Glanza, CT9, JAM ecu = way too rich on full boost
whitestar replied to whitestar's topic in Ignition & Fueling
On full boost it might be even 10.0 when driving like 120-140kmh And my boost is already at 1bar -
So my JAM ecu fuels the setup too rich with ported stock mani and stock CT9 (decat too). I have also FMIC. What can be done to adjust the fueling to be spot on? I have AEM wideband so I'm able to monitor the mixture all the time. I think it runs so rich that it makes me lose fair amount of power. Better flowing turbo might correct the situation a bit, but can't do it quite yet as hybrids may cost a fair amount of money...

Crooks stanced now going for big power build

Yeah that's what I like man, don't judge. ;) lol -
I need those harnesses so bad! Which ones they are?

That's pure sex, dude. -
Oooofff that looks sexy! I once played with idea of getting these in 16, but didn't go that route. My arches are in perfect conditon so don't want to ruin them Anyway, love those wheels an I think you should paint then in some colour. ;) Where did you buy them and how much?

Mine has efi pipe still there. Airbox might be a bit tight fit but dunno for sure.

And a great kit! Fits perfect! Highly recommended.

I got this for my glanza as it's a bit smaller than HDI type coolers and it has the short route piping! Had to trim the bumper, but not too bad! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-STARLET-EP82-EP91-INTERCOOLER-KIT-/121114457615?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c32fbf60f Looks like this:

I have interest on the mani too! PM me if you're willing to split and post to finland.

Hahaha looks awesome but that thing must be scraping like hell! Scraped mine few times today, only had two mates on board, I hate the speed bumps! I've noticed that turbo chatter catches attention quite well. -
This is pretty cool too.

What turbos have people ran with JAM or similar ECUs?
whitestar replied to whitestar's topic in Electronics
Yeah I have AEM Uego AFR gauge. I'll have to think what to do. -

The only question is can I use TF035 with Jam ecu? I don't have anything to map right now. -
Not sure which wheels I prefer, both are nice! Played with a thought of olive green slips on mine but didn't go that way in the end. Would have looked great in my opinion.

That's ok, mornings can be tough. ;)

Well, the power loss means the loss in between fly and wheels, so I don't think my transmission has anything to do with my fly output. :/
-
Blitz supersound bov, but it's screwed so tight I barely ever hear it go choo. Chatter all the time, bro...
-
Yup, it's 124 from the wheel. In the graph: orange on top is torque, red is at the fly, blue is at the wheels, pink is boost and green is power loss.

I'm planning to upgrade my turbo from ct9b to a better flowing one. I've heard people using hybrids, k1-200v and td04 with plug&plays, but are there any experiences with other turbos? I'd like to try something different than the usual ones, but don't wanna be the first pioneer here. Fast spool time is essential for me. I've heard good about holset turbos, but they might be too big for 4E?

No I haven't. Propably I should take it to some workshop that could check those....Although it runs just fine and feels quite fast, even compared to my mates jap spec s2000 honda! I have to hop into JayJ's ride when he gets all his parts fitted to compare how it should feel. I still think it might be that it's running too rich so it loses power or then the dyno is piece of shit.

This is ace! I wanted the same rotas at some point. Are they ET10? Have you rolled the arches?
