Where Is Knock Sensor Located On Gt?
WallaceGlanza replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Electronics
It is a big blue wire coming from the injector loom, its also insulated all the way down so it doesnt get affected by noise: -

I think so but can't be sure, I think the wire comes from the injector loom. -

Its normally attached to the bulkhead - a lil black plug, you can see it at the top left here: It reads the Manifold Absolute Pressure and controls the fuelling depending on the boost it see's without it the car will run shit and not fuel right. -

Back of the block bit hard to check as you can hardly see it with the inlet mani fitted. Its a square plug though. -
A true hybrid is one which uses a number of turbo's in its construction to make one turbo, the one's for the starlets which are described as hybrids are actually just hi flow turbos. But anyway the one's available for our cars generally have a larger compressor wheel fitted and the compressor intake is bored out, this means that at the same boost levels the turbo will push out more air and hence make more power, some will also have a thicker/stronger shaft to cope with higher boost levels and cut back turbine wheels to aid the turbo spool up. For specific possible outputs from the various hy

Just get one for a UK EP91 Starlet from any motorfactors as they don't have aircon.
-
Mine were cheaper but are sold so Unless you're paying him in kind?
-
Yeah but cuscos are much better:p Nah mine are sold anyway, and the new D2's seem to be better than the hard old one's.
-
Yes they'll fit..... however I can't believe you're getting D2's when you turned down my cusco's for less.
-
Yeah a lower arm from an na should fit, you can also buy new one's from tm-developments and their not too expensive, I knw there is a difference in the bush size on the lower arms between the gt's and glanza's but thats only a worry when replacing the actual bush.

Crunchy Pedal Feel When Driving Slowly (less Than 10mph)
WallaceGlanza replied to joe-ep91's topic in Braking
Never heard of that before, check that the master cylinder is ok and get someone to pump the brakes whilst you check it, sounds a bit random your problem.... -
My first thoughts would be on an engie mount too, I guess you've sat with the car running and tried to get it to make the sounds so you can try to find it? I'd expect there must be something loose somewhere its just a case of tracking it down.

Yet Another Clutch Problem! :-(
WallaceGlanza replied to joe-ep91's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
You could also try adjusting the biting point of the clutch by adjusting the pedal, its simple to do, stick your head down in the footwell you'll see a bolt on the clutch pedal which you can adjust, yu just loosen the nut there then thread the bar to move the bite up or down. It sounds like the clutch is slipping or not disengaging preoperly but since its just when pulling away it could be the release bearing. -

Did you fit a new release bearing with the clutch? Were any of the gears crunchy before this? -
Glanza Exhaust----n/a Exhaust The Same?
WallaceGlanza replied to myatt!!!'s topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Silencers don't do anything to the emissions, if you have the cat then you don't need a new exhaust you just need it fitted, which I'm assuming it is. If it fails with the cat in then there's another problem. -
Woah nice going doing that well on your first outing in it, I love how it looks!
-
You shouldn't be hitting fuel cut if it has an fcd, but you shouldn't have/need an fcd with just those mods anyway, you may actually be running lean. As I said get a decent boost gauge so you can see what boost it's running.
-
Yes, with the hks kits they come with a t piece which you can then keep the stock setup with.
-
Is that not the price just for the boots? He's needing the whole cv joint - if thats the price for them then thats cheap!

It needs to be a landscape photo for the calendar mate.

Knocking And General Wierdness From Front N/s
WallaceGlanza replied to SooperD's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Yeah get the track rod end changed and see how it is after that, you can get blueprint one's for a good price off Ricky@Japmad on tgtt or Dave (TM Developments) on here, they're only about 15 quid. -
I don't know if it would quite reach where you want it to go? Its just as easy to make your own kit as stated above with a couple of bits of samco and a pipe between them.

What kind of clutch is it, its not just because it needs a little more revs to pull away?
