Cheers Nic Glad you like the parts man, I can't wait until they are on the car As for the gearbox it was all built up when the problem was found so it was pretty professional instead of just giving it back to me etc which any place could have done. The spacers are being ordered today and take 2 days to come in. The guy sorting my gearbox is also my emanage tuner, pretty impressed with his attitude and dealings. Im dying to fire this engine up but like everything I must wait. -
Sorry to hear this Massen. Is it possible for you to source a second hand unit? Hope you get back on track man.

Project Red EP91 5EFHE Rebuild Update There was a small complication with the gearbox so it has to be taken apart and done again. The culprit was the spacer that goes behind the front diff bearing, it was too thin hence the lsd being aftermarket was a little too slack. Im glad this was found out and a selection of spacers have been ordered. This has held back getting the engine running however at least its going to be right. Goes to show that no matter how well prepared you are, a few problems will happen. The engine bay bits should be painted by now. l left the chu bits with my bodyshop and just waiting for the rest of the parts from Sheekey. I have also acquired a tin of satin black bbq paint for the block, 200C/400F should do the job. Overall Im still positive about the project and looking forward to it. Patience is a god damn virtue. -
Glad you're keeping her Laura. Have patience and you will have a very sexy EP. Keep it up.

From an n/a owner who has used the iridiums, they are fine bro. Have had not one problem with them. Glad to hear you are keeping the kermit. Looking forward to these updates. Keep the faith. You still going for what we discussed?

I know it can be difficult to find the right sections. Have a look in EP Technical for Turbo Tech, Fueling and 4EFTE under Engines. Those sections will have all the info you are after. If there is anything else you need to know or ask please search before posting a new thread. Any other "what BHP" threads will soon be moved. Thanks & please use and enjoy what the site has to offer.

@nerosis I'll have to issue a warning to you if you do not start posting in the right sections. You are clearly ignoring the rules. Thank You

Please start attempting to post in the right sections. A warning will result soon if you do not start using the site properly. Thank You

Unfortunately they have to fail a certain percentage of people dude. At least you will more prepared for the final test. Observation is the most important.
-
Real sorry to hear this bud. I know you were gunning for this test and tbh you didn't do much wrong, much like your last test. Those islands with the three turnings can be a bit of a stitch up. What were you instructed to do in that situation? April 20th will be the day when you finally nail it mate. The system is just ghey and you know it. I know its not cheap man but all the best and chin up.

FAO All Members: New Rules In Classifieds
Jozinobi replied to Bildo's topic in News & General Announcements
Hi Bob Thanks for your response to our announcement on trading within UKSC. In response to your post it is certainly fine to use photobucket or any other reliable hosting site to host photos of items for sale on the forum. It is a common method used on the site now by members selling and it also helps by not using the sites bandwidth as you have mentioned. I can understand that you have had some difficulties in the past with buyers. Lately we have been more protective over buyers because there have been increasing problems with sellers selling items not as described or general abuse as a result of a misunderstanding. However we also want to notify all buyers to be please be courteous and honest when negotiating a transaction with a seller. If the item does not suit you or the postage costs are beyond your expectations please be honest and decline the deal. Simply ignoring the seller will cause problems for them, communication is the key. It is up to you to find out all possible information from the seller especially the condition and appearance of the item. Sellers should also be as honest as possible in their description. We appreciate members such as yourself on the site Bob, the fact you are willing to sell parts at reasonable prices to members that may need them is very considerate and admirable. Thanks for your concern. If there are any suggestions or system that you or other members feel could greatly improve trading on UKSC please don’t hesitate to let us know. We will try to be as vigilant as possible in the case of any future problems however it is the sole responsibilty of the buyer and the seller to ensure a smooth transaction. The template has been introduced in the best interest of both parties so please can everyone use it even if you are selling on behalf of a friend. All I can say is that please all traders, sellers and buyers to be more professional and trustworthy in your dealings with each other so that the UKSC trading experience is as pleasant and professional as possible. How easy is it to drop a 5EFE into a N/A?
Jozinobi replied to CRAIG-SR's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
There is quite a bit of info on the 5E NA swap in NA discussions. The work needed for 5EFTE has already been discussed in this very (wrong) section that you have posted in (Alternative Engine Discussions). You must take the time to look through the forum as a lot of it has already been discussed before. We are all here to help but if you do not even make the effort to look, others efforts will have been wasted. Thread now moved to correct section. In future please 'Search' the forum. Thanks. -
Yes it is referring to the standard exhaust manifold. The rest of the car is more important than that small shortcoming
-
Nice one man. Look forward to seeing some spanking new ones fitted. I have a set on order from Sam myself
-
Well done for getting the rear 3 point fitted Kennedy. Did you take any pics of your new headlights fitted ?
