  1. No the rears just pop into the disc, they pretty much fall out when you take the disc off the rear shaft.
  2. You don't need a press for the rear bearings - they really are a doddle. You only need a 12mm and 14mm socket/spanner to remove the brake caliper and pad carrier, maybe a flat head screw driver to pry off the grease cap and to help get the caliper prised off and a pair of pliers to get the split pin in and out, finally I think about a 19mm socket or just and adjustable wrench for the bearing nut which only needs to be hand tight.
  3. I've just got an adaptor without the hose but that's for an electrical sensor, tidier than having another hose.
  4. Much better on both counts, the key word is "compliant" they just ride better over bumps giving better road holding.
  5. My chatter has completely disappeared with the screamer too, just get a strange loud noise that I can't describe when you back off slowly just a sort of "brmmmmmmmmm" Turbo will be revealed soon....ish.
  6. I'll pop along whenever - not exactly far for me, is the workshop just behind the co-op Gary?
  7. Nah its gone too far now to get rid - too much money and time spent on it, I have a sensible volvo for the daily drive though. I was checking the gaskets on the screamer to see if they were leaking to start with! I didn't really like the noise either but I quite enjoy it now - it's also one of the loudest cars I've ever heard! Yeah it's sorted the creep on my wee ct9 which had got quite bad so I'm looking forward to seeing how it is with a slightly bigger snail.;) Cheers guys.
  8. I can't believe it's been a year since I've made any updates on this! The glanza (and the forum) has been a bit neglected for a while due to the purchase of a house in July last year and being busy with my job. The winter last year was a cruel one for the glanza with it being parked up for most of it on the street and turning into an iglo, it didn't turn a wheel for at least two months (it wouldn't have got very far in the snow anyway) and by the time it did the brakes were horribly rusted on the back and the recaros had even gone mouldy! Move onto March this year and I got her roadworthy again and through the mot - all it really needed was new rear discs and pads which I was glad to hear. So with it back on the road there was a couple of bits I was wanting to do; First thing was fitting a zisco manifold complete with external wastegate which had been lying about for at least 2 years now. Having seen the state of some mild steel zisco manifolds just after being fitted I knew the paint they use isn't up to much so I blasted and painted the mani with some proper high temp paint and also got a boss machined and welded on at my work for the fitment of my defi egt sensor, to go on with the mani I had a turbosmart external wastegate with small zisco screamer pipe. Fitting wasn't completely straight forward due to the wastegate exhaust runner on the Zisco mani fouling both sensors on my blitz decat so these had to be "manipulated" out of the way and some of the nuts are even tighter to get to than the standard mani but there wasn't any major problems. (Yes the rocker cover needs repainted with some proper heat resistant stuff!) Tight fit... I wasn't sure how this was going to sound with the screamer - loud is the answer! I understand the comments about wet farts now as it does have a strange rasp, to me it sounds like a leaking gasket but I'm starting to get used to it now, before the screamer opens the exhaust note is much "cleaner" though. There is definately a bit more poke and no more boost creep now however I haven't been able to reduce the lag much which I'm slightly disappointed about - I thought I may be able to tune the Profec E-01 a bit more but the setting I had it on previously seems best suited to the external wastegate. The only other thing I've done is given the whole car a good clean again - clay bar'd, polish'd and wheels sealanteded; Not much done for now but I have a few other bits waiting to go on so hopefully will have another update soon....
  9. oh well i r wrong! Mine never had the original hanger when i got the car either then.
  10. That'll probably be the hanger for an ep82 on the new exhaust so you'll need to get new hangers welded on the back box to suit the glanza.
  11. Any of those in the standard size will fade on the track.
  12. A simple google search would find you the manual and wiring diagrams..... http://www.defi-shop.com/product/images/dl...anual06064e.pdf
  13. An FCD with no fuelling mods is very bad advice. An adjustable actuator may help control the boost better or porting the wastegate should sort it so you can control and lower the boost, for now put the restriction back in or go easy with your right foot and keep an eye on the boost gauge - if you dont have one get one! If you want to run at the higher boost ie above fuel cut you'll need other supporting mods.
  14. These are for EP82 only?
  15. You've got low oil pressure when the cars been given a bootful as the oil will be hotter and thinner hence the pump won't be working as hard to pump the oil so less pressure. If the pressure is dropping low enough to bring the light on a new pump might be needed.
  16. I was waiting to see if I would have my car mot'd in time... but I won't. Definately up for a meet at some point soon though.
  17. Might want to put the "proper" one in a better position too - the way you have the current two will just let the oil run back down the pipe, they won't be doing anything the way they are. On topic - as already stated if you do want a ss one don't get a cheap one off ebay!
  18. As uou said it sounds like you had boost creep with the stock manifold and now you have a decent flowing one the boost isn't creeping so much. Get an adjustable actuator or boost controller if you want it back up to 1 bar
  19. I got mine from there - all good. They're pretty easy to fit, hardest part is getting the old bushes and metal rings out.
  20. I'll be up for this as it gives me something to aim for with getting my car back in a respectable condition, I need to get it on the rollers to see whats up with it too. Banter should be good too. 1.Scratchy 2.Gary (GBRM) 3. _shaun_ 4.ryan-11 5.Rory 6.Connor 7.Maz90 8.Andrew Miller 9.Greg M 10.gtmuzz 11. hullahoops 12. Chris 13.Russleh 14. Shahzad 15. paul mc 16. WallaceGlanza I've added paul mc too.
  21. You'll spend a fortune getting them repaired hence why I got rid of my set for Meister's instead - which are much better for back roads. Mickgardner racing quoted me for repairing them -£120 a shock and you should really do them in pairs.
  22. Yes, there are adjustment screws holding the fogs on, you should be able to adjust them with the bumper fitted from below.
  23. Certainly sounds like the alternator has gone, you should still be getting over 13volts with the ancillaries on whilst running.
