Update Time!!!!!! Now i've come home from living with my girlfriend for two weeks (her parents were away ) i can put all the photos up from my camera. I'll be putting my JAE ones up in a bit as there are quite a few. Anyway, The SR interior has undergone a nice change. Some of you may have seen it at JAE but if you haven't then here you go. As you can see, i've retrimmed (with the help of Alex) my door cards and the sound system in my boot. It has been done in lovely black alcantara to match the black car (duuuurrrrrrrr). This was all done the night before JAE so we stayed up quite late doing it and put my car back together in the morning. It smelt of clue a bit on the way down but never mind. Im very happy with the finished result and all thats left for the interior is two nice black bucket recliners. Also from the show i got a cool sunstrip, which i think suits my car perfectly. Not bad for a tenner. And here are some good pics when the sun finally came out after all this rain and flooding. Im not gonna be doin much for a short while as im going on holiday in 2 weeks and 6 days so i've been given orders that i must save. Dam!!!

OH YA!!!!

I have just been pulled over big time!!!!!!! I was driving back from my Girlfriends house which is about 1 mile away from my house and i was going about 35. But id been driving her corsa with no power steering all day, so i was a bit swervy going round the first couple of corners because mine obviously has power steering and i had to get used to it again. Then an unmarked dark blue astra came behind me quite close so i went up to about 40 he then started to flash so i pulled in and he pulled in with me. I was wondering what the hell was happening. Then his interior light came on and all i saw were two big guys in plain clothes so i thought i was being car jacked (getting more common in Manchester now). So i locked my doors and booted it away as i was shitting it. I hit 60mph as i was getting away and i pulled onto my drive really quick. He came round the corner onto my close and showed me his badge straight away. I got out shaking and said "Jesus i thought i was being jacked you scared the hell out of me." He asked me if i had been drinking because i was shaking and i hadn't. He said they were about to call for back up as he thought i was a Glanza and his car wasn't gonna keep up but i pulled in to my road so there was no need. He then told me to take it easy a bit and left me shaking like a shitting dog. I've never been so scared in my car ever. I'll hopefully stop shaking sometime tonight

Well yesterday the sun decided to show its face for the entire day with lovely blue sky so i took advantage of this by giving the car a good scrub as it has not been cleaned for nearly a montth. So a good wash and wax made up for it. Here it is practically ready for JAE. There is a few tiny niggles that i have to sort out before JAE but nothing major. I have had to replace a headlight as the bracket was broken and i have to sort the postioning of the exhaust out as ive put a newr system on it and it doesnt sit perfect yet. All secret plans are now coming together very well. All may revealed in near future. Maybe

i have done this at exactly the same place and it was for my birthday aswell. I got to drive a Lamborghini Murcielago. I was told to calm down when i floored it to 120 though It is the best feeling ever!!!

All plans have now changed and are top secret. As for the plates they are from My Show Plates Car is nearly sorted for JAE but i need the flippin sun to come out so i can give it a good wash and wax

Perfect How 2 matey. Sorry but i have one minute problem with it though. The power lead is meant to go down the drivers side and the phone & remote leads down the passenger. The reason for this is the power MUST be on the opposite side to the petrol filler as if you have any problems with it and/or you have a petrol leak then it can cause catastrophic problems like your car being completely burnt out in less than 2 minutes. I've have seen this done to a poorly fitted system in an old fiesta and believe me it aint pretty. You could even add a few pics for the not so technically minded. i can even give you some if you want. Other than that the how 2 is spot on.

Yep like Idrees said its pretty easy as the Starlet is easy to take apart. Don't drill a hole in the car for an earth like a lot do when there is plenty of earth points all over the car. Just undo a bolt that goes into the metal of the car and put it there. Easy I'll get a pic up of the earthing point if you want.

Yes thats correct. You can over the standard RMS rating not the max rating.

Thanks Joz Firstly all the speakers you have got are pretty good but for future reference it is always best to stick with one make as you get a better sound quality. You may not notice straight away but if you listen really carefully you can tell the difference slighlty. Sorry im a perfectionist. For the front speakers you can run them off the head unit but don't have too much bass on them as they are only small so they wont take too kindly to a battering. They will even sit perfectly in the same place as the old ones aswell. As for the 6x9's the will definately need amping as the headunit will barely move them. You already have Kenwood 6x9's so a good kenwood amp should go with it. This amp has a good amount of power to push them so they should sound pretty good. Remember it is always better to go over the recommended rms rating than to go under. Plug the amp into the rear RCA output in the back of the headunit aswell to get the right sound field. Also remember a system is only as good as it's wires. If you use a cheap wiring kit the sound quality isn't going to be as good as if you used a good wiring kit. If you need anymore help just ask.
