    It's doing what its designed to do, expelling excess coolant due to thermal expansion. If it's boiling the fluid thats when you have issues.

    If thats the case, its more than likely a worn selector/gear itself. A worn synchro will only make changes a little hard, not cause it to drop the gear itself.

    Check your oil level, any excess movement in the engine mounts?

    Quite easily, just measure the bush and compare it to some on powerflex website.

    Hence why I suggested a fabricator. A straight through pipe from the cat to the axle wont be expensive.
