Regardless of what countermeasures you put in, if they want it they'll take it regardless. But you have to remember, its an old starlet. They'll not go to any great lengths unless its something rare/special.

A kill switch in the main power feed to the starter motor is a good start. Or you can buy a basic immobiliser kit off ebay, its not much but better than nothing.

It has and you know it has. It usually gets locked/deleted.

I've recently bought a kit off WEPR, had fitment issues. And being at the other side of the world, getting these issues rectified isn't a two minute job. Take into account the silly shipping prices, the extensive lead times. This is what makes them too far away. Don't get me wrong, the kit looks amazing and does the job well. But when you spend £600+ on a kit and still have to get the thing altered and fit for purpose. That's what's annoying, its a genuine issue. Not out to get anyone. But as you know, any negative feedback these days always gets hidden.

Do tell me. Where have I been out to 'get' WEPR again? Up to the point of owning one of WEPR's kits i was quite fond of their work. You like to jump on anyone who actually had an honest opinion. What's the deal with that? Don't like the truth?

Found a local guy who will make one and the quality is a work of art. WEPR is just too far away.

It usually tells you if it's PD compatible. Lots of people get away with normal fully synth. It may be just a myth but some swear by it.

DMF's are pants on any car. And if its been to a regular garage, most will put the usual 10w40 semi in. And there are specific oils rated for use in PD engines. Otherwise the camshaft bearings can suffer excessive wear.

Id go for WEPR. The quality of the welds is second to none. The only thing Racetech has in their favour is theyre UK based

Standard GT Turbo exhaust system in very good condition, only surface corrosion. Flexi in perfect condition. Backbox also in good condition.

You're gonna get haters regardless of what car it is. But the truth of the matter is they're good cars. However, make sure its got full service history and has only had PD specific oil throughout its life. I had a PD100 fabia a few years ago and it was a cracking little car. I'd have kept it if I hadnt found it to be accident damaged. Also worth considering the Ibiza and polo with the same engine.

Perhaps a Fabia VRS? Nice quick cars, good on fuel and easy to tune.

Corolla T Sport, available in 5 door, nippy, more reliable than the compressor. And good on fuel. I regularly saw 420 miles to a tank in mine.
