Finally After A Very Long Wait....
WallaceGlanza replied to WallaceGlanza's topic in Lifestyle General
Cheers guys:) Poll added now too, I'm sure it will be split 50/50 though, it looks good both ways I think. I also like the fact that with them off there is absolutely no aftermarket exterior mods on the car yet it still looks really good. -
My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror
WallaceGlanza replied to WallaceGlanza's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Well even since before buying my Glanza I've known exactly how I've wanted it to look - that being an unashamed copy of Mark's (aka www.glanza.co.uk) K24 Glanza, it was always the one I lusted after before I even bought my Glanza nearly 4 years ago. So anyway the final piece of the puzzle was found a few weeks back in this scruffy looking bumper: I found it on ebay (for a bargain as usual ) and wanted it solely for the splitter, I could've bought a replica a long time ago but I really wanted a genuine oem one since they are made of plastic and won't immediately shatter when confronted wit -

Thanks again guys (and gals). Yeah think I might have to, they do look really good on but it looks good without them too. I'm not sure how well they'll fit with sticky tape either and I'm such a fussy git that if they're not right I won't be happy but I don't want to stick them on permanently. -

Cheers for the comments guys. They're nice aren't they, they're TSW Razors...... The white one's are genuine Rays Engineering wheels and are silly rare. I've only ever seen one set for sale..... -
I've finally gt my glanza looking the way I've wanted it to since I bought it almost 4 years ago when it looked pretty much like this: The main bit I've been waiting on to finish the exterior is the 98 spec splitter and I finally got a genuine toyota one a few weeks ago then sent it off with the bumper to be fitted and sprayed. I just got it back last night and was going to wait and take some nice scenic photos before showing it off but I think it looks ace just sat on the driveway.... My face is stuck like this:

I would like to but can't afford anything just now, I've spent over a grand in the last week on the car. I've got a couple of rear cusco coilovers with one having just started leaking too! I'll have to make sure its running right for it next year. You're dedicated though I'll give you that!
-
I'd love to come along on this but as usual the glanza isn't in the best shape for it (slipping clutch illegalish tires and leaking exhaust). They are some awesome roads up that way, I go on holiday with the family north of ullapool every year and will be taking the glanza up in a couple of months. I'm sure you'll have a great time guys, enjoy it and be safe.

All the colour codes are here mate: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6827 You can find the code on your vin plate on the engine bulk head too.

Yeah its obvious that it will be a prbelm when the stock tmic is moved as it stops the majority of water getting through. When I fitted my fmic ad it rained heavily water would get into my spark plug chmabers and cause a missfire and starting problems until I covered the scoop with duct tape! I would definately recommend doing something to stop the water getting in, whether it be a reverse scoop a Glanza S bonnet or even duct tape, they'll all do the job!

Lol very tasty But where's the cruise bonnet. Hope you had a good birthday.:surrender:

I'll leave this open for now so people can add any suggestions or spot mistakes then I'll sticky it. :surrender: -
This is a great site for finding the part numbers of any bits and will also give a rough idea on the prices to expect from toyota, this is the site: ToyoDIY Direct links to various toyota models on the forum; 1989 EP71 Turbo (Manual) 1991 GT Turbo (Manual) 1991 GT Turbo (Automatic) 1994 GT Turbo (Manual) 1994 GT Turbo (Automatic) 1994 EP85 S Type (Manual 3 door) 1996 UK NA EP91 (Manual 3 door) 1996 UK NA EP91 (Automatic 3 door) 1996 UK NA EP91 (Manual 5 door) 1996 UK NA EP91 (Automatic 5 door) 1996 Glanza V (Manual) 1996 Glanza V (Automatic) 1996 Glanza S (Manual) 1996 Glanza S

Told ya. ;) You know it makes sense!
-
Its not really dangerous unless it means you end up hitting fuel cut or severley over boost, getting a new stiffer actuator or a decent boost controller will help.
-
I'd say its exactly what you think, you're getting close to fuel cut and the engine management light comes on just before to warn you.
-
Good idea Idrees, I have a cusco one from an ep82 fitted to my glanza with abs without having to do any modifications: Its not on quite straight because its bloody awkward to fit but works fine.
-
As above there are different one's for the ep82 and ep91, however both will fit, I have the ep82 version fitted to my glanza with abs, its just awkward to get in place.
-
Good to see it all working again, was a bit hard to navigate without the side panel!
-
True but I did also have oil spraying onto the mani, really it will be fine mate.
-
I wouldn't worry about it, it'll burn off as said, I had lots of oil dripping onto my decat (3 litres in as many days ) and the cars still here!
-
5 and a half, the other 2 and half will have to walk. I randomly found this on google and have not got a clue what its about!? :P
-
Some awesome photos mate, all the cars look very nice at that meet. Si's is looking particularly awesome.
-
Yes, if its leaking from there then its pretty clear its gone.
