  1. If you have any sort of exhaust or air filter upgrade it will make the turbo breathe easier basically and increase the boost it runs.
  2. I reacon it muct have a jam actuator too if you're boosting 1 bar. Running that much boost isn't really a good idea on the stock mani and stock intercooler, and especially with no fuelling mods.
  3. Dude its called a joke!
  4. Sorry to say but its probably because its a cheap gauge and its broken. It could be the sensor or gauge itself. 7 bar is pretty high anyway so its sounds likeits reading completely wrong, its not going to do the engine any damage either.
  5. Can't wait to see the final results of this turbo. As I've already said I think it will suit my setup perfectly, I love the low spool! I look forward to seeing athena fully track prep'd too.
  6. It certainly won't be massive! The gain will be marginal, your more likely to notice the difference becuase of the reduced weight.
  7. Yeah the fuel regulator will be sufficient but you need it setup and the fuelling checked using a wideband on a rolling road, the fuel rail does nothing except look pretty...
  8. Yup a JAM FCC,means the fuel cut limit is raised however to be safe you could still do with some form of after market fuelling if you're running over the original fuel cut level (12.5psi ish).
  9. Thats higher than standard. Boost is 0.4bar on lo and 0.6bar on hi. Oil pressure is about 4.5 -5bar on cold idle, 1.5bar hot idle, 3-4 bar wot. But will vary depending on the oil. EGT no idea for a standard setup but generally the max you ever want to see is around 700 degrees c.
  10. I've only been pulled over twice in over 3 years of owning my glanza. Once because I had the number plate in the window just after I'd fitted my fmic - got a fine for that Then I got pulled because my rear sidelight was shinning white as the red coating had come off the bulb and I hadn't noticed, they also told me my exhaust was too loud and I was speeding but only got done for the bulb.
  11. It costs more even from the same company just because they have to manually process the glanza, my insurance would be 1/3 cheaper on a GT.
  12. Somebody always has to try and start an argument!
  13. I told you that you'll regret buying that.... If its the manifold to turbo studs the you can get some from sheekey.
  14. I actually got it off a guy on tgtt.com who had made a couple for himself. The one that youlinked on ebay is similar actually, if you knew the thread size of the hole where I fitted it you could get one of the right thread to fit there.... but it is awkward to fit it there.
  15. You can get clip type ngk leads off ebay which are blue, although the seller is out of stock at the moment.
  16. But that means you're only paying £16200, what a bargain!
  17. Where were you planning on putting that?! This should help... http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....amp;hl=sandwich
  18. Doesnt look like you drive a glanza though.
  19. I was just over 1 grand at 20 fully comp with elephant. Some people can't seem to get glanza's insured with them though, but mine was down as a glanza.
  20. No because most sellers won't ship overseas, you'll need a contact there to post stuff for you.
  21. If you derestrict it you remove the hi/lo solenoid too. So the way you've done it will be correct.
  22. Yes.
  23. Its a bit awkward, all you need is a big adjustable spanner to do it. But as standard the air box will be in the way to get easy access to where the speedo cable connects to the gearbox. Its easy enough aslong as the speedo cable nut isn't too tight, since its in an awkward place. Edit: It probably wouldn't come with starlet specific distructions or instructions for that matter.
  24. You can get a speedo converter off ebay for £35. That will mean the speedo will be in mph so you stick a sticker over the kph on your original dials, and the mileage will then count up in miles too, plus it derestricts the car (180kph limit as standard). They screw onto the gearbox by removing the cable then arewing the converter in betweeen.
