  1. The car annoyed the hell out of me sometimes as with all modified cars sometimes they dont work perfect. Before i crashed it couldn't have been running better. I was so chuffed. Even on the way to the crash the strength of the boost was mint as Craig knows . I would have loved for someone to enjoy the engine after me but nevermind. Bourkey
  2. Mark when you hit 1 bar i'll be jealous big time. Mine was booked in for the 4th of April to get it set up. Get that rear shock sorted asap bud . Bourkey
  3. £5.5k on the Black SR. Makes me cry now but i had such a good time and i dont regret it one bit. Bourkey
  4. Just found this on youtube. I love old school dance music. Most new stuff is naff now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGqpbyS3Asw Bourkey
  5. Fuel cut is there for a reason. Get the mods to support the boost and it wont cut. Getting the FCD first is just asking for trouble seriously. Take it off before you damage the car. Also a HKS FCD leans out the fuel/air ratio so unless you have it set up correctly on a rolling road you can damage your engine. Hope this helps Bourkey
  6. I always found boosting problems were always something simple like a pipe or something. Just get your head in the engine bay for a while and have a good look to see what it could be. A fresh set of eyes always helps too. For the worst problem i couldn't fix i got a car electrician out and he sorted it extremely quickly and it was something tiny. Cost me £40 though. Bourkey
  7. Thanks for the comments guys. Here are some more pics anyway. This is what the inside of my arm looks like. The solid white bit down the bone is metal This is what the outside looked liked when they first took my dressing off. And some car parts on Snake pass when i was taken up there. Bourkey
  8. Just thought i'd update my progress as i have not been on in a while and a few people have asked. My lungs are pretty much back to normal although im not allowed to fly for more than 2 hours due to the pressure. That wiil be for about 6 months. I got very ill before an operation so it had to be postponed. What started as a cold got much worse as i don't have much of an immune system and my chest isn't so clever. My arm feels pretty painful most of the time. I had an operation and it took a while for me to recover due to me being very weak and underweight. This means that the doctors haven't t
  9. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. I got one or two cheap parts and they give up pretty easily. The FMIC wasn't a problem but the cheap mani was. Mainly i would want to spend the extra and be reassured it will be good with a warrenty etc. Also one reason for the large prices is that Starlet parts aren't as mass produced as your Civic's etc, as Starlet's are only recently jumped in the market in the past few years. Other cars have been well know and modified for years and so have more parts made for their market. Starlet's/Gt's/Glanza are still fairly rare which is a brilliant th
  10. Just keep at it and you will see an improvement . It wont happen after once or twice. It takes a good few times to see a good difference. Make sure you are using soft cloths aswell. You dont want to make the marks worse. I would but im at hospital again. Another op...oh the joy. I'll ask him if i see him soon though . Bourkey
  11. Why are you called Glanza-Love??? . You clearly have a lot of hate there...(gets pad to jot down...dam right hand doesn't work....copy & paste into word jackpot ) Bourkey
  12. Yeah you have to still apply a good amount of each stage or it wont do much . I've ran out of all my wax/polish/t-cut now. The Civic is much bigger than the SR . Actually i may get my mate to do it. He runs a mobile audio/security business so he has many different types of wire. Then i don't have to do it in like a year when im able again!!! :harhar:. Bourkey
  13. Well i used T-cut as the paint cleaner as it is really tough. Some don't like it but i stick by it. I used a good amount of it and rubbed it in hard. The T-cut is hard to get off so i got as much as i could off and used the polish on top. Then when you buff the polish off it takes the remains of the T-cut off. Then i waxed it up and buffed it to a gorgous shine. The Civic was already well looked after but it has been done anyway just to get it looking new . Yeah that is what i did on the SR. The wires were from a kit in Halfords though. It was a good kit actually except the voltage stabilizer
  14. Trust me keep doing it and the swirls disappear . Rub it hard when you are doing the paint cleaner especially. When the water beads away it is getting a good coating. Get some Rain X on the glass too to give you clear vision. I've always used it as it keeps the windows nice and clear. I may have to do the earthing kit again then. I've seen my earths and they are just as crap as standard Starlet ones. Bourkey
  15. Have you finished claying the car yet? You will be proud of my Civic's paintwork and i know how fussy you are . So was the earthing a good difference then as it did cost you a fair bit. May get one myself...again. Bourkey
  16. Im being pestered by all my mates about this as they have got time off work for it...whoops. My name is staying down but obviously the SR isn't coming now . If im going my other half will be driving my Civic as i doubt i will be fit to drive. 1) Bourkey & Civic Coupe + Girlfriend 2) rob_bower & SR + Missus 3) Craig_N & Glanza S 4) Bluebear & Sportif 5) Sparky & GT + someone tongue.gif lol 6) Starbogt & GT + Wife n Kid 7) BAZ2CRAZY+people Galliano + Galliano + mum 9) Streetracer + "maybe" her. 10) Ben + GlanzaV + Isla (girlfriend) 11) Starlet Nath & SR + Wife 12) G
  17. You would have to do a hell of a lot to get a 4EFTE to blow up. They are extremely robust engines. I've only heard of one rod going through the block. You just have to be careful turning the boost up. Make sure you have the mods to support the boost. Bourkey
  18. Never speed cut ever. As soon as it was ran in i tested it as i wanted to know. Craig's does i think as well and his is n/a. Bourkey
  19. Usually im not for them but they suit your car down to the ground . Bourkey
  20. Same here but 135mph. Had more to go but was a little scary. That was the weekend before i wrapped it up. Ported CT9 boosting at 12psi with mani, exhaust and bare turbo (no filter/mesh). People reckoned it was 180+bhp Bourkey
  21. By any chance did you buy the car from Bolton area as there is a garage that had a few where Craig N got his from. All the plates end in RNE. Im sure i have seen you knocking about Radcliffe. Bourkey
  22. I knew that mani would fall apart. It was so brown with rust last time i saw it. I've got a standard one you can have for free if you are desperate :surrender:. Might have to turn your boost down though as it is dangerous on the standard one. You could blow the 3rd piston. Bin that bit of shite you have . Bourkey
  23. Cheers for your commets bud ;). I've been in it for half a mile but that was as a passenger and it felt really nice and solid to be in. I was always moaning about the little rattles in the Starlet . Get the pics of yours up i want to see what it looks like. I've got a fair few ideas i my head. The wheels i want arent spectacular but they will give it the look im after plus the coilovers too will make it look like a proper street racer!! There is a few facelift bits i want for it but it is finding them here for cheap. I would go scrappy but i am not in a position to go climbing on cars yet ;).
  24. @ Cragle - It will have to wait for the 21st of this month but i most probably take them off you hands . @ Craig - Yeah back to the wooden blocks it will be when the car is slammed . Bourkey
  25. Tut tut. Well at least it will get done eventually . Bourkey
