  2. Lol, shame to see this thread stop, he makes some interesting points...but...for comparison check out the videos here: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forum/viewthr...24584#pid213539
  3. I think fensport do the conversions but they wont be cheap.
  4. Perhaps it was like nanglebadgers one? 1.3 SR? I'm guessing a 106 rallye with a gti engine would be pulling low 7s to 60, alot faster than a stock SR, but against a 1.3 turbo, doubtful especially as most of the members cars are modified. Mind you they could have fluffed a gear change or something and are shouting "BOLLOCKS!" I know I would be
  5. with a decat you'll find it willing to rev alot easier and probably come on boost a bit sooner.
  6. Hi and welcome! Use http://www.imageshack.us/ to upload and host your images, just follow the intructions on the site.
  7. Love the wheels on that, what type are they? I'll have to keep an eye out for you by the Oracle!
  8. Spotted a pic from the starlet thrash in the back of the calendar in a bit of a montage, it's the one with Geo I think doing a one wheel burnout with someone holding the car back...class photo
  9. yeah interesting point, when I declared the mods on my mini, they weren't concerned that I had doubled the horse power, only if I had a roll cage...crazy! £600 without a cage...£2500 with a cage...check with your insurers first before you get one.
  10. you'll need to log in to the board first. I'm not saying who I voted for, she might get a big head
  11. Are you getting creamed by the Astra? You should kick his ass...
  12. This is where I got it from: http://www.tdi-plc.com/STARLET.html
  13. Car looks good, welcome aboard!
  14. Do you guys go to any track days at Castle Coombe?
  15. I thought when boost is electronically controlled it would be more reliable as you don't get spikes in boost?
  16. They are from: http://www.4q.cc/vin/index.php http://www.4q.cc/chuck/ http://www.4q.cc/t/
  17. Tooo......much.....fibre......glass....aiiiiieee!
  18. mmm those GT4 pics remind me of too much time spent playing Sega Rally! tricky choice, probably rule out scooby, tempted by the evo, but you can get a tidy UK GT4 with history, that's worth quite a bit...also have you considered a 200sx? four wheel drive is good, but doesn't compare to rear wheel drive
  19. ....soooooo performance figures! standard gt/glanza 1/4 miles anyone? oh anyone know fuel tank capacity, range and fuel consumption? ta
  20. yeah, had a look around their site and I'm not convinced about them...seem like a pile them high, sell them cheap type, wasn't much mention of history, quality or customer service...
  21. how about this? http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/CARS_...200548216339950
  22. Rich, repeat after me "Psssssh" now when you're driving next, put the car in first, pretend it's third and put your foot down while making that sound, there you go...turbo power! Next week I'll be giving lessons on how to convince attractive but thick girls your car is a Ferrari...
  23. *looks around at ikea furnishings, leaves, wheels in "La-z-boy" , sits down, lifts the arm to reveal a fridge, pulls out a cold beer and cracks it open....mmm comfy*
  24. Sounds like your car doesn't like the cheap stuff! Has your car been retuned for our lower crappy petrol? There's a big octane difference in average petrol in Japan and our premium stuff. Really a jap import should be running on Optimax AND octane booster but most ECUs can handle a couple of points difference to Optimax but premium, probably not. I'd suggest putting some octane booster in the tank and take it easy for a while to see if it settles down. try not too boost too much, if it's knocking and you're boosting you can knacker you engine.
