  1. Finally able to get photos sorted. I’m mounting the oil cooler in the drivers side wheel arch. The plate will bolt into the arch. Just waiting on the oil cooler and metal bar to arrive so I can measure up and drill the holes to mount it and then weld it all up
  2. Started work on the framework for the oil cooler this evening. However Imgur has shat itself it would seem so I’m unable to upload any photos.
  3. There will be plenty to update! I shall be forging the bottom end and upgrading the head as well
  4. Cheers! Need to get the front anti roll bar off and wire wheel it before painting and fitting a pair of bushes. Then it’ll be waiting for the oil cooler to arrive. Need to get a tube notcher and arch roller in the next couple of months as I need to make a new front end for it and I definitely need to flare the arches! I shall be respraying the car so I can be pretty aggressive with the flare, want to get it as low as I can.
  5. Cheers for that. The welding isn’t the best, unfortunately I’m not a fabricator by trade so I just don’t get enough time behind the torch. But I’ll give anything a go
  6. So that’s where the car currently stands. I have an oil cooler turning up at some stage and will need to order the power steering cooler. I’m aiming to put both of these in each front wheel arch. Getting as much as I can done before ordering up the GT30 and fabricating the downpipe and intercooler pipework. Then it’s time to pull the engine and tube frame the front end.
  7. Holes in the boot lid had to be filled. And a random assortment of other photos of bits and bobs. Some serious lock without grinding back the original knuckles and without the track rods Catch can lines The Partsshopmax knuckles have a 25mm true drop at the coilover. This is its current rear end height on skates. I shall be keeping a fair amount of reverse rake on it so the back digs down when you’re on the power. Swapping all the bulbs to LED The z32 maf does not fit on the Apex’i filter so I had to make an adapter. Just some flat aluminium from the metal p
  8. Had to make up a frame for the rear number plate lights Needed to attach the number plate to the front bumper. I’m not keen on making holes in a good Japanese bodykits that aren’t hidden. So I made a sturdy stainless frame for it
  9. Race spec cam cover with AN10 fittings. I made a catch can to fit onto the radiator framework. I found a company that makes some very fancy looking cam cover bolt kits. But I’m tight and had some aluminium in stock so I made my own
  10. Machined some back purge adapters to purge stainless pipework. Purge adapters, screamer pipe, wastegate adapter: Made up an earth/purge block/heat sink
  11. With the larger alloy radiator I decided to bin off the viscous fan in favour of a twin electric fan setup. These are 10” or 12” 80w fans. Having tested them they had the power to suck the lathe, pillar drill and welders into a new dimension that opened up in the middle of the garage. After gaining my tooling back I decided these would provide sufficient cooling when there is a lack of airflow through the car. So the fan Mitto kindly donated to me from some D1 car in Japan now sits on my wall. Some photos of the fabrication work and machining I carried out I used some delrin to
  12. Some old photos of bits I previously did when I first got the car
  13. 14. So I’ve had my S14a since 2012, did a bit of work to it and crashed it in 2014. I originally set out to tidy the thing up and bring it back out. However four years later I’ve ended up in a full scale rebuild. I’ve got a thread on Driftworks I’ve just started to update but I shall keep this one updated more no doubt. So I’ll do a run down of the current spec and then it’ll be a picture heavy post of the original car and then how it is to date.
  15. Yeh not a bad spec for something I was never intending on going quite that far with! Plenty more I’d like but unfortunately the Silvia is in that seat at the minute so for now I’ll settle for a new ECU so I can fit some bigger injectors

  17. So spec list of this thing to date isn't bad at all. Bit of custom work I've done myself, which I'm pretty happy with considering I'm just someone in a garage with a few tools. I'm also working on a Silvia still which has a lot more of my own fabrication for. I have a build thread on driftworks that I've just started updating though I may well put it on here if there's a place for other cars? So far it's running: TD04 turbo (in need of a rebuild) Racetech TD04 externally gated manifold/screamer/downpipe Race spec cam cover in Pinkstyle colour scheme and custom catch can
  18. Not much has happened since the last update on here. Got some 420cc Subaru injectors as I'm fed up with the car running lean at times and massively over fuelling. Naturally the standard ECU couldn't trim out enough, though it did sit at a constant AFR. Looks like it'll be time to change it so that's a shame. Currently looking at an ME221, they seem to tick all the boxes but they don't have loads of features I shall never use. Plus you can load on a base map and auto tune it. I have wideband so I think I'll try and live map it as a friend of mine has a Tomei reytec he has had to tune himself an
  19. How are you getting on with it? I'm after an ME221 as it seems to be an excellent choice for the money.
  20. I didn't change mine. I changed all of them to error free LED and then soldered in load resistors. They work absolutely fine.
  21. Seems odd as I got an order number through and I got a reply after I’d ordered it and asked when I could expect it. After that I heard nothing. I paid with PayPal and raised a dispute so now it’s a waiting game until I get the money back. No one is that stupid to think someone would just let £200 slide and cut their losses surely?
  22. Don’t even bother ordering from them. I ordered a mid spoiler from them 6 weeks ago. Got all the order confirmation from them and they replied to my email stating it would be shipped by the end of that week. Since then I have requested updates a good few times and have been completely ignored. Crap service and crap communication. Will be putting in a paypal dispute at the end of next week when I get time
  23. Anyone know what the deal is with them? Ordered a mid spoiler and after asking I was told it would be dispatched at the end of that week. That was 6 weeks ago now and after numerous emails and voicemails as the phone doesn’t even ring I still haven’t heard anything.
  24. Nice one just what I was after. Can’t afford to go down the tuning route with them just yet but that’s the next piece of the puzzle that I can think is causing my fuelling issues.
