Ah good stuff, well that is a nice cheap decent upgrade then, let us know how they feel once on.
-
No, you'll just lose a bit of power and it will sound crap.
-
Personally I'd get rid of it and get a decent one.
-
Yeah, I was going to say - you do realise those won't just bolt straight on?
-
You can't buy a "plug and play harness" it would need to be an extension harness that someonehas already wired the emanage harness into, it's a simplebit of wiring for an electrician, especially with a wiring diagram....

Just hand tightened or the wheel wont be able to turn! Just judge it by how smoothly the wheel turns.
-
Ah ok, it just looks closed at the top. It is indeed very clean then.

Some nice progress, one thing though - it looks like your passenger door is bent or somebody has tried to break into it?

I've not filed the teeth down but I'm going to check now how easily the plate goes onto the shaft,I also didn't use an allignment tool - I just did it by eye, I did it by eye previously (when the engine and box were both out) and the box fitted back on easily then, I am going to get a clutch allignment tool just incase though. Even if the clutch wasn't alligned properly I think the shaft would still go partly on but I'm not getting anywhere at all, I think it is the the postioning of the box - it's just so bloody awkward and at the moment I am doing it just on my own.
-
Lol no, more like Skeletor! If it's that easy how am I having so much trouble! How did you get it in postion?
-
Wish mine would do that! Did you lift it into place? I've mainly just been trying to lift it in from above.
-
I'm halfway through a clutch change (that I started a few weeks ago! ) and I'm having a nightmare trying to get the chuffing gearbox back on, I just can't seem to get the shaft into the clutch at all, I think it's just a case of not getting it lined up quite right. So I was wondering if anyone had any tips of how to get it on, I've just got the box sitting on a jack then trying to lift it into position but can't get the shaft in, any suggestions on how to do it as I'm starting to get very frustrated with this!?

Somebody that isn't familiar with tuning won't read it like that though. So best to just make it clear. -
Turbo Deristriction 1st And 2nd
WallaceGlanza replied to madmax_926's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Fitting an FCD alone to get rid of fuel is a bad idea and very bad advice too. To avoid boost creep you either want to restrict the air flow or port the wastegate, you could try an uprated actuator and decent boost controller but this may not solve the problem. An emange blue with no other mods is a little over kill, it would work but when more mods were added later the map may need tweaked to get the best out of the new setup so can be expensive. You could just get an fcd and fuel regulator for now but you'd still need the fuelling checked/ the regulator set up on a rolling road so it is -
Check ebay, and please start posting in the correct sections - topic moved.

Have a good one dude, hopefully you're suitably by now!

Engine Judder Continued! Ffs
WallaceGlanza replied to madmax_926's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Just from this sentance it does sound like fuel cut - 0.8bar is very close to the fuel cut so you could easily be hitting it. But you said in the first post that when you rev it on idle it judders? -

I've merged your topics as it's easier for people to give you an answer when they know the full story. I didn't read the part about it stuttering on idle when revved so that does rule out the clutch slipping (and fuel cut), as others have said it could well be an ignition problem so I would at least check and possibly change (if due) the plugs, leads, distributer and rotor arm - these are good things to change anyway if you don't know when they were last done. Any "bits" from the air filter would've had to go through the turbo first, so if it's still spooling smoothly then there may not be a -
The wire sare to power the gauge, so it will be positive, earth, illumination (sidelights) but not sure on the other. Best thing to do would be to find a manual for the gauge.

What setup are you running?

That'll be the clutch slipping. -
Do U Think This Number Plate Is Too Dodgy To Use?
WallaceGlanza replied to bucketep91's topic in Off Topic
I have a pretty small one, as seen below (sounds dodgy) and I've never been pulled for it (had it over 2 years like that). Yours is maybe a little smaller but since it's not an actual plate it looks a lot worse, get an actual plate the same size and put it in the middle then you're morelikelyto get away with it. -
I'd try re-fitting the stock turbo and see if it still does it. Also have you got any fuelling mods to go with the hybrid turbo?
