how do you guys go about undersealing you imports? how much is it to get it done? is it worth me attempting it myself? Rich.

its a stupid idea really. if cars in a convoy are street racing then i understand why they'd threaten that.... but for general driving in convoy is just plain stupid.

yeah, i tried the 5efhe... the wiring was completely different right back to the ecu. its basically the same type of wiring thats on the 4efte... so in went my old engine again!

yeah, i suppose so... really want to get a few more starlets coming though!

how do you go about painting the engine bay then mate? just mask everything off? dont most places prefer to drop the engine?

if you want to see what all of that looks like mate you may as well just look at a pic of a glanza? the glanza has no door strips, the sides, and the rear bumper... or look at joz's car!

well i the guy i bought my car off says i can go down there and try plugging an older spec one in... but it means going to london... and if i have any problems down there im stuck there. i tried a different ecu in my old starly and it didnt work, so i swapped it back to the original and it took hours for the ecu to reset and allow me to start the car! i just dont want that to happen! true, i dont know what the other car had done to it, but i was sure it was standard. who knows!

before even considering a engine change, i'd find out about insurance first. me and si both wanted to do engine changes in our old starlets and gave up when it came to insurance, my old car with engine change to 4efte £2236 tpft my glanza £818 fully comp.

@adrian: eksjay mentioned it in another thread. when i bought my suspension setup i drove the 97 glanza the suspension was on, and it was much faster... the boost came in savagely compaired to mine, so i assumed it was because of the harder suspension... but it still doesnt seem the same... so i know theres a difference. the question is... will a earlier ecu plug in and work ok? i dont want to buy one and it not work! have you changed yours si? yeah, i do remember you selling one... you were gonna be my next port of call! balls... o well.
