It was indeed on eBay. I am not sure what the plans are tbh, for now ARC TMIC, good service and some bucket seats (ideally OEM recaro interior). Long term, as I work for Holset as an aerodynamic engineer I am in a position to match a small MHI product or one of our own to it. Shoot for 200ish bhp with very good transient response :-)

Right then folks, I know its Sunday but its brain picking time lol. I have got a new toy (a V) and its cat back exhaust, stock cat, air filter, stock actuator, stuck ECU, stock everything. On Lo boost its behaving I am getting 6Psi, however on high I am getting 13Psi. Its not fuel cutting, but there is NO FCD (I have looked, ECU has no tabs so can only assume its a stock unit. Booted it on the M4 yesterday and ECU light came on (guessing it picked up knock) as I pulled in turned car off and on and light went away. I have changed back to stock air box today and made no difference (thought maybe air filter was causing creep). Now I am down to this list: Actuator sticking (but I am getting Lo boost fine). Dodgy factory boost solenoid (again Lo is working fine). Cracked wastegate. Anyone come across this before I start pulling the car apart?

So details details: 1999 V plate 47k kms. 1 UK owner Stock apart from some sort of air filter (dont believe its K&N but it might be). Japspeed exhaust Gmax springs and shocks OEM aero kit. A-tech Scheider 15s. It needs some paint touch ups but other than that, its a clean honest undersealed car. Here are some pics (got busy with the camera this morning back in Huddersfield while the sun was out!!!!!).

It's compressor stall not surge. Surge is completely different. It's the noise of the air rushin back through the comp side. The turbo is not in surge.

Halfords professional kit is good, and ratchet spanners are sent from the gods beleive me. Dont buy a 1/4" drive set as you wont undo f**k all with it as you wont get the leverage, I only use my 1/4" drive stuff for pipe clamps or limited access where ive already cracked the bolt. You want a good 3/8" drive set.

Yeah I did see that one, but I am after something more stock with the aircon intact.

Stock Evo 5-8 turbo. All Evo use TD05 the only difference is the Evo 9 80 series turbo which is slightly bigger than it's predecessors.

The markings are where the black hose is on the left. Should say TD0516G10.5T

Took a while for my turbo timer to arrive, have faith in Mr Socks. Its Royal Snail, he can only post it out.
