  1. It has an airfilter and alloy intake pipe. But swapped them back yesterday and made no difference. Now I'd have thought weak actuator would have issues holding boost no matter what. As it's behaving on low. Unless the diaphragm is torn/degraded and is weeping boost past it and as a result not opening the wastegate. Christ you wouldn't think I design these for a living lol. Maybe HKS is the way to go. And so the modding begins........... Not fiddling lasted all of 1 day lol
  2. Same here I would love to join you guys
  3. Def no FCD ive had the dash off to check. I will look at actuator, its odd that the actuator opens and controls 6Psi fine but cannot handle 9psi?
  4. Yeah sure thing man. Only if I can have some id workz stickers :-p
  5. Yeah I've known the guys for years. That's why I had no quarms buying this.
  6. Yeah belonged to one of the guys who runs target mini in waunarlywdd
  7. It was indeed on eBay. I am not sure what the plans are tbh, for now ARC TMIC, good service and some bucket seats (ideally OEM recaro interior). Long term, as I work for Holset as an aerodynamic engineer I am in a position to match a small MHI product or one of our own to it. Shoot for 200ish bhp with very good transient response :-)
  8. Lewigi off here, it appeared in a Bristol meet thread the other week.
  9. Right then folks, I know its Sunday but its brain picking time lol. I have got a new toy (a V) and its cat back exhaust, stock cat, air filter, stock actuator, stuck ECU, stock everything. On Lo boost its behaving I am getting 6Psi, however on high I am getting 13Psi. Its not fuel cutting, but there is NO FCD (I have looked, ECU has no tabs so can only assume its a stock unit. Booted it on the M4 yesterday and ECU light came on (guessing it picked up knock) as I pulled in turned car off and on and light went away. I have changed back to stock air box today and made no difference (thoug
  10. Many of you will know me, many wont (I had my first Glanza back in 2004) and keep returning to the EP world. Anyway you will have seen my previous thread: http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/75110-project-ep-number-5-oem-glanza/ Which I sold to Lewis off here (and I see its still alive and kicking and looking good down south). Lovely car but I really wanted white with some mods. So after scouring Japan to find a good one (and missing out on several). I was scanning through t'bay one day and came across a nice white V (which was top dollar IMO). (Didnt see this thread until after I
  11. It's compressor stall not surge. Surge is completely different. It's the noise of the air rushin back through the comp side. The turbo is not in surge.
  12. nice car that, I was due to go see it Sunday but had found another :-) Nice to see the Huddersfield group growing!!!
  13. As the title suggests folks, anyone got spare CD player brackets, screws, and coin tray/multi tray they dont need?
  14. I've had one for years. Saves a fortune but a lot of clauses in them
  15. Count me in, add me to the list. I will pay tonight when I get home from work. Also need to join a convoy passing Yorkshire.
  16. I know that car, I always used to see it driving through Gowerton with the old couple in it (when I was back home in Swansea).
  17. Halfords professional kit is good, and ratchet spanners are sent from the gods beleive me. Dont buy a 1/4" drive set as you wont undo f**k all with it as you wont get the leverage, I only use my 1/4" drive stuff for pipe clamps or limited access where ive already cracked the bolt. You want a good 3/8" drive set.

Yeah I did see that one, but I am after something more stock with the aircon intact.
  19. Im in huddersfield if you guys need a hand, pulled an engine or two in my time too :-) (dont tell him but I fitted ChrisS14a's engine to the car lol).
  20. Stock Evo 5-8 turbo. All Evo use TD05 the only difference is the Evo 9 80 series turbo which is slightly bigger than it's predecessors.
