  1. *** Update *** Well its only a small update in terms of pictures but a few items are currently under development and will soon be in production. Thought i would finish off the fuel system with the final piece to the puzzle. Tuesday the Glycerine Filled fuel pressure gauge arrived. Should look really nice in the engine bay with the rest of the shiney parts ;) Thread is on the back so mounts directly to the Regulator....... front........... Then wednesday some more green arrived Been looking at these for ages on ebay but decided to just buy them! They are for a mr2 and although i think they would look a bit strange in one they should look great in the buggy with all the other green bits. I just feel sorry for the Lime green cow that had to die for these......... Gear and handbrake gaitor....... Here is the colour match next to the 'Viper Green' im using for the main body pieces, not a million miles off...... I have drawn up the cad files for the gear change cables and they have been packaged up with the original MR2 cables and are getting sent out tomorrow morning to have the new cables made up. Im hoping these cables get there early next week and the company should hopefully have them back to me by the beginning of next week if im lucky. These are highyly flexible and should easily be able to bend around the engine and still work just like they should. I have also emailed Hel who make custom braided clutch/brake lines and hopefully should have a custom braided clutch line being made shortly. Will go straight from the master cylinder straight down the centre of the buggy to the gearbox without any junctions or T pieces, oh and it will hopefully be Lime green in colour also. Not that much of it will be seen but may as well keep the bright green theme going. I have also been up to JDModified and have gone through the suspension system on the back and will hopefully see this get done at some point this month. James wasn't really well and it looked like he has a LOAD of work on so im not going to pressure him about it and i know he will do it justice. Plan next month is to take 2-3 days off work and help with getting the engine side of things wired in, meaning in theory the key could be turned and the engine started. Although there won't be a cooling system installed, hence why i said in theory it could be started Jason
  2. Your right near to me aint you? Im not fussed where we meet but i should be there again
  3. Oh, go on then i will have Team Mean the things i do for you sparkster Think i need to get LukeEP to make me some team mean vinyl
  4. Looking good Steve. Like sparkster says. get the bonnet mopped and it will probably match the scoop. Everyone is going to have their own team now then Im team Green
  5. Thanks guys, will just add another port to the top and add a breather then as im not forking out on another catch can Fuel rail is a 'Race Tech' built one, although to be honest im not happy with it and its needing work to get it to fit properly
  6. Evening All, Now i know this has been covered sooooooooooooo many times before and yes i have done a few search's and it still leaves me confused! Now i have a 'Race Spec' rocker cover with AN6 fittings welded directly to the rocker cover so don't have the standard pcv valve. I have a custom made catch can that has 2 AN6 fittings on top and a drain on the bottom so i can drain out the oil if it ever fills up. Rocker cover....... Catch can before it got welded.......... Now my question refers to the point that the PCV valve gets removed and the pipework route is changed and does not feed the oil vapours into the inlet anymore. They sell one way 'check valves' on ebay and i could add one of these into the catch can line so that it acts as a one way valve but is it worth it? Im sure i will be fine just running the hoses straight to the catch can and back wont i? These are the one way valves on egay..........valve What do people think??? Thanks all, Jason
  7. Nice to see this still coming along well Steve Keep up the good work mate i love this GT
  8. Looking good Socks Know what you mean about being ill and still working on the car After my op i was meant to be resting up and letting my chest heal, found a little time to fit some poly engine mounts though.... took me about 2 hours to do 5 minutes work though!
  9. *** Update *** Well i got back from Devon yesterday and was completely shattered and after a terrible nights sleep i woke up this morning feeling a bit poo! Despite this i dragged my ass out of bed at 7am and got over to do some work on the buggy. I got up there after a quick stop at B&Q for another piece of steel bar and started. James and Lee @ JDModified regretably couldn't finish my fuel system as there was a problem with my Race Tech fuel rail basically the fixing tabs are slightly in the wrong position and this means that the injectors sit at a funny angle and not square like they should. This means that the fuel will either leak around the seal or dribble into the block rather than a clean spray The quick fix would be to elongate the holes and hope i can bodge the bracket to fit with the bolts but im not happy doing this. We have decided that the best option is to remove the fuel rail and remove the brackets and then remake them in the correct place. Also while we are at it we are going to rotate the fuel rail round 180' so that the centre return is coming up rather than down as it fouls on the inlet manifold when thats fitted. Here are the pictures of the almost finished fuel system......... with the inlet manifold removed, you can see the centre fuel return here and i think it will work better coming off the top as it will have a clearer path. you can't really see it here but the injectors sit at a weird angle........... FPR fitted to the frame......... From the fuel cell........ Fuel system needs a little more work but its almost there and won't be long before its done While i was there i got the passenger seat rails cut to size and welded to the frame and the seat fitted into place. All needs more welding but the whole frame needs going over when its broken down for paint so i will do it then when its back in pieces. Looks so much better with 2 seats in there. I also managed to start adding a few waterproof wiring connectors but then ran out of time Doesn't look like i did much but im really happy i got done what i did even though i felt like poo. I have given James the go ahead to finish the fuel system and start with the rear coilover setup which hopefully should get done this month. With the engine being wired up next month and in theory it could be started up, if it had a cooling system lol Will update again when i have news, hopefully have the gear cables in production this coming month........ hell yes! Jason
  10. Yep this place is awsome I have been welcomed here even though technically my starlet parts are more 'brum on steriods' than Toyota Starlet.........Hope Steve GT isn't drinking when he reads that quote as he WILL spit his drink everywhere! Anyway, UKSC is awsome! Oh, and i will be back for more vinyl soon Luke, just need to make some panels so i have room for them
  11. Still lots to do but the main parts are.......... Fuel system, this should now be done Will find out tomorrow when im up there. Wire up engine make interior/light wiring loom from scratch get driveshafts made design/create/weld rear suspension setup brake lines clutch line make a nosecone fron scratch make 2 more arch's mount all arch's mount other seat panels paint powdercoat etc etc etc ..............list is alot longer than this!!!!!! No sunday update as i have been down in Devon for a week But don't worry Steve things have been in the pipeline while i was away. I had a phonecall from TGT on friday while i was on my way down to Devon to ask where my fuel system parts where stored so sounds like they are doing that, shouldn't of taken long so it should actually be done (find out tomorrow). Also just before i went away i was in contact with a company that make custom made gear cables and they will shortly be making my custom cables and uprated fixings. While i was chilling in the hot tub in Devon i managed to read a little of the IVA manual also Oh and i have been paid so a few parts will be on the way soon. I should really just stop the parts for the moment and get the parts done so i can move the buggy but a few little parts won't be too bad. Now do i get the wiring for the engine done first or should i do the rear suspension? These are the last 2 things before i take the buggy back and finish it off myself. Apart from the mapping next year Jason
  12. Im in Did anyone actually get any pictures of the meet?
  13. I didn't but i believe Steed took a few
  14. Great to meet you guys, sorry if i didn't speak to everyone. Good little meet that though Was surprised at how many Glanza's there where, but not one GT ;) Felt a bit left out not having a Glanza. Hopefully next year i will be able to bring along my 'parts of a glanza/gt' Would be awsome if we made this a regular thing. Might be worth swapping locations around a bit, i didn't really have to travel far but i know some others had quite a drive to get there! Jason ;)
  15. I think we need more South meets! If this ones any good then we will do another im sure, might be worth doing a regular thing if people are up for it?
  16. Im sure they will be fine as like you say a few will buy drinks etc. The only problem i can see is that space is limited, at the worst case when everyone has arrived we can move onto the new forest somewhere
  17. im also still in for this. As said before i don't know what the Vine pub will be like with us all doing a meet in their carpark. At the worst case we can move onto somewhere else.
  18. Thanks Luke Got plans to get it into JAE next year as a Support vehicle! If i have a roof box/rear storage etc then technically it has more storage room than a glanza/gt so is a support vehicle
  19. *** Update *** Well got up to TGT yesterday and the plan was to start the wiring for the passenger compartment. However when i got there i changed my mind and decided to just get the drivers seat fitted. Was a bit of a work up as i had to keep roughly putting the rails in and checking they where going to work then move them etc. Anyway, after a little while i got the new seat bars welded to the chassis.... There are some metal bars under the seat that run front to back and these just simple weld to the above bars. I was going to do the seat adjustable but im not tall and i have the seat fully back so didn't think it would be worth having it move. Then got the seat tacked into place..... Then started to look at the wiring, got the fuse and relay box fitted to the front and started by identifying what wires where what from the ignition/indicator stalk connectors. James has also ordered up the sexy braided fuel line and AN6 earls fitting that im using for the fuel system. Came to £200 with a large discount as well These things aint cheap but should look awsome when thats all done, hopefully next few weeks he should have that finished. Had a chat with James and we have agreed that he will do a couple more jobs and i will be moving the Buggy to my work's workshop. He will be finishing off the fuel system, welding the rear coilover mounts and wire up the engine to start. We where in agreement from the start that i would get him to do all the jobs that i couldn't do and i would do what i could to keep the costs down. Its almost at the point where i can do the majority of parts myself, and having it closer to home means i can work on it a LOT more. Its currently a 40 mile journey to TGT and i can only work on the buggy every other saturday. Moving it means i will be able to do before work/lunch break/saturday/sunday and bank holidays Won't be for a few months yet but when it moves expect the progress to pick up a little. The Buggy will then go back to TGT for the final setup/tweaks/mapping just before the IVA test. James has been a complete legend with regards to this project and i can't thank him enough. Jason
  20. Some flippin sexy parts going into this I love waiting for parts, its like christmas every day! I remember when i came out of hospital in February and had about 2 days of ordering parts then watched them all roll in over the following weeks. I love it when you get a few and think 'what the fuck did i order again' then open them up and your like 'Dam, i remember now! hell yes that looks sexual' Keep up the good work, this is SEX!!!!!
  21. We can always do a meet at ToyotaGT at some point, there in basingstoke. Plus the Demon is currently there so you guys will be among the few that get to see it
  22. Don't look too bad. I quite like the yellow actually and looks nice with the carbon bonnet. .........you could of had a lexus though
  23. I will be there, hopefully in my lex. Im not sure what 'The Vine' will be like with all these cars but if we buy a drink they can't really complain
  24. This is so nice its unreal The work you have put into this iddy is amazing, you have some proper skills with a spray gun. I have sprayed small parts and im alright with that but i don't think i could ever do large parts at that quality. Keep it up dude, looks like its almost there now! Jason
  25. Welcome along mate, your in the right place Jason
