the magnecors ;b And yea, this can be an expensive hobby but very satisfying when its all said & done;b! Fair play for wanting to get a jdm mani before getting a k&n or similar. But I am really surprised how long I have lasted without one, I now seriously feel like I'm driving a proper 1.4 ;b Boy are you going to appreciate changing the air filter. Its also much more satisfying if you have a backbox than the standard exhaust ;b Maybe add that to your list?... I'll send u a pm;b I am really annoyed that I have to work tonight and not be out there chilling out in the starlet ;b Can't really cruise in town as its chock-a-block fullo chavs and drunks lol! Take it ez all Peace Out Joz -
K&N Panel Filter Part Numbers & Specs for the Toyota Starlet. K&N Part Number 33-2634 33-2634 Product Specifications Product Style: Panel Air Filter Height: 1 in (25 mm) Outside Length: 7.205 in (183 mm) Outside Width: 6.654 in (169 mm) Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.38 oz (11 ml) Weight: 0.7 lb (0.3 kg) Product Box Length: 9.88 in (251 mm) Product Box Width: 7.63 in (194 mm) Product Box Height: 1.81 in (46 mm) Suitable for: 1990-1995 TOYOTA STARLET 1.3L L4 F/I - Non-US, OHC, Turbo, EP82 1996> TOYOTA STARLET 1.3L L4 F/I - OHC, 4EFE/4EFTE Eng, EP91 Price around £41.00 inc uk postage, ideally from www.ybfilters.co.uk, they also deal on ebay and are very reliable (seller name ybfilters) or any other reliable motor factors. This is the Performance Panel Filter, not an induction kit as there was never a EP82/EP91 specific K&N induction kit made. Please check dimensions to make sure, but this fits 100% in my 1998 Starlet. I have also come across another K&N panel filter which if you search for starlet related products on the K&N site and my ep91 being a 1998, only the part number 33-2094 comes up and says that its suitable for TOYOTA Starlet 1.3L L4 F/I - 16v which is not right for the car I requested. 33-2094 Product Specifications Product Style: Panel Air Filter Height: 1.25 in (32 mm) Outside Length: 10 in (254 mm) Outside Width: 4.875 in (124 mm) Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.48 oz (14 ml) Inner Wire: No Top Style: Open Weight: 1 lb (0.4 kg) Product Box Length: 13.5 in (343 mm) Product Box Width: 7.75 in (197 mm) Product Box Height: 1.75 in (44 mm) This is the wrong one for EP91/EP82 as it is a long rectangular air filter unless yours really is that shape, I ordered it in error before and sent it back. The one the majority of people will want is the part number 33-2634 and it is a small squarish one which is exactly the same size as the factory airbox and fits snug. Thanks for reading. Peace Joz

Joz's K&N Panel Filter Feedback! OK I'm back from my mates after fitting the K&N filter charger to my car and I am lost for words!!! Yea I drive my car at this time because I finish work after hours ;b All I can say is it is a really huge improvement to the pulling power of the engine, tte zorst sounds a little deeper & louder & the jdm mani helps the car accelerate effortlessly and at a faster rate When I used to put the foot down it took a while to go up the revs and even at high revs (4500rpm+) the car was going up in speed but the strength of it felt really flat and kinda empty After installing the k&n the car has totally changed with the car feeling like it has a little more power on the accelerator, I am laughing at what it would be like to have an apexi on!!! There is also a little more engine noise and the car is much happier this way for sure I feel like Im driving a 1.4 at least On the way back, some sporty black car decided to follow me for a 1/4 mile, no chance mate if he wanted to catch me at 98mph lol ;b Totally chuffed! 40 beans well spent!!! Get rid of that oem air filter if you got one, its not doin u any favours! ;) Thanks for reading! Peace Out Joz -

Finally got a nice comment from Shelly !Its all GOOD! Back to topic I got the TRD leads off eBay, they crop up from time to time but I did pay a little too much in 70 beans + shipping from japan, beans is the most popular form of currency on UKSC lol! I believe you can get them new from www.trdsales.com for a bit less, but I've no idea of the shipping from US so u would have to contact them ;b let me know how you get on, they got sum nice stuff on there! I think the trd leads are a nice alternative to the red magnecor's that many people have ;b I got my K&N performance panel air filter in the post today so I am gonna fit it tonight and hopefully see the difference ;b I'm off to work for now... Cant justify doing anything else to my car til lowering and adj panhard is sorted so I got a little wait til summer! Its gonna be worth it tho... Laters Peace Joz -
Real nice clean pics there Shelly Lovin your white glanza! Really stands out from other white ones I seen so far. Is it me or do your window tints reflect blue When you gonna check out my red sr and leave a comment huh ? lol! Keep up the good work, any more tasty mods planned? Take care Peace Joz

@Blue Icarian Wings Cheers for the compliments mate, trust me Im not that far ahead of you but do have a couple of things sorted, and yea something to replace the stock hosing would be nice (those are trd ignition leads by the way ; Get to this stage and you are laughing mate ;b I look forward to you catching up, I need to get my rear lights sorted too but I'm gonna get her lowered 1st! Up to you about the bump strips but individuality is the key ;b... JDM mani is pretty much the top mod for n/a starlet in terms of drivetrain performance. Take care, keep updating and have fun. @Enzo Cool mate, I like the way you edited my post at the end to hide your secret squirrel plans lol, sound as mate, get an update when you can, look forward to it. I am getting her lowered and adj panhardened this summer for sure after college is over! Am sourcing a set of either coilys or adj shocks & springs. Hope you got them Geocool anti lift kits ready by then lol ;b Peace All From Joz -
Hey Dude ;b Your plan sounds fine! Go for what you see fit! The whole site is behind you ;b Take it ez Peace Joz

Have a good one Bro! Take the big 25 in your stride! Good to hear your Glanza's back on the road! Peace Out From Joz

Hey man Welcome to the UKSC! Nice project you got there to work on. Geo's right! Take his advice and mine too ;b I have some of the stuff on my car that you propose to do, like jdm corrola inlet manifold and strut brace and I haven't declared them. I am also getting her lowered this summer! You don't need to do every single thing by the book, but I guess some insurers are more picky and conscious of any mention of tee word 'modification'!. Just some friendly advice, the induction kit will help you make more engine noise but has been proven in the starlet to lose you power, best to go with a performance panel air filter like a k&n, mines in the post as we speak ;b I was taken to the induction kit before I was convinced by a few top n/a tuners that uprated panel air filter is best! And if you want to know about the jdm inlet manifold, it is a very worthy replacement modification that grants increased acceleration flow and and makes your engine sound like a rx7 tec ;b (made that up!) Chill out and take each step at a time and work on one or two aspects of your car rather than prepare a huge list of stuff at once, its more fun that way and you can come up with a nice list of stuff you have achieved once its sorted! But its cool that you are enthusiastic, you have started well with the clear indicators and silvatecs and the more you check out this site you will learn more in no time. I haven't done that much to my car and spent a little bit of money, but it has been transformed from what it was, am proud and I know what I want done to it ;b I started from scratch too from grandad mobile to basically a Red Sr If you have time, please check out my extreem ep ride and let me know what you think! I would fix the little problems you have first like the headlamp housingand the bonnet before you start to bling and tune your car for peace of mind ;b Then the skies the limit for what you think your n/a can handle within your spending power! Take it easy & most importantly have fun, keep up the good work and don't give up! Hear from ya soon bro Peace Out From Joz
