  1. It is true, Toby helped develop them with the intention of having the sole distribution rights but powerflex obviously forgot about it!
  2. Adjust them so that the springs have no preload on them, ie the springs are only just held by the adjuster ring, yours will be much stiffer if the guy has lowered the car by increasing the spring preload. Coilovers are better because of the adjustability, if set up correctly they'll offer much more than shocks and springs can. The spring rates on some coilovers are aimed for track use and thats why people find them too hard for road use, get the right coilovers or change the springs to one's with a lower spring rating then they will be perfect.
  3. They're not that much different, still better than the stock dials. I do love my indiglo's too.
  4. Buy the one's for a Gt then.
  5. Nope I don't sorry. Most of the time its just a normal dump valve sound, but you can also make it do a nice whipshhh (like a whip to start with) or some nice chatter. I like it. My msn is now wallaceturbo@hotmail.co.uk, I lost my old one when the computer got hacked into and haven't got round to adding people again, I've got like 5 contacts now!
  6. Cheers guys, won't be too long before they're finally back on the car.
  7. Looking good mate, will take a while wiring all the defi's in!
  8. Yeah you'll need a converter if you want them in mph they're £45 on eba. They are a peace of piss to fit, you just unscrew the speedo cable the screw on the converter by hand, although if your airbox is still in place that might need moved to gain access.
  9. There's a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator so you don't nee to take the hose off, it just unscrews.
  10. Cheers mate, I'm pretty chuffed with the way they came out and can't wait to get them back on! Oh and the rays valve caps had been nicked before I even got the wheels so they do just have cheap one's on now.
  11. No probs, you can also tell by the code on the vin plate but I don't know the code, Jay will though....
  12. They all have that, jack up the car at one side with one wheel still on the ground then try to turn the wheel with it out of gear if you can't you have an lsd.
  13. Well its getting close to that time of year when the days get longer woman's clothes start peeling off and those that run different summer wheels can get them back on - like me! I've been itching to get my Ray's whels back on since they haven't been on the car for well over a year (due to me being away travelling last summer) and have spent more time off the car than on it since I've owned them. So today I set about cleaing them up for going back on, as they were looking a little worse for wear; I removed the old stickers then attacked them with a bucket of soapy water, some turtlewax wheel cleaner and plenty of elbow grease and they came out quite nicely; Then finally added the new stickers aswell as the TPI nuts which will be going on with the wheels; So all they need no is some nice new Yoko Parada's and they're ready to roll! :harhar:
  14. Definately sounds aftermarket then.
  15. The standard one is hollow and square, aftermarket is round and solid.
  16. Cheers mate yeah they stopped making them a while ago. I've had the mani for a while now but its still really good it'll be sold on eventually when I change my setup though....
  17. By the sounds of it you have no problem at all, a stock GT is not gonna pull that hard over 100mph. Get a proper boost gauge to see what you're running.
  18. As above, yes it is.
  19. I've been there Although that waterfall wasn't there when I was. Its at "canal city" (as it keeps saying) in fukuoka and its a massive shopping centre. When I was there they had a fountain show every 10mins to music with jets of water spraying like 20 metres high to music, again random but cool.
  20. I don't remember ever seeing this on here even though its a few years old, nice project anyway; http://www.sr20forum.com/members-rid...d-starlet.html
  21. Cheers guys, that little button's quite good fun actually! I can't wait to get all the bits and bobs done that I have planned for the next few months.
  22. Finally ordered the exhaust then! Which one? Look forward to seeing the "gadgets" fitted I won't spoil it since I know what they are.
  23. An sld (speed limit defencer) or speedo converter is the way to do it, simple.
  24. There's not been much happening with the Glanza over the winter months other than accumulating dirt and salt on the roads however there has been a pile of parts starting to grow ready to go on when the weather permits. Recently I finally got hold of and fitted my TC short shift kit, I waited a rediculously long time for it but it was almost worth it. Old shifter unit: New short shift stick and solid mounting bush's: All trim back in: The shift is much shorter (obviously) and generally tighter with the new stick and solid bush's however whilst fitting the brass linkage bush's the linkage pulled out slightly and now keeps popping out, meaning I can't select 2nd 4th or reverse. :drunk2: A new cable will sort it soon.... The only other new addition actually on the car is this: The greddy remote switching system, meaning I can activate the "over take boost" function on the Profec E-01 from the steering wheel whilst inevitably shouting "NOOOOSSS". Its not much use at the moment since the little ct9 only likes holding boost at 1bar plus over 4.5k but on the new turbo set up in the summer it should come in handy. :surrender: I'm looking forward to the better weather this year so I can get some of the new parts on and finally get the Glanza running and looking the way I've wanted from day 1.....
