Crap rear tyres will be the main reason, if you're going to have a pair of crap tyres then they'd be better/safer at the front.
-
It will do the job but I definately disagree that it's better than anything else. Zisoc or a roadrunner would be what I would go for, not heard of many of them cracking. Oh and you could port the standard mani yourself, you just need the right tool (a dremel with a good grinding tip would do the job) and a bit of time.

Yes.

Need a bit more details on exactly what the ecu is, most piggybacks like the emanage are universal to a degree though and will just need wired in then set up to suit the specific car.

The starlet wiper stalk is on the same side as the glanza (they are the same car after all) like most jap cars are too, but you should be able to modify them to be on the left side with a little work.

Need Guidance With Uprated Springs
WallaceGlanza replied to navrallystarlet's topic in Chassis & Suspension
I take it you can't afford coilovers? As you may even be able to raise the car with them and obviously would be stiffer and give you a good bit of adjustment too. -
Yeah you don't really want to be playing guessing games with the fuelling, with it set to 0.75 bar and 2.6-2.8bar fuel pressure it should be fine but just take it easy until it's properly set up.

That is the way I'll be doing mine when I finally fit it but I will have the two lines from the rocker tee'd together into one port on the catch can then the other port will be tapped into the turbo inlet to ensure there is a vaccuum to pull the oil through as without it the oil will just sit in the lines. I'm also going to fit a one way valve at the tap in point on the turbo intake to make sure the catch can won't be pressurised (even though there isn't pressure in the intake pre turbo the charged intake could get to the can instead of chattering out the filter without the valve) like the sto

He wants to see one on a 4efe though.

Well deserved, a very nice photo and car. You got my vote Joz.

The way you have it drawn won't work. It would be trying to spin up both turbos at once and from a 1.3 there is not enough exhaust gases to spool them. You need them set up sequentially for there to be a chance of it actually working. For the time money and effort you need to put in, the final outcome really wouldn't be worth it. Good luck if you do go ahead with it though.

If you unplug the idle control valve it won't be doing anything so obviously won't make a noise, when working it makes a ticking noise. They can be cleaned to help quieten it down but it's not gonna cause any harm other than making a noise.
-
If it's back of the engine bay it's probably just the idle control valve, these tick quietly. It's located at the drivers side end of the inlet manifold, there's a plug coming off it, unplug it whilst running and see if the noise stops.
-
Yes it does, if its just a small one.
-
Could be the gasket leaking if it's just been recently fitted, have a quick check that all the nuts are still tight on both the head to mani and mani to turbo too as it's not uncommon for them to shake loose.
-
Sounds like a leaking exhaust gasket if it goes up with the revs, or even worse it could be the manifold - if it's a cheap one!

I was considering doing that to be different... Yeah it's silly light, much lighther than the rays(probably half as much) despite the difference in size, it's made of magnesium and is pretty thin metal too. Would be interesting on the 1/4 mile stareing at the sky the whole way down the strip! Got it off ebay actually, although there is a few places you can get used wheels but I specifically wanted one with a tyre which are a bit harder to find.

Lol agreed, Hamilton has been faster than Button the whole season in the same car. The guy has raw talent and Ron Dennis spotted that when he was young hence why he kept him in his pocket to exploit him now. Button has almost admitted at a few races this season that it's not about being the quickest in every race but managing tyres etc He only says that because he know's he isn't as quick as Hamilton in a straight fight - just like he wasn't at Canada which he said himself.
-
Lol no I wouldn't think so, 355/45 profile but only 13inch diameter. Yeah it's a rear F1 wheel, I think from a Sauber, will make a nice coffee table.
-
I agree, just right, will give a nice stance.... The feeble 7inch wide rays....
-
These may require a little work to fit but should give awesome grip on the track...

Comments/title edited, you don't know what's happened ste, as rubix said that's very presumptuous and pretty disrespectful in the situation. RIP indeed.

Engine Management Light? Help
WallaceGlanza replied to chr15_7_t_'s topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
The light comes on as a warning first then if yu keep boosting up you'll hit the fuel cut - there's normally not much delay when the fuel cut is still at the standard level though .
