  1. I went from London to 45 miles from aberdeen. No idea how many miles that was but a good few like. Although I would travel anywhere in UK for a mint sounding car at a decent price.
  2. is it ok to loosen off the pre load? As I thought you're better off leaving that alone?
  3. Seems to be a few of these kind of threads popping up recently. It makes it look like this site is for the sole purpose of the people that get into trouble on tgtt and want to bitch. This site has it's own merits and I don't think threads like these help keep the friendly atmosphere that this site has.
  4. oh dear bud!: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m19b0s1304p4226
  5. It fits different bud, oppersite way around really. But no other pics, was terrible weather to take pcs yesterday, was lucky to get one in the conditions really. But it was only like £100 delivered at best new.
  6. should be the same
  7. No come back from the person who built it at all? Or the person who sold it? Thats a disgrace though, just a shit deal that you have to loose out financially due to someone else's incompetance.
  8. Little update, got the knocking sorted out, well a mate did lol And he also fitted my ultra racing rear arb and trd rear beam bushes: No pic of the bushes though, bit of a hard place to get pics just now!
  9. Mine got blocked as well, I answered all their questions they said for security, then they kept on adding more questions and hoops to jump through, I told them to fuck off. Registered with another email address and credit card, sorted.
  10. Any thing fake like carbon fibre or dump valves etc etc shopping lists Big alloys on small cars Silly loud or big exhausts Sunstrips Flamers Massive sound setups, amps, subs etc etc Body kits Stupid spoilers Duck spoilers Ditch finder tyres Neons in any location Rust and badly maintained cars Anything that screams look at me that isn['t there for a performance purpose
  11. Sorry to hear that bud. But on the bright side the dog's ok from what you said and it's only money.
  12. same principle if you're planning on keeping it injection. Although I am unsure on where the injectors are in these engines, the head or inlet. But still same principle, just if it's in inlet, need to make the new inlet with ports for them etc etc. If you plan on junking injection, would need to drop fuel pressure, and also get some spark only management of some form as the carbs will do the fueling.
  13. I assume when people run bike carbs they remove all the emulsion tubes or that kind of junk that comes with carbs?
  14. I think starlets aren't that easy to insure all things considered. Although phoning around helps, tell the other companies the quotes you got and let them beat it, will knock a good bit off. I got mine down from 1.4k first quote to 800 in the end. Was different companies though. Although that being said this year flux are doing it for 590 fc all mods declared which is not bad at all.
  15. DB is in braintree area, think thats semi close to you.
  16. I totally understand where you're coming from but it's worth it in my opinion. Try building a car yourself to that spec and see how much it costs you. Mines cost me like 3 times that and it's not as powerful.
  17. Sell you mine if the right offer came along
  18. I disagree with you guys there. It's only harsh if people keep asking for common questions that get asked everyday. As to answer those kind of questions you can do a search. And if you're to lazy to search for an answer then can't really complain. There is less banter though, but on a technical level it's great, and thats what I look for in an owners club.
  19. Must be something to do with the Aberdeen air but I thought the same thing! lol But hope the dog gets better soon, I know how it can upset folks.
  20. rules are rules. They are there to protect buyers as much as possible.
  21. Not a problem bud, hope it does help!
  22. Pug/cit are 108 PCD iirc, vauxhalls aren't. So no they won't fit.
  23. yeah would be easy enough. You can swap over cv's without removing the shaft from the box, but it would be awkward for sure I'd guess. All you need to do to remove the outer cv is remove/move the boot, then batter away with a hammer, make sure you do it evenly though as there is a circlip that holds them in, I thought I had posted a guide on here about me doing mine. If not definately in my car thread is pics.
  24. Nah not that I know of, seen a few glanza's though, but not a regular spotting.
  25. I hate when sellers don't even make an attempt to protect what they are sending. The guy is sounding a bit cowboy though tbh, although hopefully they come online and give their side of the story.
