The Offical Request A Signature Thread
jason_l replied to LukeSR's topic in Photoshop & Graphic Design
Oh me, pick me, pick me, over here, me!!!!! Would love a signature done if you have the time! If you follow the link in my signature to my build thread then there are endless amounts of pictures to choose from! Not really fussed what pictures you use so its up to you, any design you fancy and some text like 'Project Deathwish coming soon' or something like that. The more evil the better Many thanks, Jason -
I reckon either keep it red or go carbon fibre! If you get a black bumper then it looks like you have tried to make it look like carbon but on the cheap

This topic went so wrong so quick!

Only problem is i would be looking for a hotel/camping the night before then after the track day as i don't really want to travel much on the day of the track event
-
Seats are white so hides the sex wee stains LOL Camping would be good as i want to keep an eye on the buggy as i don't want people nicking it. This is starting to sound like a great couple of days, i know of several people my way that would be very interested in this! Jason
-
Sorry didn't see the mid may part Its a yes from me at the moment then Although i will confirm when we have further details. I will have to arrange a hotel, van etc as i will be coming all the way from Southampton You can have first passenger ride, although if you shit yourself your cleaning the seat! Jason
-
Either way i win!!! car will handle on rails !!! Any rough idea what time of year your looking at? Jason
-
LOL Won't be anywhere near full power by then, will be relatively standard engine. Although to be honest that will still be stupidly rapid. Will be keeping to a slow pace if i do come along as i want to test the car and get everything fine tuned. Although i do want to see if i can snap the driveshafts or should i say 'TEST' them Plus i can do passenger rides All depends on timing though, if its over summer then it might be feasable!!!! Jason
-
Dam thats a good price! very interested, will all depend on time of year and if i have the buggy built! You looking at some time in Summer??? if so then i will more than likely be able to make it
-
That will be me then
-
Dam im busy, don't have a Starlet but would have been nice to come along and have a little look. Will be up for a meet when the 'demon' is built though, plus its just near Hook that its being built
-
Chance are they aint going to come back for anything else but it just covers your ass if they decide they want another go. They have taken one sat nav from you so they know your going to go out and buy a new one so might come back for that one as well. It may mean that they drive round to the address you have stored as your home but keeps them away from you!
-
Sorry to hear this Mate, bloody hate theiving chav's. On another Note, what we do with the several Sat navs we have is program our Home address for a couple of roads away. That way if they do get stolen and they decide to check your house out or come back for the rest of your car they get sent somewhere else!

Looks good mate I did Barkston Heath in the lexus last year and loved it to bits, ideally suited for a small car though as its almost a go kart track That was the day that i decided to go for the starlet engine into the buggy in fact, After seeing Bazza's little GT rocket about. Keep the updates and pictures coming and good luck with the rest of the TSS. Jason
-
Not that its really similar but i have removed the power steering from mine as there is no point and mine is all about being as light as possible. The unit itself is pretty heavy and as the car is designed not to use it then i ripped it out. Obviously the aircon is also pointless in mine

Camo Vinyl roof sounds great!
-
LOL Love it! Themed stuff always looks pretty cool but im always worried to go ahead and do it. Gear knob looks great. I think you need to insytal some NOS and have it wired so it comes on when you pull the pin from the grenade WIN!!!!! ;)
-
Luckily the buggy doesn't have much surface area so cheap respray so i can afford a little more on paint. At the moment im thinking about the RS green. The kawasaki ninja green is ok but its been done so many times now, plus i didn't go down the bike engine route so not really that keen in it. Im still contemplating what to have sprayed anyway. Engine rocker will be green and the frame but i was thinking about carbon for the sides, arch's and front. Although i have been thinking about doing the sides from clear perspex so you can see right the way through the car but not too sure on this yet??? Jason
-
I think you may have it! Do you mean the new RS one??? was thinking of the mazda 3 mettalic one but i think the RS version might be the one. I want something 'Off the shelf', so to speak, so that if it does get scratched etc i can touch up the paint from a spray can. Jason
-
LOL its a new trend I won't be going green for a few years yet as i need to make sure i have done all the welding. No point spraying it if im going to be grinding paint off and welding bits, then spraying it again. Jason

Thanks for replies guys Seats do look sweet and they are well comfy also, even though they have no padding Girlfriend looked at them and she wasn't impressed, she said they are going to be well uncomfy. She sat in them and soon changed her mind. They are sort of molded so that they give full support and are the perfect size. Im still going to need some sort of padding though as its going to be a harsh ride Im planning on making some padding though. There is a kit you can buy that consists of foam beads, a tub of resin and a heavy duty bag. You basically mix the resin and beads in the bag and then sit on it for 15 minutes while it sets and you have a fully customized pad. This is what they basically use in the single seater race cars Jason ;)

Need them to get the engine sat properly, most of the wiring (could do this myself but one of the guys at TGT is a electrical wizard so going to leave it to him) exhaust made and bits like that. Plus they are sponsoring me so only fair they do a large chunk of the work. anyway here is the update you (and me) have been waiting for................ *** Update *** I know updates on this slowed off for a little while but its all back on now as i really want this thing done. Went up to TGT yesterday and spoke with James, he was welding the engine mounts in place when i turned up and hopefully engine will be in its final place in a few days. Meaning the next stage will be to get the custom drive shafts made up Had a little talk and im going back to a front mounted radiator, best option really as there is limited room at the back, even though it has been extended. Battery will be getting moved to the rear and a fiat chinqy rad will be used up front as its PERFECT size and should easily be enough to cool it. Chinqy rad will be on order in the next few days. On my way up to TGT yesterday i stopped of at a company called Xsport racing in basingstoke and had a little talk about some custom carbon/fibreglass parts.............watch this space While i was there i borrowed a fibreglass vent and checked the fitment on the buggy. Looks good and will help vent some air to the engine and the oil cooler at the rear. I would have taken some pictures but my camera on my phone was playing up so didn't really have a chance. The second i get home it starts working again!!!! time for a new phone me thinks! Also my new seats arrived, god they are sexual. Custom made in white as black wouldn't be very good in hot weather. These things are mega light, roughly 4.5kg per seat. Can easily be picked up with one finger. Didn't bother with the padding as im intending on making something later. They have mounting points already built into the floor so they just bolt straight in. anyway, Will let the pictures do the talking........ Comments always welcome guys. Jason

If people buy more dial sets i will have more money Im going to tell TGT that i want production to step up on this otherwise i may ship it back home as its pointless being sat there if they don't have the time. Its not their fault as i know how busy they get but no progress is being made. May get it moved back to my work so i can work on it weekends and on lunch breaks. I think they may need to get the engine in first though as i can't really move it till its all sitting correctly. Will add pics tomorrow although i feel that they won't show anything new
-
No Not happy!!!!! im off work now till Thursday next week so they will probably turn up while im off. Sounds good but they are being delivered to my work I need the seats so TGT can weld the supports and mountings in. I did phone TGT and speak to one of the mechanics and it sounds like they haven't done anything to my buggy but i will confirm when im up there tomorrow. As im getting discount on hourly rate then mines not a priority, and to be honest there is no real deadline. It just upsets me as i really really want this thing built and able to drive it! Jason
