My bad guys, serves me right for not looking at the link first Yup they are Speedvisions. @Riko, with the extra work etc hope to allow a bit over fhe oem. No news on the package chap and are you in Saudi already? Joz
-
If you don't want to pay the full price for Cruise Springs, Sam aka Speedvision is selling valve springs based on the design of the cruise springs and uses the same materials so I reckon the closest you can get to the real thing and developed and R'n'D'd by a startlet parts fabricator for peace of mind. He is usually on tgtt and there will be group buy in January sometime, here's the link and price> Speedvision Valve Springs I'll be in for a set for definite. Joz

Merry Christmas Hope you get what you wished for ;) May 2008 be a bigger, better and brighter year for us all Joz

Thanks again for the great comments everyone, they make everything I've put into this project worth that much more and means an awful lot. @Mart, they are a subtle width increase of 20mm, not really 'flared' as such but slightly wider than normal after the vent, they are not as extreme as the Zep and not as refined as the Cruise, to me they are a happy medium mate which suits me fine. @Liam, cheers for that bro, I'll do my 200% best to make it to JAE '08 along with the nanglebadger, promise ;) I've concentrated on a total balance really, with subtle looks/aesthetics and function, a real extreem driving experience EP. Just can't wait to get the brakes on Still need to take the nangle out for a test run... Joz -

Thanks for that Si, you are still a vulture tho lol ;) I will be keeping them for the meantime, my brakes guru says they wont work/fit. No buts Simon. Joz -
Thats great news mate! You gave her a good solid test drive then eh? Do you feel its a huge step up from the SR? Look forward to seeing some pics man as well as future plans. Nice one! Joz

Hey Kelly I love reading about Ben's ex JAM GT, seems like a really nice and capable machine, even more so with the TE37's. Will be awesome to see what the dyno results will be on the new setup. I reckon it will beat the old qtr mile time as well ;) Also sorry to hear about the break-in to your auto in the past, hence the delock etc, she is a really nice example and I hope to see some more progress soon. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. Was a pleasure to view them. Joz

The fenders do take a bit of getting used to bro as they are out of the ordinary but I think they fit in well. 5 spokes indeed bro! No rush on the UKSCNI meet but hopefully we can all hook up again when the time is right. Same with your your parts too man. Thanks for your support. Joz -

Thanks for all the supportive comments ;) They are indeed the mc_chu fender specials I hope to update again a little after the new year. I just love this project so Im no way stopping now Seasons Greetings everyone. Joz -
Be quiet Coupe' boy ;) As the man above says, you would only really feel an improvement in handling when you really push the car to its limits say on a track or very spirited driving (which is not really recommended but happens). There is always this misconception about 'handling'. You also don't have to be going that fast to have great handling, you could be on a very tight circuit with low speed limit of say 50 that would really push your car to the limit and you would need good driving skills. I heard you guys had a good time last night Mark! Excellent night photos, and great poses. An excellent mini meet. Joz

Winter 2007 Update I've decided to release part of my update otherwise I will get behind. I've been busy since the last update and have added some choice support parts to the engine, namingly a Section Engine Damper, TRD engine mounts and Earls red braided clutch line. Here is what you get with the engine damper. The TRD engine mounts when they were waiting to go in. I will get some photos of the engine bay soon so that you can see the engine damper fitted as well as the red braided clutchline. Arriving after a two month wait from Yahoo Japan was a set of 15" 57C Gramlights. And some unexpected bodywork also took place... Crystal N/A headlights were also worthy additions to the JDM cause A tasteful 6K Hi Lo HID kit has also been added courtesy of mc_chu. Here is what you get with the kit. I will be adding some better pics of the ballasts in the engine bay and them in action soon, just a quick taster of the HID lo beams. There is also a front AE101 twin-pot brake conversion on the way (in my possession), as soon as the calipers are painted and serviced they will be bolted on. My setup will be a different approach from that of Sicaln altho the same calipers will be used. Here are some photos of what my kit comprises of, the pads that I'll be using are Endless Super Streets. The rears unfortunately cannot be used. Im on the look out for the rear brake conversion also, but one step at a time ;) I also had Ultra Racing fender braces fitted, I've lost my phone lead so pics of them installed will appear when I get a new one. Arriving soon from the ToyTuning Ultra Racing group buy will be a Room Bar and 4 Point Lower Arm. That will be the suspension quest pretty much over... These aint my pics but heres what Im expecting. Here is how Starletto looks today, its like the alloys were on the car all along (dressed with Rays anodized red extended nuts and Rays wheel caps)... Im very very pleased with them One last major piece of bodywork will be modified so will be updated as soon as it happens. Im running a universal Remus backbox but its too quiet and restrictive so will be returning to Jap Can soon. With the bodywork almost complete I will be concentrating solely on n/a engine performance in 2008 and have some big plans... that I won't reveal for now Hope you enjoyed my long awaited update, there will be more to come soon. Sorry for the long wait everyone Joz -
Hi Mike Check the Technical Archive as there are an abundance of detailed answers on strut braces and bolt-on suspension components in particular. Technical Archive Chassis & Suspension Section Thanks Joz

You could have just said so in his thread TinTin ;) Have to admit they are very nice and shows how 18's should be done on an EP. Joz

Think more about how you are gonna insure it first man. Its easy to go and get an FTE and transplant it, and get someone to do the wiring. Its the insurance thats more important. Get a decent quote in the bag then do everything you want with peace of mind. Thats the way forward mate. Joz
