Need a bit more information than that mate; whats controlling the boost (or not as it may be) whats your setup, when does it do this...
-
C's shifter is the other "proper" make. SPS and TC also sold ones.
-
I was going to say that benv isn't the only one with a set anyway.... http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....c=20617&hl=

205 as it states on the vin plate.

Thanks a lot mate, its certainly given me a lot of trouble but is coming on nicely now. I've updated the start of the thread as I had forgot all the pictures had gone due to shitty putfile. Cheers bud, yeah its not too shabby now. -
You could've checked the tutorial section.... http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=15783

My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror

Thanks for all the comments guys. They did increase the vibration on idle when initially fitted but they've bedded in a bit more now and I don't really notice any vibration at idle now but I am used to the cr being pretty stiff and rattley anyway! -
I like how there is even a burberry umbrella sneaking into the photo! I think this is the same one here.... http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=3937700102

My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror

Cheers, yeah there's not really much more to do in the suspension department so I guess its time for some more power! The roads are great up that way but as I said I need to preoperly and safely see where the cars limits are to make the most of it. I'd definately give the bc's the thumbs up, I'd say they're as good as the cusco's but with the benefit of the better damping adjustment certainly on the softer side anyway, I'm not sure if they would go quite as stiff as the cuscos could but they're certainly stiff enough. Its pretty good now yeah, very responsive anyway but I need a bit more time to get properly used to what it can do. 15 at the front seems perfect but I'm still playing with the rears, it seemed a bit stiff and bouncy at the back over 10 but as I said I'm still playing about. -
My Troublesome Turbocharged Terror

Update time! I'd been stockpiling a few parts to help further improve the handling of my glanza recently and finally got it fitted over the last few weeks, the first lot to go on was this pile comprising a Whiteline 22mm front arb with the poly bushes and drop links, Powerflex engine mount bush kit, Super Pro polyurethene lower arm bushes and some new ball joints and track rod ends; With that lot fitted the car felt much tighter overall, the big obvious difference was from the engine mounts giving an increase in vibrations and much more feel as expected, the exhaust note also changed which I didn't expect though. The thicker front arb and poly bushes have really tightened up the front end too with the turn in and direction changes being much sharper. Next I decided to change the Cusco coilovers (a decision not taken lightly), I really liked them and they did offer amazing handling on the right roads but the damping was just a little too stiff for the bouncy back roads I drive on, so I decided to get a nice new set of the BC Racing BR Type coilovers: These have the same spring rates as the Cusco's but a much wider range of damping adjustment and are more suited to road use. So I fitted these then took it off to get the tracking done (and the new rod ends fited) before I could let them bed in and see how they handled (with the addition of some new tires in the shape of 4 new Yokohama Parada Spec II's aswell); The first impressions with the BC's was that the damping was definately softer than the Cusco's on the lower settings - too soft as the tires were hitting the arches frequently. With the suspension raised slightly and the damping set at the middle on the front the car started to handle very nicely absorbing bumps much better as I'd hoped. The springs are still settling though as the rear is much lower than when first fitted and the fronts have a slight difference in height. With all the new handling bits on the nice thing to do would be to go for a drive on some good roads - so I did. I took a trip upto the highlands of Scotland last week and the car was quite enjoyable up there, and the scenary wasn't bad either; Some fine tuning of the suspension settings is still needed aswell as some track time to properly get used to the limits of the cars abilities, as basically I'm too scared to really see how quick it can go round corners on the road! -
Looks great mate, glad you're getting it all sorted, take it easy with the high boost until you have the fuelling sorted though.
-
They're more expensive because they have the abs ring on them and come with new bearings - normally.
-
If your problem is the lack of spriral cable then this is what I plan to do. Use the metal ring which normally comes with a boss kit and has a wire coming off it that connects to the horn button, fit that as normal set it up like a car without a spiral cable - they normally use the metal contact ring and a strip of metal which contacts against the ring at one point and will always be in contact as the wheel turns. So simply cut the original horn wire and solder it to a contact strip of metal and mount it so it touches the ring on the boss kit but make sure this isn't earthed against anything or the horn will always be on! I think that should work....
-
Well the field harness acts as an extension and plugs into the ecu harness meaning you don't cut the actual wires on the car just on the field extension harness. But there isn't a plug and play option.
-
Their not for others eyes. That harness wont be a direct fit, there's no "plug and play" harness for the ep82/ep91. All you want is the main universal harness which will have to be spliced into the ecu loom or into a field harness if you want to buy one of them. After that you want the injector harness and ignition harness so you have the full adjustability possible from the emanage blue. If you're planning on running much over 1bar then you also want the pressure sensor and harness.
-
No, don't think so, the plugs will be different.
-
Do you not keep your msn conversation logs!?
-
Correct, also the drivers side driveshaft is different between the lsd and non lsd gearbox models.
-
I've actually got a similar problem, the wire which connects to the button normally has a spiral cable so it can turn with the wheel but I can't fit the spiral cable. So if I have the wire going to the button it just ends up tangled around the steering column - its very annoying and I'm not sure what t do with it?
-
I know I would but there's something slightly lacking in this one.... http://pistonheads.com/sales/977037.htm
-
Looking good mate, however I'd advise getting the fuelling checked or turn the boost down a little bit as the hybrid will obviously be putting out more air and you could be running lean....
-
Just flush the coolant out with some fresh stuff, it goes brown over time. If there is oil appearing in it after that then start to look for an actual problem.
-
Yes jagstar has done it by wiring it upto one of the reverse lights and then tinting the lense red I think. Most people (me included) just fit a dual fillament bulb into the bottom set of lights on the drivers side (or both) main cluster and wire the switch into that.
