EP82 AERO development car wanted! - Backyard Civics
Socks replied to Amjad's topic in Performance & Track Days
I See. Its not easy to see where it's mounted from the photos that's all. Never said for one second he didn't know what he was doing either bud. Was merely pointing out from the photos it "looked" like it was mounted to a plastic spoiler. That was all I look forward to seeing some feedback of the changes its made to the handling of the car. -

Where else is it mounted? I can see the mounts on the boot above the reg surround? -

The front splitter is a work of art. For it to function properly it needs to be mounted to the chassis, not the bumper. Which it has! The air release is also a work of art! I have a design for that too im yet to do a run of to see how they come out! The spoiler though, its top mounts are mounted to a plastic spoiler? :s The point of the rear wing is to push the back of the car down at high speed to gain stability. Not sure I'd recommend pushing down on the tip of a plastic spoiler to try and push the rear of the car down? Just a thought. I would have thought mounting it to metal. Boo -

Front exit exhaust and darkish wheels? -
That tells you the TRIM Number. So the spec, engine, box. etc and will also have the VIN (ep82-xxxxxxx) on it. Id like to see them both in person close up... Something fishy going on here! I'll prolly get the blame for this too.
-
Chassis Numbers are stamped in a large font. Pictures or even at shows. Wouldn't be hard to be honest! Even on modern cars, the chassis number is usually below tax disc visible to the public!
-
Well this gets more interesting... Be VERY Careful with this folks... Richdog's car is EP82-0105200.. As seen here: which is the same chassis number as the one advertised above!: So the cars have the same chassis number? WTF is going on...
-
The car is defo not the same. So ringed or cloned plates. I would be amazed if it was a dvla error. This community is too small to get away with cloning plates tho!
-
It has the same reg as richdogs White mk1. Which is a bit scary if it is a dvla issue!

Something I forgot to share the other day... This seems like it gets asked daily these days! Using the leaderboard that you guys have kindly posted results too, we can paint a nice picture on turbocharger behaviour on a 4E-FTE. (All Pump Fuel) CT9, Blitz K1 & TF035 Results were Stock engine. Rest were Forged engines. The Blitz K1 (Gainzys Car). Really shows how impressive it is. Beating all the turbos mid range. We can also see, just why the TD04 is so popular! And we can also see why GT3076's and TD05's are certainly NOT what i'd recommend to people. Unless your
